Chapter 100: Teaming up with Mei Terumī
The four subordinates subconsciously looked up at him.
Genjutsu: Falsehood Heart Technique!
Hanakawa instantly released his genjutsu.
Because his hand sign speed was so fast, it looked to Mei like he simply clapped his hands, and the four people immediately froze in place.
She didn't have time to think and unleashed the jutsu she had prepared.
Water Style: Water Pillar Jutsu!
A water sphere, like a meteorite, crashed down from the sky, hitting the four people trapped in the genjutsu.
With a crash, water splashed everywhere, completely engulfing them. Blood welled up.
Seeing this, Hanakawa raised his hand and threw four kunai.
The kunai accurately pierced their hearts, and the poison on them spread instantly.
The four were dead on the spot.
Hanakawa retreated, blending in with Mei's Water Clones.
His work here was done; he left without a trace, his name hidden.
"You incompetent fools!"
Yomi was furious, seeing his four subordinates defeated by a single girl in an instant.
As for Hanakawa, because of the distance, he hadn't revealed himself.
"Go kill her," Yomi waved his hand.
The puppets that had been protecting him swarmed out.
"It's over!"
Mei's face turned pale.
With so many puppets, they couldn't possibly get close to Yomi.
"Anbu!"
Hanakawa suddenly shouted.
He knew that Tsunade hadn't taken all the Anbu with her.
The next second, four Anbu appeared and worked together to hold back the puppets.
"Four of them? That's enough."
Hanakawa let out a sigh of relief.
"What?"
Yomi frowned.
But he quickly made up his mind.
He reached out and manipulated his own body.
The next second, he grinned menacingly, and a powerful aura shot into the sky.
He had used Dark Medical Ninjutsu on himself, and his power had temporarily reached its peak.
"What is that jutsu?"
Mei's expression hardened, feeling the pressure.
"This kind of amplification jutsu can't last long," Hanakawa warned.
In this state, his genjutsu would be ineffective.
The essence of genjutsu was to disrupt the flow of chakra in the enemy's body, but Yomi's chakra was already in a state of chaos.

A thick mist spewed from her mouth, and in the blink of an eye, it enveloped her and Hanakawa.
Yomi didn't have Wind Style, but he was so strong now. He simply shook his hands.
Chakra surged out like a current, rushing towards the mist and dispersing more than half of it.
"Hmm?"
Yomi's eyes narrowed.
Inside the mist, Mei and her Water Clones were nowhere to be seen.
The next second, the water beneath him exploded, and a water dragon engulfed him.
But Yomi stood proudly as his chakra, like a free fountain, formed a barrier around him.
The water dragon crashed into it and was repelled.
"So you were there!"
Yomi saw Mei.
She was in the sea of water created by Gonbei and the others, swimming like a mermaid.
Yomi raised both his hands and clapped them together.
Large amounts of chakra, like cannonballs, crashed into the water.
Body Flicker Jutsu: Water Shroud!
Mei's body turned into a puddle of water, allowing her to dodge his attack.
Yomi sneered, clapping his hands together again.
The chakra, like sharp blades, pierced into the water.
A streak of red suddenly appeared in the water.
Mei's body appeared in the water, she had been hit, and her blood drifted outwards.
"Nothing more than a nuisance!"
Yomi shook his head.
Just as he was about to go for the kill, an unexpected current of air materialized out of nowhere.
Yomi's body stiffened.
He instinctively turned around and saw Hanakawa charging towards him.
There was another one?
He was so well hidden and only came out now.
But… he's just a brat!
Chakra surged into Yomi's hands, and his speed suddenly increased. He clamped his hands together, trapping the katana.
The next second, the surface of the water behind him splashed.
Hanakawa, enveloped in lightning, appeared. This was his real body, and he threw a punch at incredible speed.
Chakra Enhanced Strength!
Hanakawa hit Yomi.
The terrifying force made his arm like a lance.
Even without a tip, it was enough to pierce through Yomi's body.
"Ho-… how is this possible?"
Yomi looked down and saw the bloodied fist.
And the blood was his own.
Hanakawa gave him no chance. He pulled his hand back, took out a kunai, and aimed for his neck.
Blood sprayed out, and Yomi was no more.
Seeing this, Hanakawa immediately deactivated his Lightning Release Chakra Mode.
He had used Lightning Style jutsu before, but the Lightning Release Chakra Mode was derived from Lightning Release Chakra Activation.
Just to be safe, he had wrapped another layer of lightning around his body.
Yomi's death was deserved.

Mei Terumī emerged from the water.

She took out a change of clothes and put it on. Her face was flushed from the recent ordeal.
"You're hurt. Let me heal you," Hanakawa said, walking to the base of the tree.
After a few seconds, Mei appeared before him.
The blush on her face hadn't faded. She kept her head down, not daring to look at him.
"Where are you hurt?"
Hanakawa smiled and asked.
Mei hesitated.
"I'm a medical ninja. What are you scared of?" Hanakawa said, noticing her expression, his tone righteous.
"You pervert!"
Mei said, flustered and angry.
But after a few seconds of hesitation, she lifted her shirt, revealing her slender waist.
What had once been her smooth, white skin was now a bloody mess.
Hanakawa held out his hands, and a light green chakra enveloped her waist.
Ten minutes later, the wound was completely healed.
"Thank you," Mei said, quickly pulling her shirt back down in a low voice.
"The puppets are still fighting," Hanakawa knew she was shy, and looked at the puppets in the distance, changing the subject.
"The puppets should be controlled by Moryo."
Mei looked worried. "The outcome all depends on what happens on Ao-sensei's side."
"Don't worry. They are strong. They'll be fine," Hanakawa comforted her.
In the original story, it was only mentioned that Miroku sealed Moryo with her life. It was unknown which shinobi from the Five Great Villages participated.
But no matter how powerful, they wouldn't be able to surpass the current configuration of Tsunade and Sakumo Hatake.
There was no reason for them to fail.
The only mystery was whether Miroku would survive.
"Do you need to change?" Hanakawa asked, noticing that Mei was only wearing a jacket. "I can stand guard for you."
"You pervert!"
Mei couldn't help but say, "I know you want to look!"
"You're slandering me," Hanakawa said without a change in expression.
"Wait!"
Mei suddenly stood up and looked into the distance. "Look at the puppets!"
Hanakawa looked over. The puppets had all stopped moving.
Did Tsunade's group succeed, or could Moryo no longer spare the energy to control them?
"Looks like the mission is over," Hanakawa said, letting out a breath.
Working with Mei to kill Yomi had made him realize what it felt like to dance on the edge of a knife.
"Yeah," Mei looked at him. For some reason, she suddenly felt a sense of loss.
The next time they met might be on the battlefield.
