Chapter 1 - 0. Prologue

"Grandpa, what is the story behind this photo?" my grandson asked, pointing to an old photo from my collection.

An old, dust-covered photo—but filled with memories.

"Oh, this photo... you know, this one is very special to me," I replied with a warm smile, keeping my gaze on it.

Even if it has gathered dust over time, I still have memories attached to it.

"Then please, Dadu, tell me the story—please!"

I always tell him stories behind the photos I've taken whenever he visits me on vacation.

So of course, it's natural for him to ask about this one too.

I can't resist him when he makes those cute faces.

"Okay, but you have to help me out with my shop."

"Deal!" he said with excitement.

He's still only twelve, but I love the way he's always curious and enthusiastic to hear my stories.

I took him to my shop and showed him my antique camera—the one I used to click that photo.

"So, this is the camera that helped me capture the best moments of life," I said, brushing my fingers across its worn body.

"Wow! So this is the camera that clicked yours and Dadi's photo? The one I found?" he asked, his eyes wide with wonder.

So innocent. Still unable to recognize our faces in that photograph.

I used to be quite a handsome guy in my prime—but time has changed how I look.

The wrinkles, the grey—they've reshaped me.

So if he still recognizes me as the young man in that photo, he's not entirely wrong.

"No, I'm not the guy in this image. And the woman is definitely not your Dadi. They are someone else. I just clicked them."

I gave a final look at the photo before beginning the story.

The guy and girl, sitting on the railway station bench next to each other—smiling out of happiness.

At first glance, it seems like a simple photo capturing a simple moment.

But what makes it special… is the story behind it.
