Chapter 9 - Chapter 9 Xiaozhi, who is at full power, and the Spearow flock, meet the imaginative girl Xiaoxia on the way.

The smoke slowly dissipated, and Ash and Pikachu focused on the aftermath of the Wave Bomb.

In Ash's estimation, being able to defeat five or six Spearow and injure the rest with this Wave Bomb would already be considered an outstanding effect.

But when the final result came out, it far exceeded his expectations.

The dozen or so Spearow that charged at the front, every single one of them, were knocked out!

Ash couldn't help but look at his hands; this was only the result of him using fifty percent of his power. If it were a full-power Wave Bomb…

Good heavens, is this what Bo Dao Xiao Zhi meant by power comparable to a legendary Pokémon?

It seems his understanding of Pokémon is still too shallow. He should have listened more carefully when Professor Oak was lecturing.

"Pika-pi…" What a monster…

Pikachu swallowed, saying it involuntarily.

Having stayed in the human world for so long, he had never seen such a perverted person.

The skill he used when fighting him before seemed to have been held back. If it had the same power as this move now, he probably wouldn't have just been severely injured and unconscious; he might have gone to see God that very day.

"Let's get them, Pikachu! Half for each of us!"

"Pika Pika!" You eight, I two!

Ash rolled his eyes, not refuting Pikachu's distribution, because as of now… he was stronger!

With that, one human and one mouse charged towards the flock of Spearow!

Ash's Aura Power was fully unleashed, his Wave Bomb rampaging through the flock of Spearow, relieving a lot of pressure on Pikachu.

Pikachu, meanwhile, seized opportunities, constantly using Thunder Shock to stealthily take down one or two Spearow.

Most of the pressure was on Ash. Facing the swarming flock of Spearow, he used Wave Bomb with one hand and opened an Aura barrier with the other, like a god of war!

In less than five minutes, all the remaining Spearow were struck down from the sky by Ash and Pikachu!

"Huff… huff… Still chasing? I told you, don't force my hand, the consequences are severe!" Ash panted, hands on his hips, looking at the fallen flock of Spearow, saying with an arrogant expression.

Pikachu, imitating Ash, also put his paws on his hips, looking smug.

As a starter Pokémon, having barely experienced any battles, he had taken down almost an entire Pokémon group on his first day out! If word got out, he would definitely be revered by all mice!

Although the main force in this battle wasn't him at all.

After dealing with this group of Spearow, one human and one mouse finally got a chance to catch their breath. Ash took out a map, roughly checked their position, and found that, due to the pursuit of the Spearow flock, they were already very close to Viridian City.

Even at a normal pace, they should be able to arrive by tomorrow morning.

"I have to say, we should thank these guys. If it weren't for their chase, we probably wouldn't have gotten to this place so quickly," Ash said with emotion, putting away the map.

Pikachu nodded in agreement from the side. Afterward, one human and one mouse prepared to continue their journey. As for the defeated flock of Spearow, they hadn't suffered any serious injuries.

Although they had all lost their combat ability, with a Pokémon's physique, as long as the root wasn't damaged, they would recover quickly.

Otherwise, the Alliance would have to prohibit attacking wild Pokémon. After all, wild Pokémon don't have Trainers. If they lose combat ability and need to recover at an Elf Center, not many people would be bored enough to do such a thing.

Normally, as long as the damage caused isn't particularly severe, wild Pokémon can slowly recover on their own, and they'll be bouncing around again in no time.

"Wait a minute, Pikachu." Just as Pikachu was about to leave, Ash suddenly spoke, turning his gaze to a tree not far away.

"You over there, come out, I've already found you."

The place where they fought the flock of Spearow was like a country lane, with the surrounding ground covered in grass, and various flowers, plants, and trees not far away, a rather wild area.

Ash hadn't noticed at the beginning of the battle, but during the fight, Ash had already sensed an Aura presence on a tree not far away.

From the strength of the Aura, it didn't seem like a Pokémon's Aura, which meant someone was hiding behind that tree.

The scene of him and Pikachu battling the Spearow just now must have been seen by that person. Ash didn't care about that, but what he didn't understand was why that person was still hiding behind the tree and not coming out.

If it was because of fear of the Spearow and not wanting to cause trouble, then they should have come out when the flock of Spearow was defeated!

His heroic display of defeating the Spearow just now was seen by someone, wasn't it worth them coming out to praise him?!

That's right, Ash was operating on this idea when he called out to the person behind the tree.

How could someone see such a cool battle and still manage to hide to the side?

"Still not coming out? I'm going to make a move!"

"No, no, no!" A clear voice rang out, which made Ash pause. From the voice, the person hiding behind the tree was a girl?

As the figure emerged from behind the tree, Ash also got a clear look at the person.

It was a girl with a ponytail, wearing a sleeveless yellow crop top that slightly stretched over her full chest, and denim shorts. Her attire looked very cool, with her fair arms and long legs exposed, reflecting light.

Her round, doll-like face, combined with a delicate nose and jewel-like emerald eyes, made her look playful and cute, but her adorable face was now filled with panic.

"A girl? What were you hiding behind that tree for?"

"Cough, cough, I… I just happened to be passing by. I didn't see anything just now, didn't see anything at all."

"Liar! You must have been by that tree for a long time!" Ash mercilessly exposed the girl's lie.

"I… I didn't mean to see it, don't kill me to silence me!" The girl put her hands together, head bowed, pleading.

This time it was Ash's turn to be utterly bewildered.

"Silence you? Is there something wrong with your head?"

"…"

After an initial conversation with the girl, Ash finally understood why she hadn't wanted to come out and why she had that expression when he called her out.

The girl's name was Xiao Xia. When she first saw Ash and Pikachu battling the flock of Spearow, she had intended to help.

After all, how could a Trainer with only a Pikachu possibly contend with so many Spearow?

However, in this battle, she had misjudged the protagonist. The main force battling the Spearow wasn't Pikachu, but the human Trainer!

Watching Ash rampage and lay waste, Xiao Xia couldn't help but imagine if he was some kind of secretly modified android or something, a superweapon belonging to some secret organization, and so on…

This was also the reason Xiao Xia didn't dare to come out after the battle ended.

Listening to Xiao Xia's increasingly outlandish theories, Ash quickly interrupted her speculations, stating that he was just a human with some special abilities, and a Rookie Trainer at that.

After Ash's earnest explanations, Xiao Xia finally believed him and breathed a sigh of relief, at least she didn't have to worry about being silenced anymore…
