Chapter 18 - chapter 18 considering an Ally

After listening to Su Yichen's words, Yibai's face darkened. He had heard all of these things from Li Wei Zhi in his past life.

However, based on his recent interactions with Li Mùchén, he was not the malicious person that Li Wei Zhi, Su Yichen, and the Author had described, who was cruel, vicious, scheming, and inhumane and would harm his own brother and leave him disabled. Yibai had a strong conviction that things were not as simple as they seemed with Li Mùchén.

He knew that Li Wei Zhi, who appeared harmless and humble to everyone and was described as the solitary Pine that endured the harsh winter and climbed up from the depths of despair to truly become a paragon of the heavens in the novel, was actually the truly malicious one. Li Wei Zhi had used him to do many evil things to Li Mùchén behind the scenes.

Unfortunately, he had believed Li Wei Zhi's words and thought that Li Mùchén was a villain who would harm his own brother for the inheritance of the Li Family. Moreover, under Li Wei Zhi's deliberate arrangements, he had never met Li Mùchén in his past life.

If possible, he wanted to help Li Mùchén this time and give Li Wei Zhi a taste of his own medicine.

After making up his mind, Su Yibai put on a fake smile again and casually asked, "So, what do you want to express?"

Su Yichen directly reached out his hand and said, "So, you'd better be sensible and give me the transfer contract now!"

Upon hearing this, Yibai put away his fake smile and asked calmly, "What foolish dream are you having? You have taken enough from me, but do you think I will just accept it this time?" He would not accept it. He would not be a pushover like he was in his past life.

Su Yichen's face instantly turned ugly.

"I said so much, but you didn't listen to a word, did you? Do you think you can either seduce Li Mùchén or marry Li Wei Zhi smoothly? Let me tell you directly! Neither is possible! Your ultimate fate can only be returning to the mountain village where you lived before!"

"Are you done talking?" Yibai tapped his ear and said nonchalantly, "If you're done, I'll leave now. My ears are starting to hurt from hearing you talk."

Su Yichen was so angry that his face turned green, but he quickly stopped Yibai, thinking of his mother's arrangements. "Wait! Mom has arranged a styling shop for you. Let's go now."

"No need," Yibai pushed Su Yichen away and turned to leave quickly.

Su Yichen tried to catch up, but Jiang Mùyáng saw what happened and immediately instructed two staff members to stop Su Yichen.

"What do you want?"

"Nothing, we just don't want you to disturb Mister Su."

...

Without Su Yichen's disturbance, Yibai took his time choosing a navy blue suit. The one he selected was simple and elegant, a dark fabric that wasn't too flashy. He emerged in a perfectly tailored single-breasted jacket, the clean lines making a quiet statement among the more ostentatious displays. It was a suit to simply be himself in. The final look was him—polished, unassuming, and completely self-possessed.

However, it was evident that the staff members thought his face ruined the suit, and Yibai could hear their whispers when he paid. But he ignored them and left with the gift box.

However, when Yibai walked out of the mall, he found that the driver who was supposed to wait for him had already left. Yichen seemed to see him from the rearview mirror and provocatively waved his hand, making a "goodbye" gesture. Yibai pursed his lips, his eyes cold. It could not be denied that he was a little provoked.

Just then, a Maybach drove past Yibai. The driver hesitated for a moment when he saw Yibai, slowed down to glance at the omega boy on the side of the road, and then looked at the rearview mirror to ask, "Sir, do you need..."

"Go." Li Mùchén in the back seat didn't even lift his eyelids and ordered the driver to drive.

"Yes, sir." The driver dared not say more and stepped on the accelerator to leave. He thought Li Mùchén had helped the boy out because he knew him, but it turned out he was overthinking.

Yibai didn't look up until the car drove away, but that didn't stop him from hearing the conversation between the driver and Li Mùchén clearly. Yibai shrugged and didn't think about why his attitude suddenly changed. There was no relationship between him and Li Mùchén; they just happened to meet each other by chance. Once he returned the dagger, they would be two parallel lines that would never intersect again.

But... Yibai looked at the Maybach gradually disappearing into the traffic, his eyebrows slightly furrowed. Should he find Li Mùchén as an ally and deal with Li Wei Zhi together? Lost in thought, Yibai hailed a taxi.

On the other side, Su Yichen was the first to return home, crying and recounting his experience of the day. Mu Xinyan rubbed her temples in frustration. The plan was for Su Yichen to tamper with Yibai's clothes, but the failure of that plan was one thing, and now Yibai had ended up with Jiang Mùyáng's store.

"Useless!" Mu Xinyan cursed under her breath. "That store cannot fall into his hands!"

By the time Yibai arrived at the Su Family's home, it was already time to depart. Mu Xinyan greeted him with a smile and asked him to wait in the car with them for the old lady. Yibai could tell from their expressions that the two of them were there for the store. He pretended not to know anything and calmly got into the car.

As soon as he was in, Mu Xinyan intimately held Yibai's hand and asked, "Yichen told me that Jiang Mùyáng gave you the transfer contract for the store?"

"Yes," Yibai nodded calmly.

Mu Xinyan also nodded and said, "Yichen has already told me everything. You accidentally saved Jiang Mùyáng's son, so he gave you the store. But you're young and don't understand how to run a store, so give me the contract for safekeeping. When you're more familiar with City M, I'll give the store back to you. Don't worry, I won't take a penny of your profits."

Yibai looked up and saw Su Yichen sitting in the passenger seat, wearing a smug smile. He couldn't help but smile too.

"Okay," he said, handing the contract over to Mu Xinyan with a casual wave of his hand.

"If they want it so badly, then he'll give it to them. But he's not sure if they have the ability to keep it," Mu Xinyan thought to herself as she looked at the transfer contract in her hand, visibly stunned. This was not what she expected. Was this a trap? Or was the boy really just a pushover?

"I'll help you look after the store for now," Mu Xinyan said with a smile, but she couldn't shake off the feeling of unease. Before Mu Xinyan could figure it out, Su Yichen snatched the contract away with excitement, his eyes seemingly saying, "You have to give me this contract whether you like it or not.".
