In the conference office at the top floor several executives were seated all awaiting the arrival of the new CEO.
The room was filled with low whispers and chatting as some discussed the recent incident that happened in the morning while others sat quietly not bothering to join the conversation.
Olsen shaw the executive director of the marketing department,he was of average hight a round build and short hairs that were scarce on his head.
He had slanted eyes that were covered with reading glasses making him look sinister and cunning, he quietly stood up with an air of authority and addressed the room
"please silence" he said and immediately the meeting room fell silent
With everyones attention on him , feeling satisfied he continued.
"we all know the reason for this gathering, and we are all expected to warmly welcome the new CEO..." he paused
"the recent matter In the morning with our new CEO and the secretary,I must say has left me a little disappointed I didn't expect the first thing our CEO to do was to exact authority but as I have said we must all do our best to be very welcoming of our new leader"
After speaking his eyes scanned the room of audience gaugeing their reaction and as expected he saw scowls and disapprovals in the faces of some of the executives.
"I can't believe that Mr daveson will pick such a person to be the new CEO"
One of the oldest shareholders in the company complained.
Olsens face lit up with a scheming smirk,he quickly composed himself as he continued to address the room with a hipocritical smile on his face he said
"we shouldn't all jump into conclusions I believe our new CEO isn't all that bad"
He said it so thoughtfullly that one would think he was speaking out uf the goodness of his heart, but that wasn't the case as his objective was simple to dampen everyones impression of the new CEO.
"Mr shaw your to kind, this new CEO is to overbearing and yet you are still speaking up for her" Linda Mr Olsens secretary said.
her face scrunched up in displeasure as she continued
"I say mr Olsen was the best candidate to take over as the new CEO he has worked for this company all his life and now some new person has swooped in and taken it this is unfair".
Half of the people in the office we convinced by what Linda said while the others kept a neutral stance planning to see where this situation will lead to.
Linda with her round face powdered with heavy makeup lifted her chin proudly seeing as most of the company shareholders were already looking convinced.
She looked at mr Olsen with eager eyes lie a puppy waiting to receive a pat on the head for a job well done.
Olsen was extremely pleased thinking to himself.
'its just a matter of time till I kick this newbie out I worked so hard to get to the top I won't fail now'
Thinking this his eyes reveled a sinister glow as he continued to plot his next move completely ignoring the heated gaze of his secretary beside him .
