Arin's love quarrel has ended. Today he would find out something important from his life.
Students were standing in front of two dungeons; B rank and D rank. Professor Lily was standing there she asked them to choose where they wanted to go.
All nobles chose B rank because they already cleared C rank in previous year. But Arin forced Lara to choose a D rank dungeon.
"what why Master Aren. If we don't go into the B rank dungeon then we will be left behind." Lara said.
Arin sighed. He made emotional statements to manipulate her. He looked towards her. "You know this is my first time being in an academy. And I want to explore everything. I want to enjoy these years. That's why I want to first clear the D rank dungeon."
"Don't worry master Aren. You will enjoy your years." Lara went to the professor and asked her to go into the D rank dungeon.
"(ohh yeh plan successfull.)"
The Professor came near Arin with Lara. "Aren and Lara, if you want to go into the D rank dungeon. You have to wait when I return with whole class. I'll accompany you in D rank dungeon."
Arin said. "Professor, Lara already passed the C rank dungeon. Can't we go alone."
Professor Lily thought for a second. "Fine I'll give you permission but you can't go beyond 10th floor, understand."
Both Aren and Lara agreed on the professor's condition. When they were standing in front of teleporter Dravos mocked them.
"Look at her, the heir of gareth house is choosing D rank dungeon."
All the students were laughing at her. But she didn't respond. They both teleported into the D rank gate.
Arin became angry on her. "Why didn't you reply to them?"
Lara replied calmly. "Why should I? Shouldn't I focus on growing myself then replying to them."
Arin realised that she was right. Then he saw many white mana stones embedded on the walls but there were many black big black stones placed on the ground in rows.
"What are those?" Arin got confused.
"These are used white mana stones. They are here for recharge." Lara explained.
"Hmh why shouldn't they just mine those already recharged stones." Arin touched black stone.
"Black stones are essential because they help to stabilize these dungeons." Lara said.
"How so?"
"White mana stones continuously release mana in dungeons. And that mana creates monsters. And those monsters again release mana. If this cycle continuously occurs. It can blast dungeon doors. If that happens monsters will come outside the dungeon and attack humans."
"(But i don't want to waste my time on slaying those useless monsters. Slaying them won't reduce my debt. Like those thousands of ants. None of them reduced a single debt.)"
"Should we go now, master Aren."
"You can call me only Aren." Arin stood up. He started walking inside the dungeon.
Lara followed him and started walking beside him. "How can I say that? You are older than me. I should call you with respect."
"But I don't like this master word. So stop saying master." He was searching for Katana continuously.
"Then what about big brother."
"Do as you say."
"(Where is that damn sword.)"
"Hey Lara, how deep is this dungeon?"
"This dungeon has 20 floors."
"Hmm then let's go to 20th floor."
"(It should be there.)" He started running.
Lara was following him. "Wait big brother, if the professor finds out we will be punished."
"You mean if she. But who's gonna tell her." He laughed
Lara stopped and screamed. "Stoppppp big brother."
He finally stopped. "What happened."
"It's not how you can reach the 20th floor."
"Then how."
"You should find an exchange platform to teleport to the next floor. Or if you have already reached there you can use aetherglass."
"(What the hell, now where should I find that platform?..... Wait a second.)"
He turned towards Lara. "Lara, you already cleared this dungeon, right."
"Yes I did the previous year."
"Then you will take me to the 20th floor."
"Nooo. I am going to take you there."
"Why?"
"Because the professor said we can only go to the 10th floor."
"But there is no monster to kill."
"You are right but still no." She pouted.
Arin already thought of his next plan. He sighed. "And here I thought if we can clear this dungeon early. We can go to grab some ice-cream. But what should I do now? My little sister don't even listen to his brother." He turned away from her.
Lara's ear flicked when she heard ice cream. "Are you telling the truth, big brother?"
He nodded.
She came close to him. And whispered into his ear. "If you won't gonna tell the professor then we can go."
"I won't. I promise." Arin immediately said.
Lara took out her aetherglass then she teleported both of them to the 20th floor.
When Arin opened his eyes he saw a katana was pierced on the platform and it was fifteen steps up. And there were many monsters' unconscious bodies lying down everywhere. Arin moved on the first step.
"Wait big brother, something is not good here." Lara was looking at monsters.
"What do you mean? Lara." Arin got confused.
"These monsters are only found in A rank dungeon. But why are they here?" Lara became anxious. Arin saw her trembling in fear.
Arin looked upward and there was a hole in the wall. "Lara what is your power."
"I can fly." She replied.
"That will help. You can see that hole right." Arin pointed towards the hole. "Hide in there."
Lara crushed a blue mana stone. Then she flew and hid in that hole. She was seeing Arin from that hole. Arin realised that something was wrong there. So he ordered her to not come outside from that hole.
"Engrave."
Arin's whole body got covered with marks. Arin used his blood and made a net and covered that hole so she won't be harmed. Arin took every essential steps now he was ready to pull out that katana.
That katana was black. Arin finally reached the platform. He looked towards the Lara she was looking at him afraid. Then he pulled out that katana. As soon as he pulled out that katana his previous one shattered into pieces. The new Katana already recognised Arin as his master and it didn't find his old katana worthy to be wielded by him.
Arin then looked around but nothing happened. He looked at Lara and smiled. When she saw Arin's smile she also got relaxed.
Suddenly the black katana started vibrating in Arin's hand. It already unsheathed itself. When it was unsheathing Arin saw its blade. It was crimson red glowing faintly.
It instantly went up to the roof but didn't collide then it went in front of Arin. It was pointing towards Arin. Arin realised that that katana wanted to kill him but his katana was already destroyed.
That katana launched itself towards the Arin. Arin used the Blood defence mega shield. Arin's blood started rotating in front of Arin. But that didn't stop the katana. That katana half pierced into Arin's chest.
"Brotherrrrrrrrrrrrrrr." Lara screamed from that hole but she couldn't come to save him because of those net made for her safety but now it became her prison.
