"Captain, that's everything. We really messed up."
Kiryuu Aika finished her explanation, eyes darting to Tenra for any sign of anger. The moment he so much as frowned, she was ready to switch gears—cutesy voice, shameless begging. Dignity? She'd lost that ages ago.
"All of you had the same excuse?"
Tenra's gaze swept the dojo, cold and unblinking.
"Captain, we know we were wrong."
One by one, the girls bowed their heads again. No one dared mouth off with Tenra in this mood.
It was almost funny—if he wasn't so annoyed. Their pitiful faces softened his resolve. He sighed.
"You lucked out this time. Next practice, you all go straight home. No more hanging around."
If Kuoh Town was the stage for this world, Kuoh Academy was its spotlight. Most days, it was just a peaceful school. But tonight—like so many times before—it was a battlefield, hidden behind ordinary walls.
The girls realized Tenra had forgiven them. Relief swept through the room; the tension dissolved.
"We won't do it again, Captain. Promise!"
"You really came to save us… I'm so touched."
"Captain, Captain! The monsters outside are terrifying! And that's magic, right? It's really magic?"
Questions flew from every side, excitement mixing with fear. No matter how serious Tenra sounded, they couldn't grasp how close they'd come to disaster.
Ignorance really was bliss.
"Enough. Stay put. Don't ask questions. When I've dealt with the monsters outside, I'll come back for you."
Tenra cut them off, voice sharp. He turned to leave, but paused, thinking.
Raynare's barrier around the kendo club was only meant to keep out peeping boys—not withstand a supernatural battle. If the fighting spilled over, this place would be flattened in seconds.
Tenra made his decision. Power surged through him. The girls gasped as a shimmering, ancient mirror materialized behind him—one of Tenra's Sacred Gears, the [Yata-no-Kagami].
At his command, the mirror blazed with light and soared upward, forming an invisible dome over the club.
"Whoa… Captain, that's amazing!"
They didn't understand what was happening, but their eyes sparkled. Tenra was a hero in their eyes now—maybe even more than before.

On the sports field—
CRACK!
A wild pillar of energy shot skyward. Yubelluna and her team, maintaining the barrier, nearly lost their grip as the ground trembled.
Valper Galilei's face twisted in manic joy. "It's done—the holy sword Excalibur is fused!"
Within the magic circle, five swords merged into one. The air buzzed with raw power.
BOOM!
The last Cerberus crashed to the ground. Rias and Sona's teams were breathing hard, sweat on their brows.
Valper addressed the crowd, voice ringing with pride. "I'll absorb the power from the sword fusion. That was the Archbishop's deal."
He turned to Rias and Sona. "I've cast a land-destruction spell. In twenty minutes, your school and your town will be nothing but rubble!"
Kokabiel, perched on his throne, laughed—long and loud. Rias and Sona's faces were grim.
"You really are a monster, Kokabiel!" Rias spat.
"We won't let you get away with this!" Sona added.
Kokabiel only looked more amused. "Freed—show them what the new Excalibur can do."
"On it, BOSS!" Freed crowed. "Super-perfect Excalibur-chan, here I come! Now, who's first?"
He drew the fused blade from the magic circle, eyes gleaming with bloodlust.
Irina's voice was steady, but cold. "A fallen priest wielding a stolen Excalibur—both are stains on the Church."
"Rias Gremory, Sona Sitri—leave this lunatic to us."
Rias and Sona were ready to jump in, but Irina and Xenovia stepped forward, determination blazing.
Rias nodded. "He's yours."
They'd need all their strength for Kokabiel.
Freed grinned, mocking. "My opponents are the holy sword sisters again? Scary, scary!"
He sneered at their battered iron swords. "But what can you do without your holy blades? Yahahahaha!"
Last time, they'd left him battered and humiliated. But now, with the fused Excalibur, he was unstoppable.
Xenovia's eyes narrowed. "Holy sword or not, I'll judge you all the same."
"Irina, now!"
"Right!"
No time for words. The two launched themselves at Freed.
Freed vanished, dodging with ease. His speed was inhuman—faster than any Knight. The power of the [Heavenly Flash Excalibur].
Irina and Xenovia exchanged glances, then flashed after him, matching his speed.
CLANG! CLANG! CLANG!
Sparks burst in midair—their forms too fast to follow. In seconds, they'd traded dozens of blows.
"Hah… hah…"
Irina and Xenovia broke apart, gasping for breath. Pushing themselves to this speed was brutal; their swords, now twisted scraps, couldn't take it.
Freed reappeared, gloating. "I win! Super Excalibur-chan, I love you!"
He danced with joy. Alone, he'd be no match for either girl—but with Excalibur's power, he'd crushed them.
Kokabiel watched, amused. Rias and Sona's teams looked sick. Time was running out. If Irina and Xenovia couldn't win, they'd have to intervene.
Irina's voice trembled. "Xenovia, what now? Without holy swords, we're finished."
Xenovia's jaw tightened. "No choice. I can barely control it—but I have to use that sword."
"Irina, get back!"
Irina's eyes widened, then she nodded and retreated.
Freed smirked. "Going solo, blue-haired holy sword girl? Bad idea—you'll die!"
Xenovia ignored him. She closed her eyes and began to chant:
"Petra, Basil, Dionysius, Holy Mother Mary—hear my voice…"
Space warped. A massive blue sword, wrapped in chains, slid from a rift in the air. As the chains snapped, Xenovia gripped it tight.
"Power within this sacred blade—be released!"
"The Holy Sword—Durandal!"
