Chapter 313 - Chapter 313: Kiyome Abe’s Visit

Chapter 313: Kiyome Abe's Visit

The great hall was awash in morning light as Tenra, Rias, and the girls savored breakfast in effortless elegance. Tenra rarely cooked, but when he did, his touch was unmistakable—every dish drew satisfied smiles from the girls.

"Tenra Kamiyo, Rias—I'm heading back to the Norse lands for a bit."

Rossweisse spoke up just as Mira and the others began clearing the table.

"Something up, Rossweisse?" Tenra asked, Rias and the rest turning their attention to her.

"After watching your battle with Sairaorg, I realized I've got some gaps in my magic. I want to upgrade my spells, but I'll need to dig through some old records in Scandinavia."

Tenra and Rias nodded—Rossweisse was a true prodigy, and as Rias's [Rook], she was invaluable. If she pulled this off, her power would soar. No one doubted it was a good move.

"How long will you be gone?"

"About a week."

"Need help with school stuff?"

"I've already asked Yubelluna to cover for me."

"Alright. Go and come back soon—we'll all be waiting, Rossweisse."

"Mm!"

Rossweisse might be scatterbrained and obsessed with discount shops, but she was family now, and everyone adored her.

After promising to return quickly, Rossweisse grabbed her luggage and, with the group waving her off, stepped into the glowing magic circle.

"Let's get going too," Tenra said—the clock was ticking. He and the girls headed out for school.

On the way, passing by the Hyoudou residence, they ran into Issei, just stepping out.

"Ohayou, Issei-kun."

"O-ohayou, Tenra-kun."

Tenra greeted him, but Issei tensed up the moment he saw Tenra and the girls.

"Haven't seen much of you lately, Issei-kun. Want to walk together?"

Tenra flashed a friendly smile at the former protagonist of this world.

"N-no, it's fine! I'm waiting for someone else—you guys go ahead."

"Haha… ha…"

Issei's refusal was quick and awkward.

Tenra raised a brow, but didn't press.

"Bad Tenra, looks like Issei's terrified of us," one of the girls snickered.

"Means the hero who dreamed of saving the world with oppai finally grew up—not the rookie he used to be," another teased.

"Tch, save the world? He's just a perverted boob freak."

"C'mon, Irina, give him a break. It's not easy being him…"

The group's banter faded as they headed for school, leaving Issei to wipe sweat from his brow, finally able to breathe.

Just as Tenra said, Issei wasn't the clueless rookie anymore.

Back during the Kyoto trip, Tenra had given Issei and his two partners-in-crime a crash course on the supernatural world. Later, after fighting stray devils and rogue spirits, the trio dug deeper, finally grasping the true nature of their world.

Turns out, humans weren't the rulers they thought—they were just pawns for stronger races. Devils, angels, fallen angels, youkai, vampires… even gods roamed the earth.

The more they learned, the smaller they felt. Especially after hearing rumors about Tenra from a stray devil—"Sacred Gear Plunderer," "Lord of Two Heavens," "Phoenix House's Miracle"—the list went on. In short, Tenra Kamiyo was so absurdly OP, he could flick them out of existence without breaking a sweat.

And it wasn't just Tenra—the girls around him were no joke either. Princesses, queens, holy sword wielders—any one of them could wipe out the "Pervert Trio" in a blink.

No comparison, no pain. After learning these brutal truths, the trio nearly wept.

Life winner? Tenra was the definition.

While they struggled with minor monsters, Tenra had status, power, and a harem of beauties. Total humiliation.

This world was just unfair.

From that moment, Issei swore to keep his distance from Tenra Kamiyo.

That guy was a walking cheat code. If he ever got annoyed and decided to squash them, they'd be doomed. Worse, he radiated an aura of destruction—any male within range took psychic damage just by proximity.

No way could they risk it.

Of course, Tenra had no clue about Issei's inner turmoil. And even if he did, he wouldn't care.

Would you bother with an ant's opinion on the sidewalk?

Life settled back into its usual rhythm—Tenra wrote love notes to Rias and the others during class, coached the Kendo Club girls after school, and occasionally dropped by the Student Council to deepen his "connections." His days were as busy—and rewarding—as ever.

"Mmm… No wonder Queen Rias's tea is so famous. This flavor…"

Kiyome Abe closed her eyes in bliss, savoring the tea Akeno had brewed.

"Rare visitor, Kiyome-san. What brings you here? Didn't you say you didn't want to get too close to us devils?" Rias asked, a teasing smile on her lips.

"That's true, but it's important to maintain basic relations. I'll be stopping by the Sitri house later too."

Kiyome's posture was as refined as ever—the perfect young lady.

"So, just a routine courtesy call?"

"Pretty much. Nothing to worry about."

Rias chuckled, while Kiyome nodded, then glanced at Tenra.

"Red Dragon Emperor, I hear you've been making waves again. Not bad."

Was it Tenra's imagination, or was there a hint of jealousy in her voice?

"Talking about my match with Sairaorg?"

Tenra's lips curled.

"What else? The whole industry's buzzing about it. Even the old geezers in my family are impressed, saying it's worth building ties with a promising new devil like you."

"So, you're the Abe family's ambassador sent to butter me up?"

"D-don't get the wrong idea! I didn't volunteer. The old fossils kept pestering me, so I came—under protest!"

Kiyome's cheeks flushed as she hurried to clarify.

"Alright, alright—I get it."

"So, what does Kiyome-san want from me?"

Tenra stifled a laugh, careful not to provoke the tsundere.

"N-nothing, really! Just cooperate a little. T-that's all…"

She probably had no idea what her family actually wanted. Tenra and Rias exchanged glances, both amused.

They spent the next while chatting with Kiyome. Aside from her tsundere streak, she was easy to get along with—well-read, cultured, and as a scion of a monster-taming family, her knowledge was impressive. Rias took the chance to pick her brain on a few topics.

All in all, the visit was pleasant. Kiyome, having completed her family's "mission," seemed much more relaxed.

"Red Dragon Emperor, don't forget what you promised me."

As she rose to leave, Kiyome suddenly turned to Tenra.

"Oh? Need my help with something?"

Tenra's smile was gentle.

Last time, when Rias needed help with a club report, she'd asked Kiyome for assistance. In return, Tenra had promised to help Kiyome whenever she needed it. Now that she mentioned it, she must have something in mind.

"N-not yet, but probably soon. When the time comes, you'd better not back out!"

Whatever she was thinking, a blush crept over Kiyome's cheeks, making her look even cuter.

"Don't worry. If it's something I can do, just ask—I won't refuse."

Tenra nodded. A promise was a promise.

"Good. I'm holding you to it."

Satisfied, Kiyome bid farewell and headed off to the Student Council.

"That Kiyome-san is interesting. Don't tell me someone's got their eye on her?" Rias teased, watching Kiyome leave.

"Rias, can't you trust me even a little?"

Tenra rubbed his nose, exasperated.

"Oh, I trust you with everything—except that. You really think I could trust you, Mr. Oppai Emperor?"

Rias's look was pure mockery. Tenra's face froze.

Damn it, who the hell gave him that nickname? If he ever found out, heads would roll!
