Chapter 37 - Chapter 37: Aus: Divine Departure!!!

Whoosh whoosh whoosh...

Cold wind mixed with pouring rain.

In the wrecked battlefield, that proud figure just standing there made every Marine too scared to move.

Just one power-up that sank the ground a hundred meters. Monster Vice Admiral Sakazuki getting his ass kicked in the collision. That terrifying flowing Armament Haki and Conqueror's coating.

That invincible aura might've been invisible, but it crushed every Marine's heart like a weight. Even Kuzan and Borsalino weren't immune.

Kuzan stared blankly at the man he'd been obsessing over catching day and night.

This guy could totally rely on his insane Observation Haki and Devil Fruit to toy with them all, but instead he was giving them a shot at direct combat.

Yet nobody dared claim they could win. Not one person dared say they could stay standing against those black-red iron fists.

Even Sakazuki with the strongest attack power couldn't do it.

As for sneak attacks...

Against those eyes that could see the future, that shit was pure fantasy.

A moment later—

"Cough cough cough..."

Blood-coughing echoed across the field. From inside the massive crater, a figure in a red suit swayed to his feet, blood still dripping from his mouth.

The mad dog himself.

Gotta hand it to him—this bastard was tough as nails.

But from his pained expression and the blood on his lips, that punch had fucked him up good. He was definitely still hurting.

With Sakazuki back on his feet, the crushing atmosphere among the Marines flipped instantly.

This was their Red Admiral.

"Hey!!! What the hell are you all hesitating for!?"

"No matter how strong the enemy, we're Marines! Guardians of these seas! We give everything we've got!!!"

"Even if we die, so what!!!"

Seeing his comrades losing hope, Sakazuki's face twisted ugly as he roared loud enough to shatter eardrums.

This made plenty of Marine officers who'd lost their fighting spirit grit their teeth and raise their weapons again.

At the same time, bone-chilling cold and blinding light erupted across the battlefield. Everyone went all-out simultaneously.

Watching these future Marine powerhouses fired up like some movie scene, Aus couldn't help raising an eyebrow.

For a second there, he thought he was about to dominate the whole damn field.

But it wasn't that simple.

The world was packed with heroes. Aus might shine brightest, but he sure as hell couldn't dim everyone else's light.

In Marine Headquarters with zero cowards, there really wasn't a single weakling!

Looking at all these warriors in Marine capes, Aus showed proper respect for battle, flashing that excited grin with red light dancing in his eyes.

He slowly peeled off his windcoat, revealing muscles packed with explosive power. A few scars decorated them, but not many.

From childhood on, being born with monster-level Observation Haki meant he rarely got hurt.

Two-colored Haki wrapped around Nether Crow in his hand.

One fist, one blade.

This group of Marines deserved his absolute best.

Then he slowly raised his left thumb up. From far away it looked like a thumbs-up.

He scanned through the Marines, finally locking onto that curly-haired guy he loved picking on.

"Here I come."

"What?"

Kuzan himself was building up icy power in his body. Seeing that gesture confused him for a moment.

Turns out when someone aims their thumb at you, they're not necessarily giving you props.

They might be targeting you.

From Kuzan's perspective, those red eyes staring him down from a hundred meters away were suddenly right in his face, still staring him down.

Only now the hand motion had changed. That long blade crackling with black-red lightning slashed down faster than lightning.

"This speed!!!"

"You gotta be shitting me!?"

As Aus's blade fell, terrifying sword energy mixed with Conqueror's coating slammed straight into Kuzan's frozen body. This slash was too fast, too sudden!

Even Kuzan, who went elemental in an instant, still got a bright red gash across his chest before quickly freezing it to stop the bleeding.

Aus wanted to follow up with another slash, but his Observation Haki caught a laser beam heading straight for his skull.

He didn't try tanking it—just dodged sideways.

Then spun around at the waist, looking back to slice apart the incoming magma with one strike.

This wasn't like that big clash with Sakazuki anymore. The Marines were running coordinated gang attacks.

Without future scenes constantly flashing in his eyes, Aus would've been buried under nonstop combos ages ago.

But with Future Sight and the Warp-Warp Fruit's power, being invincible was guaranteed!

Dodging and weaving, teleporting away from glaciers spreading under his feet.

Aus stayed completely calm in the Marine officers' siege. With monster strength and Haki backing him, anyone who got close was getting one-shotted.

He charged through recklessly, spinning back to clash with the suddenly appearing Ame-no-Murakumo sword, teleporting to dodge Meigo while simultaneously throwing another punch at Sakazuki's chest.

With occasional gaps between Future Sight and his body keeping up, wounds started appearing on Aus too.

It hurt like hell, but this feeling of his strength growing made him obsessed. These flesh-and-blood exchanges were addictive!

Those crimson-glowing pupils kept scanning everyone present.

"You wanna dance too?"

Even as burns, cuts, and frostbite kept piling up on Aus's body, Marine numbers were dropping fast.

Not everyone was a tank, after all. Most young officers lost all fighting ability after eating one of his hits, just like that Gallet guy earlier.

Gradually, only four figures kept fighting on the battlefield.

"Yasakani no Magatama!!!"

Aus's form kept teleporting, red light flashing in his eyes as his mind tracked every light bullet's path, dodging them all perfectly.

But when he teleported to one gap position, the ground under his feet felt slick as ice, with cold air creeping up.

"Using light beam gaps to force me into set positions, then freezing me? Smart tactics."

Aus looked calmly at his frozen right foot, red light flickering in his eyes.

Obviously, he'd already seen this future.

But that was wide-area attacks for you—dodge the freeze, eat the light bullets. Looking at those Marine casualties on the ground hit by stray beams, Aus knew they were fighting with everything they had.

Right as Aus got caught in ice, another charged magma giant fist rocketed straight at his face.

Only this time it wasn't alone.

A blinding light beam and massive ice bird radiating bone-chilling cold joined the party.

Facing three ultimate moves, Aus didn't panic at all. That faint smile on his face just got deeper.

"Interesting. Guess I'll get serious too..."

The Conqueror's Haki in his hand kept contracting, then slowly covered Nether Crow's entire blade.

"Better catch this move!"

"Divine Departure!!!"
