Hello, sorry I've been quiet over the past few days.
I just finished watching and reading My Dress-up Darling, and all I can is... so fucking good.
As per usual with romcom, felt so satisfied but empty after reading the last chapter, but it also makes me feel motivated to write again.
I love it so much, I'll definitely do my best in writing this series. In fact, I'll be writing as much about it as I can starting today. Will stockpile a few chapters before uploading though.
Also, I noticed how quite slow paced it actually is. Like I don't think I remember ever watching a romcom with 2 seasons stay in a single grade, nor have a birthday celeb between the two main characters ever.
It is what it is though. I'm also surprised they got married right after graduating high school, but it's actually not too surprising if you think about it, at least in their prospective occupation.
Imagining me writing about their marriage just excites me tbh, so I hope to write a lot about this.
And about the characters, at first while watching season 1, I thought of making it harem with Sajuna Inui because of how much I also liked her chracter, but watching more and more up until season 2 with Marin, I just thought fuck that and sticked with our main girl fr. It's a pity with Sajuna, but I just love Marin's character more. So no harem.
And about Gojo... Honestly I have mixed opinions about him. I dont really like him being so flustered and embarrassed for no reason, but I guess that's a romcom male character for you... Always shy, looks down on himself, and initially friendless.
However, I do like him when he locks in. Although the way I write him will be quite different to the original, so I hope you don't mind.
He will NOT be a transmigrator or whatever. There is NO system.
Although I do intend on making him more talented in certain areas. In my opinion, my biggest mistake with writing Crossover: My Sweet Daily Life is giving the MC a kind of "system." Honestly, all it does is give me headache. Also in my opinion, adding a system in slice of life just seems unnecessary for the most part. In the future, I just intend to make my MCs more talented than usual instead.
As for this book, just as I mentioned before, I don't intend to really drop it. It's just that I want to focus on writing the My Dress-up Darling fanfic while the ideas are still fresh in my mind. I'll probably continue updating this when I start uploading for that fanfic.
Therefore, the next chapter that gets uploaded here will definitely be the announcement for release of the My Dress-up Darling fanfic.
