Chapter 0: Scent Recognizable from a Thousand Miles

The serene hours we baste, I shall remember.

As hungry students fill the halls in a hurry, my gaze is stuck, fully immersed at the astonishing face infront of me.

"Hey, Kendall it's break time we should head out" Stella uttered.

Her words surprised me like a sudden lightning. It has been ten minutes of me staring at this boy and it felt like I was looking deep in the abyss, completely mesmerized.

"On second thought, perhaps I don't want to eat; i'm feeling pretty stuffed still" I replied as an excuse.

I was in my second year of High School and classes the year before were conducted online. It was my first face-to-face interaction with people after ages of being isolated.

This boy standing before me, though completely new to my eyes, is exuding a strong sense of familiarity and hospitality. It were as if I wanted to be friends from the moment I saw him.

"Oh, right I forgot to introduce you to eachother "Stella added. "Kendall, meet Nicholas, we were classmates last year.

"Hello, there! It's nice to meet you" I initiated. "It's nice meeting you too" he replied.

I was a foot away from him yet I still get a whiff of the delicate scent he carries. He smells absolutely delightful--- like a cloud so dreamy it provides you comfort.
