Chapter 2 - Blazing Dawn Of Heroes [ 2 ]

The Next Moment... Hell Erupted.

From the heart of a rift,a black fissure hanging in the sky like a scar from a nightmare, came a roar that rattled glass across Neo-Seraphis.

Suddenly, hundreds of red eyes blinked open within the swirling void, and then the beasts poured out, hulking, jagged creatures made of shadow and bone.

Their claws scraped against concrete with a screech that could make your ears bleed.

Jaws snapped, teeth glistening with an ooze that hissed as it hit the ground. The first void beast slammed into a car, flipping it like a toy. More followed, an unstoppable wave of malice crashing onto the screaming streets.

And amidst this chaos, three figures emerged.

---

The first to strike was none other than the Infernal Queen.

Her eyes glowed molten hot, distorting the air around her like heat waves on asphalt. She raised her hand, and it felt as if the city itself flinched in anticipation. With a voice sharp enough to cut through screams, she roared,

"Burn."

A column of fire erupted from her palm, thick as a tree trunk, splitting into dozens of searing projectiles.

Flames howled as they tore through the front line of void beasts; black flesh sizzled and bone cracked before they even got close to the skin.

Without hesitation, she clenched her fists into burning gauntlets and kicked off the ground, her flames roaring from her boots like rocket boosters.

In an instant, she was airborne,a blazing comet streaking through dark skies.

When she landed, the ground fractured beneath her weight; flames exploded outward in a shockwave.

Void beasts screeched as they were caught in her inferno, reduced to molten heaps before they could even comprehend their fate.

"Pathetic," she spat casually while wiping soot from her cheek with the back of her hand. "If this is all you've got, I'm disappointed."

Her personality radiated through every move, feral and unyielding. She didn't protect civilians with shields or barriers; instead, she annihilated threats before they reached them.

To her mind, mercy was weakness, and destruction? That was salvation.

---

But beside her fiery storm moved another light, the Radiant Saint.

She stepped into battle like a dancer taking center stage. White energy shimmered from her hands as it swirled into shape, solidifying into a spear of pure light that gleamed like starlight.

And then… she vanished!

*No... She was simply too fast for the eye to follow.Civilians could only catch fleeting glimpses of white light darting across the battlefield.

The beasts let out horrifying screams, their heads tumbling from their bodies before they even realized they'd been struck down.

The Radiant Saint reappeared a dozen paces away, her spear dripping with black blood, though the glow quickly purified it into steam.

Every movement she made was deliberate, elegant, and controlled. While the Infernal Queen blazed like a wildfire, the Radiant Saint shone with an air of restraint.

She wasted no strikes; chaos wasn't her style. Instead, she pierced hearts, cut necks, and snapped spines, with surgical precision.

"Stay behind me," she instructed a nearby cluster of civilians in a calm, almost serene voice. And just like that, she vanished again, a flash of white and a whisper of death among the beasts.

---

Iron Titan was not to be outdone by the two of them

Although Iron Titan moved slower than his counterparts, but each step sent tremors through the ground beneath him.

His body rippled as bands of steel crawled over his arms and chest, transforming him into a living suit of armor that shifted like liquid iron.

When a void beast lunged at him from the side, he simply lifted his arm and let its claws rake against his steel skin before closing his fist.

The beast crumpled like paper; bones snapped like twigs under his might. He hurled it into another beast with such force that both shattered upon impact.

Then he bent his knees and spread his palms against the pavement.

"Rise."

With a deafening screech, metal twisted beneath the street as lamp posts, car doors, and even sewer grates melted into spikes.

In an instant, a forest of steel erupted from below, skewering void beasts mid-charge as they wailed in agony, pinned in place like grotesque trophies.

He exhaled heavily; sweat gleamed on his metallic skin. "Not one step further," he muttered.

Unlike the Infernal Queen's fiery chaos or the Radiant Saint's graceful strikes, Iron Titan fought like an unyielding fortress, immovable and relentless in defense. Where she burned bright and pierced swiftly, he stood firm against all odds.

---

Above them buzzed drones with flashing red lights; cameras recorded every moment of this epic battle live for viewers across Neo-Seraphis to witness on massive digital screens throughout the district.

News anchors shouted through split screens narrating every twist and turn amidst the carnage unfolding below.

"Three heroes have engaged in combat against the rift outbreak in District Seven!" one voice boomed excitedly. "Infernal Queen! Iron Titan! And,is that Radiant Saint? This coverage is unbelievable! People"

Down in the streets, the civilians watched with wide, terrified eyes. Some huddled behind overturned cars, while others peered cautiously from shattered windows.

The air buzzed with their anxious whispers, each voice carrying the raw truth of the chaos unfolding before them.

"Whoa! Look at her go! Infernal Queen is torching them all!"

"Yeah, but she's only D-Rank. Can she keep this up? She's burning through energy way too fast!"

"You don't get it, man. That's just her style, full offense and no brakes!"

"And check out the glowing girl, she's Radiant Saint! C-Rank! No wonder she looks untouchable."

"Wait, what about Iron Titan? He's D-Rank too, right?"

"Yep! But he's like a freaking wall. Did you see him crush that beast with one hand?"

Their words filled the air,a cocktail of awe, fear, and desperate hope,to these citizens, heroes weren't gods; they were fragile shields standing between them and annihilation.

---

Suddenly, from the rift in reality, more beasts surged forth, twice as many… no, three times!

The street transformed into a nightmarish sea of black flesh and glistening fangs. For every creature that fell to our heroes' might, two more clawed their way into existence.

Infernal Queen planted her feet firmly on the ground as flames spiraled around her like majestic wings.

"Keep pouring out, you suckers! I'll burn every last one of you to ash!"

With a fierce battle cry, she launched herself forward again, fire trailing behind her like a comet's tail,as she slammed into the horde and erupted flames in all directions.

Radiant Saint danced through the chaos with sharper grace now; her spear whirled in elegant arcs of white light that cut through the dark mass.

She moved like a phantom among shadows, never lingering but always striking at vital points with deadly precision.

Iron Titan dug his heels into the pavement and erected barriers of steel between alleyways, sealing escape routes while guiding beasts toward himself.

"Stay close to me!" he barked at a group of terrified civilians trapped nearby; his voice boomed from behind his iron mask. "This sector is secure!"

The people clung to his walls of iron for safety, trembling yet protected,as they watched in awe while his fists shattered anything that dared breach his defense.

-------

Above them all, drone cameras zoomed in on the carnage unfolding below.

Viewers across Neo-Seraphis gasped collectively as Infernal Queen soared into the sky, flames streaming from her boots as she dove headlong into a crowd of twenty beasts.

"She's reckless!" shouted one anchor, eyes wide with disbelief.

"That's the D-Rank Infernal Queen, infamous for her chaotic combat style! But can she really hold her ground against such overwhelming numbers?"

"Check out Radiant Saint!" another anchor exclaimed, excitement bubbling in their voice.

"A C-Rank hero and the shining star of the Dawn Registry! Her spear is cutting through those void spawns like butter, what a truly radiant guardian!"

"And let's not forget Iron Titan," chimed in a calmer voice, bringing a sense of balance to the chaos.

"He's proving that defense is just as crucial as offense. Without his protective walls, countless civilians would have faced disaster by now."

As the city watched in awe, the world held its breath.
