In Abodo's house, the four friends were studying for tomorrow's math quiz.
"I don't really understand why we are learning math," Vincy commented suddenly. "Just use the calculator and BAM! You solve it!"
"That's not true, silly," Ema replied. "You must study to solve confusing problems. The calculator can't solve everything."
"Yeah, Vincy," Taro agreed. "Or else, the whole school wouldn't be necessary."
"School is necessary? I think NOT!" Vincy exclaimed.
After a few hours, they finished studying. Taro went to the kitchen to prepare orange juice. Vincy laid on the couch, while Yukiko and Ema were chatting. When Taro returned with the juice, Vincy offered:
"Hey, want to play videogames in my house?"
"Ah, sounds good!" Taro responded. "How about you two?"
"No problem I guess," Ema answered. "Even though I'm not interested in gaming."
"Then it's decided!" Vincy declared. "Let's go!"
After they finished drinking, they headed to Giannsoni's house. The moment they opened the door, they saw a young lady with short brown hair, wearing an orange top and blue jeans.
Vincy recognized her immediately, as she was his elder sister.
"Veronica! Long time no see!" Vincy shouted, trying to hug her.
However, she kicked him in the face, sending him backwards, falling along with the trio.
"HEY! WHAT WAS THAT FOR?!" He shouted, pointing toward her.
"Who are you, intruder? How do you know my name?" She asked, shocked.
"WHAT DO YOU MEAN INTRUDER?! THAT'S ME, VINCY!" He yelled.
She paused out of shock, then asked:
"How do you know my brother's name?!"
"IDIOT! I AM YOUR BROTHER!" He repeated, pointing at his chest with his thumb. "Ugh... fiiiiine... VincenzoGiannsoni."
She stared carefully at his face for a few seconds. Then suddenly, she hugged him tightly.
"VINCYYY! IT'S REALLY YOU!" She exclaimed, holding his cheeks. "What happened to your hair? Why do you look... different?"
"Sheesh, slow down," he said, releasing his face. "It's a long story, and not only me."
After that, he pointed toward Taro with his thumb.
"Who is that handsome boy over there?" She asked, arms crossed.
H-Handsome?!Taro thought, blushing with a nervous smile.
"That's Taro, you already knew him since we were ten," Vincy responded. "Also say hello to these two: Yukiko and Ema."
"Ne, who is she?" Yukiko whispered.
"Vincy's older sister," Ema responded, whispering back.
Veronica ran to the two girls, hugging them under her arms.
"AWWW! THEY'RE SOOO CUUUTE!" She exclaimed. "So Vincy, which one is your girlfriend?"
"No girlfriends obvious–" Vincy responded.
"Me, ma'am!" Ema interrupted, repositioning her glasses.
"NO YOU'RE NOT!" He yelled.
"Come on, Vincy," Ema replied, clearly teasing, "won't you tell them about our first kiss?"
"Oi kisama, how dirty are you?" Yukiko asked, pissed.
"W-WHAT KISS?! I DIDN'T EVEN TOUCH YOU!" He shouted, completely shocked.
"AND WHY ARE YOU BLUSHING RIGHT NOW?! DON'T LISTEN TO HER! SHE'S TEASING ME!" He added, pointing toward Taro.
The girls began laughing, then Veronica asked:
"So, why did you dye your hair? Mom will kill you if she knows."
"I didn't dye it," Vincy answered. "Oh well, guess I owe you an explanation."
After they entered, they began explaining what happened the day they got their powers.
"Oooh, interesting story," Veronica commented. "So what happened?"
"What do you mean what happened?! That's what happened!" Vincy said.
"Come on, Vincy," she replied. "Do you think anyone would believe your fictional story easily?"
"ARE YOU SERIOUS?! Sigh... fine, you leave me no choice," Vincy exclaimed. "{BERSERK MODE}!"
The moment he pumped his fists together, a powerful red electrifying aura burst.
"Do you believe us now?" Vincy asked, grinning.
"Wow! What kind of visual effects are these?" She asked innocently.
"ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!" He shouted.
"Now I understand why Vincy is an idiot," Ema whispered. "Their stupidity is inherited."
"GUYS! SAY OR DO SOMETHING!" He requested.
Instantly, Taro unleashed his {Azure Shield} from his sleeve. After that, Yukiko equipped her katana, and Ema illuminated a small luminous orb in her hand.
"And now...?!" Vincy asked, completely bored.
"You don't seem lying anymore," she replied, surprised. "How is that possible anyway?"
"Yeah... such a bizarre phenomenon," Vincy responded, "but believe it or not, that's what happened."
They paused for a few seconds, then Vincy asked suddenly:
"By the way... why are you here?"
"I returned to visit my old friends in high school," she answered. "Along with seeing how you are, and maybe bring you with me back to Italy."
"Thanks, sister," Vincy replied. "Too bad, I can't return right now. But no worries, I'll return for my college there."
Suddenly, Ema's senses went wild, activating her {Falcon Eyes}.
"Another portal?" Taro asked.
"It seems so," Ema answered.
"Guess duty calls us!" Vincy replied. "Sorry sister, but we need to stop that portal."
"Portal? What portal?" Veronica asked, confused.
"Another long story, now catch ya later!" He responded, waving.
After Yukiko used her {Equip Spell} to change their clothes and equip their weapons, they headed to the raided area. On their way, Ema noticed another portal had opened in a different area.
"In that case, we need to split up," Taro decided. "Yukiko and Ema, go to the other portal. Me and Vincy will go downtown."
"Got it!" The trio shouted.
As said, Ema and Yukiko went to the second portal near the metro station, while Taro and Vincy headed downtown.
"Yo, Taro," Vincy called while running. "What do you think we will fight?"
"No idea," he responded. "What matters is stopping them without letting anything hurt civilians."
When they arrived, they saw a massive purple kraken. The monster began roaring intensely.
"W-WHAT TYPE OF OCTOPUSES IS THIS?!" Vincy exclaimed.
"That's not an octopus, that's a kraken," Taro replied. "Getting closer to it will be dangerous."
"Aw man, we should've brought Ema," Vincy said.
"No worries, we can still defeat it without getting closer," Taro comforted.
Instantly, Taro unleashed several {Azure Slashes}, cutting some of its tentacles. However, they grew again.
"Tsk. Cutting its arms won't be effective," Vincy said, pissed.
"I'll try again but closer," Taro replied.
Without hesitation, he dashed toward its tentacles and cut them off, yet it was no use. He tried more and more, but nothing worked. Suddenly, Vincy shouted:
"TARO! WATCH OUT!"
From his left, one of the tentacles swung toward him. He stopped it with his shield, yet many more struck until it broke his shield, sending him collapsing into a building wall.
Vincy tried to help him, yet the kraken sent him flying as well. However, he managed to regain his balance before hitting the wall.
"That annoying fish... how is it even breathing without water?!" Vincy whispered aggressively. "I have no choice but to use my {Berserk Mode} now!"
"Yoo-hoo, Vincy!" A voice called suddenly.
He turned to the right, seeing his sister waving while holding a camera.
"Say cheeeeese!" She exclaimed.
"VERONICA?! WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?!" He yelled.
"Encouraging you! That big balloon is hilarious!" She responded.
"STAY AWAY! THAT THING ISN'T A BALLOON!" He warned.
"Not a balloon? What is that then?" She asked, confused.
Before Vincy could say anything, the kraken grabbed her by the belly.
"Whoa! It's alive!" She said. "Is that an octopus?"
"No way... it captured her!" He whispered. "I can't do anything as long as it's holding my sister!"
Then, the kraken began targeting Vincy. He managed to avoid its incoming hits. Veronica slapped the kraken, making it stare at her.
"Don't you dare hurt my little brother!" She threatened.
The kraken roared, then got closer to eat her.
"VERONICA!" Vincy yelled.
Suddenly, the kraken's tentacle holding her was cut off.
"I got her! I got her!" Vincy repeated.
However, she landed on him, collapsing.
"Ouuuch... try losing some weight, sheesh!" He said.
"Gasp! How dare you!" She replied. "Never say that to a woman!"
The one who cut the tentacle was Taro. Both his body and eyes were glowing. The kraken began targeting him, yet Taro kept cutting its tentacles over and over again.
After a few seconds, he jumped on one of them, unleashing a ladder of shields to reach its head. Instantly, he stabbed the head and slid down slashing until the neck. Lastly, he cut its head by circling its body while slashing, causing it to collapse entirely.
After the glow faded, Taro reunited with Vincy and Veronica.
"Hey Vincy, I noticed the portal is still open," he said. "Can you send it back before it grows its body again?"
"Leave it to me, buddy!" Vincy accepted. "Also... try wiping the blood off your head."
"Ah... didn't notice it, thanks!" He replied.
After that, Vincy activated his {Berserk Mode} and smashed the kraken toward the portal. After a few minutes, the portal vanished.
"Sheesh, finally!" Vincy said.
"You two... ARE AMAZING!" Veronica exclaimed.
"Meh, that was nothing," Vincy replied. "Besides, the one who defeated it was Taro, not me!"
"Yeah, but you still helped me, Vincy," he said.
"That reminds me... how could you glow like that?" Vincy asked.
"That's because... I grabbed my emergency aids with me," Taro responded, pulling date fruits from his pocket, winking.
"Oh, this fruit... nice thinking!" Vincy replied.
"What is that?" Veronica asked.
"Magical dates I planted in my garden long ago," Taro explained. "Come on, taste it!"
Veronica picked one, then ate it.
"Whoa! Delicious!" She reacted.
"There will be no big difference for her since she has no powers," Vincy replied.
"Right, also make sure not to swallow or bite the kernel," Taro suggested.
"Can we plant it on our farm?" She asked.
"Sure, I'll give you some saplings before your return," Taro accepted.
A few minutes later, Yukiko and Ema joined them.
"How was it going?" Ema asked.
"We took care of a big purple kraken, what about you?" Vincy asked back.
"Same here, but smaller ones," Ema responded.
"There were so many," Yukiko added, "but defeating them wasn't very hard."
"Great job, guys," Taro replied. "Now let's head back!"
Three days later...
The four friends met with Veronica before leaving.
"Okay everyone, this is our good-bye!" Veronica said.
After that, she intensely hugged the two girls and Vincy.
"Sheesh, I'm not a little kid anymore, sister," Vincy growled.
"Hehe, you're still my little adorable brother, despite your age," she replied, squeezing his right cheek. "Another thanks for you, Taro!"
"You're welcome, sister... take care of yourself!" He waved.
After that, she rode a taxi heading to the airport.
"Ah... little kawaii brother, kochi kochi koo!" Yukiko said, clearly teasing Vincy.
"You know... I have something kawaii too if you want to taste it!" He replied aggressively with a scary grin, showing his clenched fist.
"K-Kōmen," she apologized, sweating.
Then, Ema joined the conversation, posing attractively:
"So, Vincy. Who is more beautiful, me or your sister?"
Vincy gave an unimpressed stare, then responded mockingly:
"Umm... I choose the sandwich!"
Then, he grabbed it and started eating.
"Tsk. Such a fool," she whispered, pissed.
Then, Taro and Yukiko chuckled together!
