Chapter 1 - The City Drowns

The sky was torn apart by the sound of thunder, and the rain fell heavily, hitting the asphalt like bullets. The city streets were drowning. Not because of the rain, but because of something deeper chaos.

In the heart of this stormy night, a black Dodge Charger Hellcat tore through the streets like a bullet on the run. The car's body was slick and wet with rain, its engine roaring powerfully in the narrow roads, and its tires sprayed water left and right as if aggressively ripping through the open streets.

Behind it, six police cars gave chase at full speed. Their red and blue lights reflected off the wet walls, creating terrifying paintings on the facades of abandoned buildings. The sounds of sirens rose and drowned in the heavy downpour, as if the entire city was weeping from its depths.

In the lead police car sat Detective Nicolas Riley, in his mid-forties. His face was sharp as a blade, and his gray eyes never blinked, as if they were fixed on a single point: the rear of the black car. His hand gripped the steering wheel, tensed until the veins bulged, and the other rested on the gearstick, ready for any sudden turn. Raindrops lashed against the windshield in a rhythm of madness. The slick ground made driving closer to a dance on the edge of death.

"A Hellcat not just anyone can drive it like that," he said in a low, hoarse voice.

Beside him sat Detective Jane Carter, a young blonde in her late twenties with a small tattoo below her neck. She watched the thermal tracking screen connected to the drone.

"The car is registered as unknown..no plate, no fingerprint, no clear heat signature from inside Nick, this isn't normal," she whispered, her voice trembling.

"Of course it's not normal we're chasing a ghost," Nick said, raising an eyebrow without looking at her. He added in a calmer, more confident tone, "This car belongs to the Leviathan Syndicate the gang everyone fears, even the strongest criminals and the police. Their leader, whose face no one has seen, is known by only one title: The Ghost Don. He's the main reason for all the hell in this city, and he's the one who started the era of gangs here a long time ago."
