Chapter 9 - BLOOD HUNTER INFINITE PART 9

Bloodsteel Gangster

Episode 9 – Whispers in the Dark

The city was finished.

Entire districts had been turned into graveyards. The gangs were shattered, the cops gutted, the mercenaries burned. Tanks, helicopters, battalions—nothing could stop him.

And still, Kuro walked. Calm. Unshaken. His trench coat swayed as if it were a part of his flesh, his glowing red eyes cutting through smoke and fire. His body had grown monstrous—towering, his veins pulsing with liquid steel, every step heavy enough to crack pavement.

The government called him Public Enemy Zero.

The gangs called him The Devil of the Strip.

The cops called him The Immortal Executioner.

But none of their words mattered.

Because someone else had begun to whisper his name.

The Empty Streets

It was past midnight when Kuro lit another cigarette and walked through what had once been Southport Avenue. Now it was nothing but corpses, twisted cars, and crumbled buildings. The street was too quiet. Even the drones had stopped buzzing overhead.

That was when he felt it—eyes. Not human eyes. Something older.

Kuro stopped, exhaled smoke, and spoke into the silence.

"Come out."

From the shadows of a collapsed church, they emerged.

The First Hunters

Three figures stepped into the dim glow of broken streetlamps.

The first was a tall man in a black cloak, pale skin glowing faintly under the moonlight. His eyes burned crimson, fangs flashing as he grinned. A vampire.

Beside him walked a woman draped in robes, her hands glowing with sickly green runes that crawled across her skin like living scars. A warlock.

And behind them, a hulking beast covered in gray fur and scars, claws dragging sparks across the pavement. A werewolf.

They stood calmly, unfazed by the carnage. The vampire spoke first, his voice smooth and cold.

"You've made quite the noise, gangster."

Kuro didn't answer. He just drew his pistol from his arm, blade sliding free on the other.

The vampire smirked. "The humans couldn't stop you. So now they call us. You should feel honored."

The werewolf growled low, saliva dripping from his fangs. The warlock raised her glowing hands, whispers slipping from her lips.

Kuro exhaled smoke, eyes burning. "Then let's climb."

The Clash

The werewolf moved first, charging like a freight train, claws raised to tear Kuro apart. His swipe ripped through the street, carving pavement into dust.

Kuro didn't dodge. His chest split open as claws tore through him, but his body sealed instantly. He raised his pistol and fired. Bang. The bullet blew the beast's eye out, spraying blood.

The warlock shrieked, her hands glowing. A blast of green fire slammed into Kuro, burning his trench and skin. For a moment, his body melted—then the steel veins pulsed, sealing him whole again.

Kuro fired into her chest. She screamed as blood poured from the wound, but she didn't die—dark magic knitted her flesh together.

The vampire blurred forward, faster than any gangster or merc Kuro had faced. His clawed hand raked across Kuro's throat, nearly decapitating him. But Kuro's head sealed back in place instantly.

"Impossible…" the vampire hissed.

Kuro drove his blade into the vampire's stomach, then shoved his pistol under the creature's chin. Bang. The vampire's head burst, blood splattering across the street.

The body twitched, then crumbled into ash.

The warlock screamed, hurling bolts of green fire. They struck Kuro, blasting him back into a ruined wall, tearing holes through his body. But every wound sealed instantly. He walked through the flames, calm, eyes glowing like hellfire.

"Your magic's weak," he said flatly.

She raised her hands desperately, but his blade pierced her chest, his pistol fired into her skull, and she crumpled lifeless.

The Silence After

The street was quiet again, but not with peace. With fear.

The corpses of hunters lay at Kuro's feet—no, not just hunters. Supernatural beings who had ruled the city's shadows for centuries. And now they were ash, blood, and ruin.

Kuro sat on the hood of a wrecked car, lit another cigarette, and stared at the moon. His glowing red eyes burned brighter than ever, reflecting in the smoke.

"Doesn't matter if it's gangsters, cops, or monsters," he muttered calmly. "They're all just levels."

The Watchers

Far away, in the ruins of an abandoned cathedral, more eyes watched.

A council of shadows gathered—vampires with centuries of blood behind them, warlocks bound to forgotten gods, angels with broken wings, demons wrapped in flame. They had ignored the humans' chaos until now.

But Kuro was different. He wasn't just killing. He was breaking balance.

The oldest vampire whispered, his voice trembling with rage.

"If he continues… no one—human, demon, or god—will control this city."

The angel nodded, eyes burning like gold fire.

"Then we hunt him. Together."

For the first time in centuries, the supernatural factions agreed.

The Calm Before the Storm

But Kuro didn't know, or care.

He walked alone through the empty streets, his trench coat swaying, his glowing eyes burning through the night. His body was massive now, monstrous, every step cracking pavement.

Level 1,302.

Over 1.3 million dollars.

And still, he was calm. Unshaken. Detached.

Because for Kuro, there was no end.

No limit.

No ceiling.

Just the next kill.
