With newfound determination, Gobulo joined the hunt. His involvement significantly boosted efficiency, even without any strategic planning. By the time the hunt ended, several hours had passed, and Gobulo had some Goblins deliver the largest prey to the Troll.
Seeing the early delivery, the Troll's mood brightened. 'These Goblins just needed a lesson. I should remind them again in a few days to keep this efficiency.'
Unbeknownst to the Troll, a pair of eyes watched him from the shadows. Gobulo observed as the Troll casually discarded a magic crystal from the prey into his cave before feasting.
Magic crystals didn't glow in the dark, and first-order ones were black, blending seamlessly with the cave. That's why Gobulo hadn't noticed them before. If all the magic crystals from the Monsters the Troll consumed were there, there could be at least a thousand. With just ten first-order magic crystals needed per simulation, Gobulo could train for a long time.
Returning to the cave, Gobulo retrieved ten magic crystals, preparing for his second simulation. During the afternoon hunt, they had caught four additional small Monsters, which Gobulo discreetly claimed, adding to his cache of eleven first-order magic crystals.
"System, initiate simulation."
"Consuming ten first-order magic crystals, starting the second simulation."
"Detected 1 remaining evaluation point from the last simulation. Acquired a random low-level talent, Azure Pupil, slightly increasing vision."
Gobulo was pleased with this system mechanism, which returned leftover points in a useful form. The Azure Pupil talent, enhancing vision, was a welcome bonus.
"Simulation begins. Although you've just been born, you're already the strongest Goblin in the Tribe. Dissatisfied with the Troll leading the Goblins, you plan to overthrow him. You sense the Troll is unaware of your growing influence."
"In the first year, you focused on eating, training, and recruiting Goblins. Your power and influence grew rapidly."
"In the second year, your level rose to 12, and Critical Strike increased to Lv.8."
"Midway through the second year, the Troll disappeared for a few days. Upon returning, he killed several young Goblins in a fit of rage. You noticed his gaze towards you had shifted to one of hunger."
"Faced with this situation, please make your choice."
1. Formulate a detailed plan and, with your Goblins, assassinate the Troll.
2. Lead your Goblin team and leave the Tribe to find a new area.
3. Do nothing.
The choice appeared quickly this time. Gobulo deliberated carefully—his last simulation ended poorly due to a wrong choice.
Option Three was foolish—waiting for the Troll to strike first was not an option. He'd rather act than do nothing.
Option Two didn't appeal either; leaving for the dangerous Monster Forest was too risky. The Tribe's location was advantageous, and Gobulo aimed to strengthen himself in this simulation.
With two options eliminated, Gobulo made his decision.
"System, choose Option One: Take out the Troll and become the leader."
"Feeling uneasy under the Troll's gaze, you decide to act first. You spend a night crafting a detailed plan, assigning tasks to your Goblins. Anticipating potential mistakes due to their low intelligence, you create several backup plans. If even one part succeeds, your victory is assured. If all fail, you accept it, knowing you did your best."
"Time reaches the afternoon, the Troll's feeding time. As usual, you have Goblins deliver food. Seeing an abundance, the Troll refrains from raging and begins to feast. After a few bites, his body convulses violently—the poison is working. You signal the attack."
"Following your cue, Goblins launch stones and ropes, binding the Troll's limbs. Level 5 Goblins spear the Troll while you charge head-on, landing a Critical Strike on his head."
"Each Goblin retreats after attacking, allowing the next wave to strike, leaving the Troll no chance to retaliate. The plan succeeds beyond expectations, and the Troll is slain before all plans are executed."
"Contemplating the fallen Troll, you realize he was weaker than expected, likely a lesser Troll among his kind, which led him to lead Goblins."
"With the Troll gone, you become the leader of various groups. Unlike the Troll, you implement strict militarized management, ensuring rigorous daily training while providing ample food. The trained Goblins support your rule, and though young Goblins initially resist, you gradually win them over with discipline and communication."
