Regarding Starlight, Kevin certainly found her very endearing.

As one of the few conscientious characters in The Boys' storyline, a young woman who wanted to become a true Superhero from beginning to end, Kevin naturally had a lot of goodwill towards her.

But to say he liked her, it hadn't reached that level yet.

Madelyn's inquiry about this matter surprised Kevin slightly. He looked at Madelyn and tentatively replied:

"Starlight, as a newcomer, she's not bad. Is there something wrong with her?"

"Nothing, it's just that for this new movie, we might arrange for Starlight to make a cameo appearance in your film, which will also be a warm-up for Starlight's independent storyline. If you don't mind…"

"Oh, so that's it. I don't mind, of course I don't mind."

Seeing that Madelyn's intention wasn't to pair him up with Starlight, Kevin breathed a sigh of relief.

Vought has always prioritized profit. If Madelyn thought that a Deep and Starlight pairing could bring significant revenue to Vought, then Kevin might genuinely have to be with Starlight in the future.

Even if they were just a superficial couple.

Kevin didn't want to deal with such troublesome matters.

Because Starlight's personality was completely different from his. He was a slacker who just wanted to earn enough money and then lie flat, but Starlight was an energetic young woman who still harbored dreams of being a Superhero.

Their personalities were completely at opposite extremes, and coupled with the fact that Starlight now always made her own assumptions about Kevin, Kevin found her even harder to deal with.

So, now hearing that the other party only wanted Starlight to make a cameo in his movie, Kevin naturally said there was no problem.

Superheroes making cameo appearances in each other's movies is a common occurrence in Vought's Superhero films and series.

Just like in the Marvel or DC series of movies, it's very common for Superheroes to make cameo appearances in familiar hero solo films.

Deep had once made a cameo in Translucent's "Invisible Force," and Translucent had also helped Deep out in "The Deep."

Starlight is a newcomer, and Vought is now trying to support this newcomer, so they will naturally try every possible way to create opportunities for her.

Now that Deep is shooting a new movie, it's the best opportunity for Starlight to get her own solo movie.

Appearing in "The Deep" will then lead to Starlight's personal storyline, and because Starlight made a cameo with Deep, Deep will probably have to return the favor later.

Kevin had no objection to this; the entertainment industry is like that, it's all about favors. Everyone is an artist under the same company, so doing this is certainly fine.

Uh... it seems they're not artists, but Superheroes...

Never mind, it's all the same anyway.

After discussing the movie, Madelyn had Kevin leave.

Because Kevin still had his own work to do: filming environmental videos, promoting the aquarium, and also going to a water location to film a 'show' of rescuing people. These were all Kevin's tasks.

The Seven meeting had just concluded, and everyone had gone to attend to their own matters. Even Starlight had been called by Ashley to discuss her debut script for the next few days.

Kevin, of course, couldn't be idle either.

Leaving Madelyn's office, Kevin began preparing for his new day's work.

However, whether it was a coincidence or something else, as he entered the elevator, he saw a young man dressed in ordinary casual wear and a jacket, with the demeanor of a shut-in, standing in the elevator with a backpack.

He looked very nervous. As Kevin got closer, he could even hear his rapidly beating heart.

Wait a minute, this guy... could it be...

The moment he saw this young man, Kevin squinted slightly.

If nothing unexpected happened, this guy who looked like a shut-in should be the male protagonist of The Boys TV series, Hughie Campbell.

He didn't expect such a coincidence, to meet him in the elevator.

By the way, shouldn't he be taking The Seven's internal elevator right now? How did this kid get in?

Kevin pondered, initially not wanting to bother Hughie, but when he saw the numerical keypad inside the elevator, he couldn't help but remind the young man next to him:

"Hey, I say, did you forget to press your floor? Which floor are you going to?"

"Ah? Ah... I'm sorry, I'm very sorry!"

Kevin's sudden words startled Hughie. He quickly looked at the numerical keypad inside the elevator and then rapidly pressed the number 1.

"You only need to press it once."

Kevin watched the number 1 light up and go out, then go out and light up again, his expression speechless.

No, young man, anyone would be able to tell you have something to hide with that demeanor, right?

Kevin didn't intend to meddle, but seeing Hughie's nervous appearance, he couldn't help but tease:

"Are you a new recruit? I haven't seen you before. Why are you so flustered, like you've done something bad?"

"?!"

These words startled Hughie. He quickly explained:

"No... no, I just... I just..."

Perhaps under pressure, Hughie, in a moment of desperation, said to Deep:

"I was just... just a little excited to suddenly see a member of The Seven!"

"Excited? Well, it's not that big a deal. If you can take The Seven's internal elevator, you'll have plenty more opportunities to see members of The Seven in the future."

"Uh... this, I actually... actually... A-Train's assistant told me to leave through this elevator..."

Hughie thought of A-Train, and his previously tense mood immediately calmed down, as if he had found an anchor to steady his mind.

Kevin looked at Hughie in surprise:

"A-Train?"

Then, as if he had just realized something, he said with sudden understanding:

"Oh, I heard A-Train say he was going to deal with the family of the person who was hit and killed. You're the victim's family member, right?"

"Yes, that's me."

Hughie admitted frankly.

"I'm sorry to bring up your sorrow. Please accept my condolences."

Kevin became slightly more serious and said to Hughie.

Hughie suddenly looked up, gave Kevin a very strange look, and then quickly looked away.

"It's nothing. A-Train was saving the world at the time, so there was nothing that could be done."

"Even if it's for saving the world, 'accidentally' killing someone isn't a good thing."

What's more, A-Train was just high on drugs at the time, and it had nothing to do with saving the world.

After Kevin finished speaking to Hughie, he said nothing more.

It wasn't until the elevator reached the floor Kevin was going to that he patted Hughie's shoulder and said:

"Don't think too much about it. Things always pass, don't they?"

"Yes, that's right, thank you."

Hughie thanked Kevin, though it was unclear if he had truly taken his words to heart.

Kevin didn't say much more to him and left the elevator after speaking with Hughie.

The two were merely passing acquaintances at the moment, so it wasn't appropriate to say too much. Kevin also had no intention of becoming friends with Hughie.

A few words would suffice; saying too much would only make people suspicious.

You agree, don't you, Translucent?

After leaving the elevator, Kevin glanced back slightly.

After gaining Water Manipulation abilities, Kevin had become quite sensitive to the water vapor content in the air.

Just now, Kevin had felt the water vapor exhaled by a third person in the elevator, besides himself and Hughie.

Without a doubt, that was the perverted peeping tom, Translucent.

He must have, just like in the original story, noticed Hughie's strangeness and followed him to see who was behind Hughie.

If the plot continued to develop like this, Translucent would probably still end up being blown up by The Boys.

Kevin could have actually pointed out Translucent's presence just now, telling him not to follow them anymore.

But it's still the same old saying.

What did this have to do with him?

Moreover, Kevin himself had a reason.

He didn't point out Translucent's presence out of consideration for Translucent's image in the hearts of his 'fans'.

If people found out that Translucent was a pervert who liked to invisibly peep and openly flash people, wouldn't Translucent's reputation be completely ruined?

Kevin was doing this for his teammate!

Thinking this, Kevin was even moved by himself.

So...

After this day passed.

Vought discovered that Translucent was missing.

And this, of course, had nothing to do with Kevin.
