A wave of dizziness washed over Lana as she clutched her head, and the next second, the entire scene formed into a vortex before a familiar voice echoed in Lana's ears.
"Miss Lana? Are you okay?"
The concern etched in the familiar feminine voice made Lana snap out of her daze, and she looked at Mathilda, who was standing near her.
In an instant, the scene where Mathilda was lying on the floor like a lifeless corpse flashed in Lana's mind, and she covered her mouth to stop herself from vomiting.
Mathilda worriedly patted Lana's back, trying to soothe her. It took Lana quite a while to suppress the urge to throw up.
After she felt better, the first thing Lana did was to hold Mathilda's forearm and ask in a trembling voice,
"You... you don't have a son named Xander, right?"
