Across the world Phillip paced across the living room, fists clenched, his jaw tight. His eyes burned with frustration as he stared at the TV replaying the Global Competition highlights.
"Look at him," Phillip snapped, pointing at the screen where Dayo's performance was being replayed. "This guy… this guy is everywhere now. Why can't he just disappear? How did he even make it into the Global Competition?"
Vivian sat on the couch, arms folded, trying to keep her own irritation under control. "Phillip, calm down. You'll give yourself a stroke at this rate."
"Calm down?" Phillip spun on her. "You expect me to sit here while he gets paraded around the world like some golden boy? After everything? All the insults and shame he put me through? No. No one does me like that and gets away with it. Never." His voice cracked with anger.
