Chapter 56 - Chapter 56: The Two Great Sect Leaders of Haotian Sect Come Demanding a Student?

Neuvillette left the teaching building and made his way toward the faculty dormitories.

Since the two buildings were located at the far east and west ends of Shrek Academy, he would have to pass by the main gate.

He strode past the towering statues at the gate, their surfaces gleaming in the sunlight, and lifted his head, taking in their imposing presence. One hand was clasped behind his back, the other lightly resting on his cane.

He couldn't help but feel a twinge of nostalgia.

What sparks might have been ignited if he had traveled back ten thousand years?

Tang Shenwang would never have had the chance to become a god under his hands.

What a pity… he had arrived too late.

"What are you thinking about?"

A crisp female voice echoed in his mind.

"Heh, nothing really, just reflecting a bit," Neuvillette replied with a faint smile and shook his head. Then, curious, he asked, "By the way, weren't you asleep? How did you wake up?"

"Ha~ woke up, bored with nothing to do," replied the Ice Emperor, yawning.

"The human world really is more interesting than the Extreme North. In our Extreme North, all we do is eat and sleep. Is this what you humans call 'slacking off'?"

"Heh, something like that," Neuvillette answered, not bothering to explain. To him, "slacking off" was a constant reminder from his previous life as a transmigrator. In that world, eating and sleeping incessantly was considered being lazy—or, from another perspective, useless.

He nodded slightly. Most soul beasts don't even get the luxury of eating and sleeping; most are being eaten. Only the three supreme rulers of the Extreme North could afford such a carefree existence.

"Are you worried about becoming a god?" the Ice Emperor comforted him. "Honestly, given your talent, there's no need to fret. Worry too much and it will backfire. As long as you grow normally, with Tianmeng and me, your chances of ascending to godhood are still very high."

Neuvillette was silent for a moment, then nodded slightly. No explanation was necessary. As for the so-called godhood in the future, he wasn't particularly interested.

After all, his trump card was the authority of the Water Dragon—the Perfect Dragon.

Regarding any "divine throne," not to mention whether it was suitable, even Water God or Ice God ranks would be low and still subject to Tang Shenwang's rule…

"Huh?"

Suddenly, the Ice Emperor's voice shifted strangely in his mind.

"There seems to be a very peculiar aura over there… It's not from anyone in Shrek Academy."

"Hmm, let's check it out."

Neuvillette's expression remained calm as he shifted toward the academy's main gate. On the way, he would also observe what these two millennia-old soul beasts, who had assumed human form, were doing.

Before he reached the gate, a rough voice boomed:

"What's the meaning of this? If I want to enter and see someone, do I still need to register? Call your academy principal out here!"

Neuvillette looked ahead.

At the gate registration desk, a burly figure had grabbed a man who appeared to be a teacher by the collar, spittle flying, face twisted in frustration.

Beside him stood another man, slightly smaller in build but still a large man by ordinary standards, arms crossed and looking hesitant, as if weighing his words carefully.

"Second Sect Leader, this is your private family matter of the Haotian Sect. We weren't supposed to get involved, but if you plan to enter Shrek Academy, you'll need approval from its top administrators. Otherwise, wouldn't the academy descend into chaos?"

The teacher, held by the collar, shrank under the imposing figure, nervously smiling.

"Please be generous, sir. We really can't decide this!"

"Then can't you at least notify someone? If we don't enter, go find help!" Titan shouted anxiously.

"We've already tried," the teacher said, almost in tears. "We sent people to check. His dorm was empty; apparently, he moved out last semester. For now, we can't locate him…"

"You—!"

Titan's thick brows furrowed sharply.

"Enough!"

The Azure Bull Python sighed lightly.

At that moment, the teachers of Shrek Academy secretly relaxed, thinking it was over. It seemed this Sect Leader was reasonable.

But the Azure Bull Python glanced at the teacher, his expression darkening.

"Apologies, this is an internal matter of our sect, and it shouldn't concern you."

"It's fine, it's fine…" the middle-aged teacher hurriedly waved his hands.

"But for Dong'er's safety, we must immediately enter the academy, locate him, and ensure his safety."

Middle-aged teacher: "…"

Huh?

"I will personally give Shrek Academy an explanation afterward. Forgive any offense caused."

In the next moment, a crushing force descended from above, and the teacher broke out in a cold sweat.

"You…"

"Let's go!"

The Azure Bull Python gestured, and behind him, Titan the giant ape's face shone with excitement. "I said we should go in directly. What's more important—the rules of Shrek Academy or Dong'er's life?"

"I think we shouldn't have let Dong'er come to Shrek Academy in the first place…"

Ignoring the astonished gazes of those around, the two lightly propelled themselves into the sky, leaving deep grooves in the marble floor below.

"Quick! Notify the academy!"

The teacher, trapped under the oppressive gravity, gritted his teeth and shouted to the students around him.

"Someone's intruding!"

The surrounding Shrek students immediately realized the urgency and prepared to rush inside.

But the next instant, two figures crashed from the sky, leaving deep gouges in the hard marble.

The sudden scene froze everyone in place.

The middle-aged teacher's mouth twitched.

Had his words been overheard? He had exaggerated—it wasn't really an invasion. But for the matter to warrant this level of response… it was intense.

The two intruders ignored him, their eyes fixed on the sky, expressions gradually hardening.

"Big brother!" Titan, the giant ape, looked to the Azure Bull Python, silently asking.

"Not yet, might be Shrek Academy's leadership," the bull python replied. His soul power radiated violently; the previous strike disrupted his aura.

Even though he had intentionally held back his strength, it was far beyond what an ordinary Super Douluo could do.

As expected of Shrek Academy—truly a den of hidden dragons and crouching tigers.

"Which elder is here? Could you come out? We do not intend to intrude; this is an urgent matter…"

"Not intending to intrude… hehe."

A calm voice came from the sky.

Neuvillette appeared calmly, in stark contrast to the two, who looked utterly stunned.

"The ones just now… were you?"

The Azure Bull Python could hardly believe his eyes, staring at Neuvillette's young and handsome face, feeling utterly disbelieving.
