Chapter 1 - 1

"Ha, ha, ha." Rhythmic breathing could be heard from a room, and in that room, a young man could be seen doing a set of push-ups.

"97, 98, 99, 100."

The boy finished off. Standing, he pushed back his black strands of hair as he wiped sweat from his head. His green eyes were energized despite the workout. The boy stood at about 5'9", maybe 5'10", with a toned body that showed this workout had been part of his daily routine for some time.

"Malic" The boy heard his name. Turning around, he saw his mother—Maleficent, Mistress of Evil. The most evil fairy the world had ever seen.

"Yes, Mother," the boy, now named Malic, answered.

"Come, walk with me. I have something to tell you."

Maleficent turned and walked out of the room without waiting for his response.

Quickly following behind her, Malic gazed around, looking at his surroundings. No matter how many years had passed, he still couldn't believe he had truly reincarnated.

That's right. Reincarnation.

In his old life, Malic was a normal college student living with his parents, working a part-time job to pay for the things he needed, and then one day, seventeen years ago, he woke up as a baby in a movie series he used to watch as a child: Descendants.

"Are you listening?"

Maleficent's voice brought him from his thoughts.

"Sorry, Mother, what were you saying?"

"I really don't like repeating myself," Maleficent said, her eyes glowing. "Soon, you'll be transferring to another school—Auradon Prep."

That stopped him in his tracks.

Finally, the plot was starting.

"Auradon? But how?" he asked, despite knowing the answer. Prince Ben, the son of Belle and Adam—better known as Beauty and the Beast—asked his father to give a chance to the kids of villains, claiming their parents' choices weren't their own.

In the original plot, it was just his sister Mal, and her friends: Evie, daughter of the Evil Queen; Carlos, son of Cruella de Vil, and Jay, son of Jafar.

However, according to his mother, it seemed he'd be going as well.

"It seems one of those princes believes you kids should be given a chance at a 'better life.' Ha ha," his mother laughed. "How naive," she finished.

"Will I be the only one going?" he asked, hoping that aside from himself, a few more names had been added to the list.

"No. Your sister and her friends will be attending as well," she said.

None of his friends, but that was okay. He could always bring them over himself.

"Ah, that reminds me. I have a task for you. Once you get to Auradon, retrieve the Fairy Godmother's wand and break the barrier surrounding the Isle." She stared into his eyes. "I was originally going to ask your sister, but we both know she's a bit soft. She doesn't have the heart of evil like you do." She smiled proudly.

"Very well," he responded. "How long until we leave?"

"You have two days. And don't tell your sister. I'll tell her the day of."

"Understood. If that's all, I'll begin preparing," he said, walking away.

"Do not fail me, my son," he heard his mother say behind him.

POV Change (Malic)

As I walked through my room, I began thinking.

So I just follow the plot?

No, that's boring. Although I liked the movie in my old world, I don't see myself sticking to the story. I mean, what's the point of living in a world of magic and not having a little chaos?

'Maybe I will destroy the barrier' I thought with a smirk.

Once I got to my room, I took a much-needed shower before changing out of my workout clothes.

"Time to see the gang," I said once I finished up.

Leaving Bargain Castle and hitting the streets, I once again began taking in my surroundings. Violence, theft, and chaos ran amok. Nothing like my last world. I watched as people ransacked shops, stole candy from babies—literally.

As I made my way toward my destination, people scattered out of my way. On the Isle, my reputation was just as notorious as my mother's.

Finally reaching my destination, I stood in front of a rundown shop.

Inside, bottles were scattered across the floor. Trash filled the room and dust layered everything.

"Why? It's not like we get any customers," a voice responded.

From the shadows, a young man standing at 6 feet even stepped out. He had long arms and a confident posture, his presence commanding attention despite the mess around him.

He had deep brown skin and short, curly hair. His bright green eyes surveyed the room with a hint of amusement. He wore a fitted black jacket over a patterned shirt, showing a sense of style that contrasted with the cluttered environment. Leaning casually against a dusty table, his arms crossed, he looked relaxed.

"Besides, I think it adds character," he added, amusement in his voice, glancing at the chaos with mock seriousness. "Who wants to be predictable, right?" He waved a hand dismissively, clearly enjoying the ambiance of their little hideaway, even if it looked like a disaster zone.

He stepped further into the room, the light catching on a few scattered trinkets that reflected the eccentricity of their business.

"But hey, if you're feeling motivated, I won't stop you from transforming this place into a five-star establishment. Just don't expect me to help out," he grinned.

"Victor," I acknowledged.

Victor. My best friend. Right-hand man. One of the few people I trusted on an island where you couldn't trust anyone.

He was the oldest son of Dr. Facilier—another character that didn't exist in the original movie, or at least wasn't mentioned.

We met at ten. I was searching for magical artifacts.

Though they had no use on the Isle, I knew one day the magical barrier surrounding us would fall. I had heard of a local vendor claiming to sell real artifacts.

Navigating through the markets, I finally reached the vendor's shop.

I admit, when I was young, I was a bit naive. Maybe it was because I was still looking at this place like a Disney movie and not like an island full of villains.

Anyway, to make a long story short, Victor stopped me from making a deal I would've regretted for the rest of my life—and since then, we've been partners in crime and more.

"You're up bright and early. Couldn't sleep?" I continued.

"As if. I've gotten used to you coming in and bothering me," he replied, nearing me. "So what's on the agenda today? Some classic thievery? Artifact hunting?" he continued.

"No, nothing today. Let's go get the others. I've got news to share."

"Something important?" he asked, curiosity dancing in his eyes.

Smirking, I replied, "Life-changing."

Hello everyone, Welcome to my fanfic. Just a few thing to clarify. This story is an original idea, however i'm sure you can see the chatgpt in some of the story, I didn't ai to write the story but i did use it to fix any mistakes and improve some like the character descriptions and backgrounds, simply because those are my weak points. Hopefully one i won't need any aid while writing but for now i'll be using it.

This Is a Descendants AU so everything won't be the same. Some characters are OCs and some of the original characters won't make an appearence.
