Chapter 2 - Chapter 1 : Back and forth

Ian, the 6th Great is on his way to answer a new threat. A disturbance has erupted in the Capitol. A demon—one not unfamiliar to Ian—is wreaking havoc near the Hero Academy.

The streets of the first story rumble with chaos as citizens scatter. Through the flashing lights and rising sirens, a dark figure speeds forward.

Ian, clad in sleek black armor, a sci-fi ninja with a high-tech katana, cuts through the city on his cyber motorcycle. As he arrives, smoke drifts from crumbling buildings.

The demon waits, snarling.

Ian steps off his bike.

Calm. Focused.

He looks the creature in the eye and speaks, voice cold and unwavering:

"Leave… or you're getting dragged back to prison."

Before Ian can finish the demon named Drunnith the Impaler,

A massive demon — nearly eight feet tall — wrapped in thick, jagged green armor, aura flickering like corrupted flame.

His face was hidden beneath a cracked helmet,

but Ian recognized the rage.

Drunnith roared and leaped into a hijacked military SUV, flooring it toward the expressway.

Ian is chasing him.

Ian "Hey, HQ, I need you guys to set up a roadblock east of the highway and close off all exits."

Drunnith rips the gun mount off the top of the car and starts firing at Ian,

Ian weaves in and out of traffic on his bike, and Ian returns fire from the two guns mounted on the front of his bike.

Drunnith runs into the barricade, and Ian parks his motorcycle like it is just another day.

Ian goes up to the SUV and rips Drunnith out

They scuffled

— blades clashed, fists collided — but Ian outmaneuvered him, flipping the Impaler onto the asphalt.

Ian puts him and cuffs and sends him back to the HQ for interrogation.

At the STF 100-story compound HQ, loud, Unyielding, and Alive.

The hallways were like highways with legendary warriors walking down.

Their names whispered in awe and fear.

In the interrogation rooms, the 6th Great Stark and the 7th Great Steel stood in a demanding presence, their presence alone made the room feel smaller. As they prepared themselves,

Ian gave Optimus the 5th Great a rundown on what happened.

Optimus, a knight, protector, and symbol of hope,

Ian says to Optimus, " I was able to take him down in less than 30 minutes; you owe me now."

Optimus, in a playful tone, says, "Thirty? That fast? You usually spend an hour just overthinking your opening move."

Ian rolled his eyes, but couldn't hide the smirk tugging at the corner of his mouth. Back in the interrogation room, Steel was able to get Drunnith to reveal that he had planted a giant bomb in the city.

Ian and Optimus fly down to the city on hover cars, and they discover that the bomb has seals and can only be accessed in unknown locations.

Ian assembles a recon team composed of him, Shadow, Deadshot Valor, and the 16th great. These are students trained by Ian.

They were in the briefing room in the HQ, where they used the clues of the seal and the bomb to trace it back to a well-known weapons dealer, named Korvex,

a known figure around the galaxy who supplies weapons for private armies and experiments with Demon tech and has a massive black-market empire.

After the briefing, they hop on a military transport ship, a sleek, matte-black military stealth vessel equipped with cloaking plates, dampened engines, and reinforced armor designed to withstand both kinetic and demonic blasts.

Its interior was tight and tactical — dim red lighting pulsed across metal walls etched with STF sigils, and a low hum vibrated through the floor as the engines cut through the void.

Ian's voice was low and precise, cutting through the hum of the ship.

"Veydras is unstable. Radiation pockets, fractured terrain, and warlords crawling over every crater. We're not here for a fight. We go in quietly, blend in, and gather intel on Korvex, and extract without starting a war."

Deadshot tilted his head, grinning beneath his mask.

"Right. No war. But if there happens to be a few prototype demon blasters lying around… I assume it's okay to bring home souvenirs?"

Shadow– "Funny thing… ran with Korvex once. Smuggling job, long before the STF. Back then, he still had a human eye and half a conscience."

Ian turned, surprised. "You worked with him?"

Shadow– "Didn't say I liked him. But I know how he thinks. He won't show his face unless the stakes are high, or the guests are interesting."

The ship jolted as it dropped out of hyperspace. Ian walked out with his armor-plated sic-fic ninja armor, katana holstered in the back, with his gauntlets on his arms with spikes on them.

Shadow in his sleek armor with a purple glow in the eyes of his mask, and Deadshot with his two Desert Eagles, his armed suit with a red outline on it, and his red bandana wrapped around his head.

They jumped from building to building, staying in the shadows. They got to Veydras' lair a man standing under the moonlight as it cracked through the window, showing him a long, tattered cloke made from demon hide with a mechanical arm with neon glowing through the veins.

Mask covers half his face, the other half scarred and corrupted from handling unstable demon tec.

Veydras speaks in a smooth, calculated voice — unnervingly calm.

"I usually get word when ghosts walk into my city,"

He said, voice smooth as oil, laced with danger.

"You slipped through like shadows. Which means… this must be urgent."

Ian says, "You sold a bomb to Drunnith. We need you to help us reverse-engineer it — now."

Veydras says

"The seals I used cannot be engineered, but broken you need to find the source that is keeping the seals together."

Ian asks where he can find these seals.

Veydras replies,

"Only for a price."

Then Ian jumps towards him, grabbing him by the neck and ripping his arm off, saying

"We're out of time. Give me what I need… or I'll sell your corpse to the Empire piece by piece."

Choking and trembling, Veydras raised his remaining hand and activated a panel on his belt. A small, flickering data pad ejected from his armor.

"Alright… alright. The seals… they're ancient. There three locations nodes that keep the energy tethered.

Break them, and the bomb collapses.

"Right, you need to go to these locations. He pulls out a data pad and gives it to Ian.

Ian tosses it to Deadshot and Shadow and tells them to scan it for viruses. Shadow pulled out a thin scanning blade, ran it over the device.

"Encrypted, but no viruses. It's legit."

Deadshot leaned in, holstering his rifle.

"He plays dirty, but he's not suicidal."

Ian turned to the team.

"We've got the data. Let's move."

The shadows swallowed them as they vanished from the lair — ghosts with purpose, and no time left to waste.

Back at HQ, Ian and the intelligence wing gather information and work overnight to find these locations.

Ian, talking to Optimus, tells him,

"So if we want to get rid of the seals, we have to go to these locations and break the mending bond of the seals,"

Optimus says

"Sounds simple enough."

Ian- "It would be — if these places weren't heavily populated. One is a city at war right now, and the last is struggling with a fake government. We can't go in guns blazing without turning this into a political mess."

Optimus gave a small nod. "Good point. We'll need precision." He stepped away from the table and went to bed.
