Chapter 3 - Chapter 3: An Unexpected Encounter

Aron found a sense of peace amidst the rows of vegetables and herbs at the Riverton University community garden. It was a welcome escape from the pressures of his studies and the unsettling nature of his recurring dream. He was carefully weeding around a row of tomato plants when he noticed an elderly woman watching him from the edge of the garden.

She was small and frail, with a face etched with wrinkles that spoke of a life well-lived. Her eyes, however, were bright and piercing, filled with an otherworldly wisdom that made Aron feel slightly uneasy.

"You have a kind heart, young man," she said, her voice raspy but gentle, like the rustling of autumn leaves. "And a burden you do not yet understand."

Aron, surprised by her sudden appearance and her cryptic words, paused in his work. He straightened up, wiping his brow with the back of his hand. "I'm sorry, I don't understand," he replied, a hint of confusion in his voice. "Are you talking about the weeds? I'm trying to get them under control."

The woman smiled, a knowing glint in her eyes. "The dream," she said, her gaze unwavering. "The darkness you see… it is real. And it is coming closer."

Aron's heart skipped a beat. A chill ran down his spine. How could she possibly know about his dream? He hadn't told anyone about the details, only vaguely mentioning it to Maya and Jake. He couldn't imagine them sharing something so personal with a stranger.

He took a step back, a sense of unease washing over him. "Who are you?" he asked, his voice barely above a whisper. "How do you know about my dream?"

The woman chuckled softly, a sound like wind chimes in a gentle breeze. "My name is Elara," she said. "And I have been waiting for you, Aron."

She gestured for him to follow her, leading him away from the garden and towards a secluded bench beneath a sprawling oak tree. As they walked, she began to explain, her words carefully chosen and filled with a sense of urgency.

Elara revealed that she was a guardian, a protector of the balance between light and darkness. She had been watching Aron, sensing his potential and his connection to the cosmic forces at play. She explained that she had been drawn to him by the unique energy signature he possessed, a signature that marked him as something special.

"You are not just an ordinary student, Aron," she said, her voice filled with conviction. "You are a Stardust Savior, a descendant of an ancient lineage of protectors. The dream you have been experiencing is not just a figment of your imagination. It is a call to arms, a warning that the darkness is about to engulf our world."

Aron was stunned. He couldn't believe what he was hearing. Stardust Savior? Ancient lineage? It sounded like something out of a fantasy novel, not real life. He felt a surge of disbelief, but also a flicker of something else – a sense of recognition, as if a long-forgotten memory was stirring within him.

"I… I don't know what to say," he stammered, shaking his head in disbelief. "I'm just a student. I study environmental science. I volunteer at the community garden. I don't have any special powers or abilities."

"You have more potential than you realize, Aron," Elara said, her voice gentle but firm. "The Stardust resides within you, waiting to be awakened. It has been dormant for centuries, but it is now time for it to rise again. I am here to guide you, to help you unlock your true potential."

Elara went on to explain that the world he saw in his dream was not just a figment of his imagination, but a real place, a planet called Lumina, located in a distant galaxy. Lumina was a world of immense beauty and power, a world teeming with life and energy. But it was on the brink of destruction, threatened by the same darkness that Aron had seen in his dream.

"Lumina needs your help, Aron," Elara said, her eyes pleading. "And so does our world. The darkness that threatens Lumina will eventually spread to Earth, unless we stop it. The fate of both worlds rests on your shoulders."

Aron was overwhelmed by the information. He felt as if the ground was shifting beneath his feet. He couldn't believe that his ordinary life was about to be turned upside down. But he also felt a sense of purpose, a sense of responsibility that he couldn't ignore. The dream, which had once been a source of anxiety, now seemed to have a clear and urgent meaning.

He looked at Elara, her eyes filled with hope and determination. He knew that he couldn't simply dismiss what she was saying as the ramblings of an old woman. He felt a connection to her, a sense of trust that defied logic.

"What do I have to do?" he asked, his voice trembling slightly but filled with a newfound resolve. "How can I help?"

"The journey will be long and arduous, Aron," Elara said. "But you are not alone. I will guide you, teaching you the ways of the Stardust Saviors. And others will join you along the way, drawn to your light and your courage. Together, we can stop the darkness and save both Lumina and Earth."

With those words, Aron's life was forever changed. He was no longer just an ordinary student, tending to a community garden and worrying about exams. He was a Stardust Savior, destined for a fate he could never have imagined. The weight of the world, or rather, the weight of two worlds, now rested on his young shoulders.
