ROOOAAARRR!
The human-faced Evil Dragon tore through the sky, wings beating like thunder. Its hulking form smashed aside both allies and enemies, scattering dragons in every direction as it barreled straight for Tenra.
Tenra answered with a battle cry of his own. Holy spear in hand, he became a streak of golden light, rocketing forward. The two figures collided and flashed past each other—a blur of speed and violence—before halting midair.
Down in Carmilla's royal city, the vampires froze. Even Queen Carmilla and her elders felt their hearts jolt. In a single exchange, Tenra had punched a gaping hole through the monster's torso.
ROOOAAARRR!
The beast howled in agony, but fresh muscle and sinew writhed around the wound, closing it at an impossible rate.
Tenra's eyes narrowed, lips curling in amusement. "Still clinging to your vampire healing, huh? Rizevim must've really spoiled you."
He spun the True Longinus in his grip. "Let's see how long that lasts."
With a bloodthirsty grin, Tenra unleashed a flurry of thrusts. The holy spear extended, blindingly fast, stabbing again and again into the Evil Dragon's flesh. Each strike erupted in a spray of blood and torn meat. The sky became a butcher's nightmare—red rain and flying viscera.
The monster's regeneration couldn't keep up. Wounds multiplied. Its screams shook the heavens, and below, the vampires watched in horrified awe. The infamous human-faced Evil Dragon—unstoppable for so long—was being shredded before the Red Emperor like a rag doll.
ROAR!
Desperate, the dragon opened its jaws, preparing to unleash another inferno.
Tenra didn't give it the chance. The golden spear elongated, and with a savage swing, he smashed it across the beast's skull.
BOOM!
The blow sent flames choking back down its throat. The dragon's head reeled, blood pouring from fresh cracks.
"Red Emperor!"
The monster's voice thundered with rage and hate—a sound so violent, weaker vampires below bled from their ears.
Tenra appeared atop its skull in a blink, grinning at the grotesque human face embedded there. It was a perfect likeness of Marius Tepes. Seeing Tenra, its eyes flashed crimson. It spat a beam of blood-red energy, but Tenra dodged with lazy ease.
He scoffed. "You really are hideous."
With a sharp thrust, Tenra drove the spear straight into the monster's face.
GYAAAAAH!
The creature convulsed, shrieking in pain as agony wracked its body.
ROOOAAARRR!
Hundreds of mass-produced Evil Dragons surged toward Tenra, desperate to save their leader.
He snorted, spear flickering like lightning. In moments, the attackers were impaled and purified—some killed instantly, others dissolved by the holy spear's power, their screams trailing as they fell from the sky.
"Keep the small fry off me."
Tenra's order was clear. The Heavenly Dragons responded at once, swooping in to form a living barricade around Tenra and the human-faced monster—a vast sphere in the sky, dazzling and impenetrable.
From within, the Evil Dragon's wails echoed, chilling every vampire who heard them.
No one doubted the monster's strength. But today, it had met something even more terrifying.
On a high tower, a striking vampire elder with fiery red hair watched the carnage below. She couldn't help voicing the question on everyone's mind:
"Lady Akasha, do you know what reward the Red Emperor will demand, once he's finished with the Evil Dragons?"
Her words drew the attention of every elder nearby. The war's outcome was no longer in question. The Evil Dragons' defeat was inevitable. Now, all eyes turned to what price their savior might claim.
Only Akasha knew what she'd promised Tenra. After all, he'd saved their entire race—surely his reward would be anything but simple.
Queen Carmilla didn't answer. She just shot the red-haired elder a cold look.
The elder's heart froze, and she quickly bowed her head, not daring to ask again.
Back in the sky, the battle was ending. The Heavenly Dragons broke formation, revealing the aftermath.
The once-mighty Evil Dragon was reduced to a ruin—flesh barely clinging to bone, head pierced clean through by Tenra's spear. Its regeneration had failed. It was finished.
The monster's voice was little more than a venomous hiss:
"If I die, you're coming with me, Red Emperor!"
Its body began to swell.
Tenra's eyes narrowed in contempt. "Self-destruction? How original."
He soared higher, conjuring dozens of layers of Blade Blacksmith to seal the beast in place.
BOOM!
A sun exploded in the sky. The Evil Dragon detonated with the force of a nuclear blast, energy tearing through barrier after barrier. The vampires below watched, hearts pounding. But Tenra's shields held. When the explosion's fury finally faded, Tenra flicked his wrist and sent the remnants vanishing into the stratosphere.
ROOOAAARRR...
With their leader dead, the remaining Evil Dragons broke and ran, panic scattering them in every direction.
Queen Carmilla stood tall on her tower, voice ringing with ruthless command:
"Finish them! Leave none alive!"
The vampires surged skyward, racing after the fleeing monsters. The greatest threat was gone—now, nothing would stop them from wiping out the last of the Evil Dragons.
