Once a promising nursing student and newbie financial analyst, Black now spends his days in a dimly lit rented apartment staring at his financial software running mundane transactions for a low-tier bank.

Black, named as a fugitive went into hiding, then along the line, he discovered he was made the sole beneficiary of Arthur's estate, but he couldn't access or claim it.
 Devastated, he receives a sealed envelope containing a key to a safety deposit box and a single, cryptic note.

He finds Arthur's life's work: a set of meticulously handwritten trading journals, filled with complex algorithms, psychological observations, and a high-risk, high-reward strategy Arthur called "The Echo System." Tucked in the final journal is a cashier's check for $10,000.

Driven by a desperate need for redemption, Black plunges into the volatile, 24-hour world of the foreign exchange market using Arthur's system. 


As his life changes, so does a hawk hover around him. A sharp-eyed and ruthless portfolio manager at a competing hedge fund, Victoria Frost, notices the anomalous, profitable trades originating from a single, unknown source. Suspecting a leak or a new prodigy, she begins to dissect his moves, determined to either recruit him or crush him.
