Lucian didn't repeat himself, but Naina got the answer she was looking for, and a smile appeared on her face.
'My! My! Is Lucian still unaware of his feelings?' Naina thought in her heart with interest in her eyes.
But when she was reminded about Lucian's past, she froze. Technically, Lucian had never been loved by anyone.
Neither his family nor any kind of lovers. This caused him to become rather unfamiliar with the concept of love. Heck, Naina could bet all her money on the fact that Lucian might have misunderstood his feelings all along.
'Good for me! Saves me the trouble!' She thought proudly in her heart.
However, what she didn't know was... she missed the glint in Lucian's eyes. He stared at Naina like an idiot.
"Responsibility, huh? All right then. I won't be a hurdle to you then." With that, Naina walked away; meanwhile, the maids didn't forget to cast pitying glances in Lucian's direction.
