Chapter 3 - Chapter 3: Encountering Something Dirty

The police quickly found the container used to store cyanide in the toilet tank of the bathroom.

Coincidentally, after everyone entered the room, no one had gone to the bathroom except for the deceased and Mr. Kitagawa.

In front of the High school student detective who saw through everything, Kitagawa Kengo had nowhere to escape and finally confessed to the crime of conspiring with his wife to poison.

"It's all because of that idiot Tomoko! She took those photos with Inoue, and after being blackmailed, she actually turned around and used my illicit gains to threaten me!"

Kitagawa Kengo knelt on the ground, roaring in anger.

This marital relationship had actually broken down long ago.

The only reason it was still maintained was because he had a handle in her hands and had to be manipulated.

For today's matter, he had long decided which of his subordinates would be the scapegoat.

He had also secretly done a lot of tricks.

If the police really conducted a search, they would be able to find some things in someone's home and company.

"Mr. Kitagawa, please settle my payment."

Seeing the truth come to light, Tsuneo stopped Kitagawa Kengo, who was being handcuffed.

"If it weren't for that Inoue guy dropping the rag into the toilet, you probably wouldn't be here."

Kitagawa Kengo, having recovered his composure, sighed and asked the Officer beside him to take out two thousand yuan from his wallet and hand it to Tsuneo.

"You were too careless."

"If I were you, since you were already prepared, you wouldn't think of hiding the container with cyanide in a place the police couldn't find."

"The more complicated you make the case, the more suspicious the police will be, and the more extensive their search will be."

"Within two hours, they will turn your house upside down."

"Moreover, wouldn't it be better to choose a complicated company environment as the crime scene?"

"You just had to drag your wife into it as an accomplice, revealing so many flaws."

"Are you still blaming others now?"

Tsuneo asked with a smile, put the money in his pocket, and turned to leave with his tool bag.

With such low intelligence, he couldn't even handle his own wife, yet he planned to murder someone.

It was simply overestimating his own abilities.

He didn't read books or newspapers, and couldn't even commit a murder properly.

After listening to Tsuneo's analysis, Mr. Kitagawa shed tears.

The forty-year-old man actually cried with a 'woo-woo-woo' sound, feeling wronged.

Inspector Megure took a deep look at Tsuneo's retreating figure, put his hand on Mr. Kitagawa's shoulder, and said, "Let's go!"

In this case, neither the deceased nor the two culprits deserved sympathy.

Tsuneo only cared about his income for the day.

He had previously earned ten thousand yen helping Dr. Agasa build a wall.

After deducting material costs, he should have four or five thousand left.

Now he earned another two thousand, and if he fixes a TV tonight, there will be another income, which is delightful.

"Great Detective, I let you enjoy your deduction today, shouldn't you show some appreciation tonight?"

Tsuneo looked down at Conan.

Although he earns a lot each month, after deducting rent and utilities, he only has enough left for food.

Of course, he is indeed a big eater…

This is probably also related to his constantly improving physical fitness.

"It was only after your reminder that I caught Mrs. Kitagawa."

Conan shook his head, a sadness not belonging to his age appearing on his face.

When he was Kudo Shinichi, which time didn't he just walk straight into a crime scene?

Unlike now, where he has to sneak into a yard and hide in the bushes to observe the situation.

"If you had seen the scene, you would have known faster than I did."

Tsuneo still couldn't resist, and rubbed Conan's dog head vigorously.

The big head is very smooth, it must be full of wisdom, right?

Conan slapped away the demonic hand on his head and glared fiercely at the other party.

"If I tied you up and sent you to Yukiko, I'd definitely get a large reward, right?"

Tsuneo took out a bundle of thin rope from his tool bag and showed a dangerous smile.

"Cough, cough, what do you want to eat tonight? Shall I pay?"

Conan's face returned to its innocent and naive expression, and he asked sincerely with blinking eyes.

"I'll give you the bill tomorrow."

"Okay!"

After the matter concluded.

Conan returned to the Mouri Detective Agency, while Tsuneo, before nightfall, went to a high-end apartment building to help someone fix a television.

Under Dr. Agasa's guidance, he had repaired this type of bulky TV many times, so he understood the basic structure and working principles.

This family was lucky; none of the components were damaged, only a small problem with a solder joint.

Tsuneo fixed it easily.

"Thank you, big brother!"

The little boy excitedly turned on the TV and searched for cartoons.

"You're welcome!"

Tsuneo collected the money, left a business card for the male owner, and then turned to leave.

This apartment building has thirty floors in total.

Through the clean and bright glass of the corridor, one can see the prosperous and brilliant urban night view at a glance.

Compared to his small apartment, this place doesn't seem like it belongs to the same era at all.

Wait, it seems like something dirty is coming downstairs!

Damn it, how did I encounter this guy just by fixing a TV?

Alright, to commemorate the deceased in this building, I must eat a lot tonight!

One and a half minutes later.

Tsuneo took the descending elevator and successfully met Conan and his group, who were outside the elevator, about to go upstairs.

After the trio's surprise, Mouri Ran smiled and nodded, being the first to speak.

"Tsuneo Ge?!"

"Ran, Uncle Mouri."

Tsuneo simply greeted them, ignoring Conan's puzzled face, and was about to leave.

He recognized that the leader was the popular idol Yoko Okino, and he also vaguely recalled this case.

Investigate a case?

Anyway, Kudo is not in danger, so what's more important than eating?

"Wait, I think I've seen you somewhere?"

Yoko Okino called out to Tsuneo, her beautiful eyebrows slightly furrowed as she tried hard to think of something.

"Ran, is she trying to flirt with me?"

Tsuneo covered his mouth and asked in a low voice.

"Sh-she probably isn't…"

Mouri Ran looked down and exchanged glances with Conan, both smiling awkwardly at the same time.

Only Mouri Kogoro and the manager, Yamagishi Ei, looked at Tsuneo warily, not knowing if they regarded him as a suspect stalking Yoko-san or a love rival.

"Ah, I remember now! Weren't you helping someone fix a car on the street last week?"

Yoko Okino's eyes lit up.

"Were you the one wearing a mask and sunglasses?"

Tsuneo also remembered; there was indeed such a wealthy client last week.

It was a minor issue, and he earned five thousand yuan in ten minutes.

Empty-headed, lacking practical skills, but with a thick wallet—this was a high-quality client!

Just as Yoko Okino was nodding with a smile, inwardly sighing at how small the world was, the tall and handsome man opposite her suddenly pulled out a stack of business cards…
