Sabrina's golden eyes twitched, her entire face contorting as she processed what this butterfly woman had just said.
Her jaw clenched so hard her teeth ground together audibly, the sound sharp enough to cut through the tense air.

The insult tore from her throat like a feral snarl, her body trembling with rage that had nothing to do with cultivation and everything to do with pure, unfiltered humiliation. Veins bulged along her neck and temples, her skin flushing hot with blood rushing to her face.

The ground beneath her boots cracked—then shattered completely.
Her body vanished.
