Chapter 150 - Ancient Particle Cannon

The rain of light from the sky crisscrossed into a web of killing and destruction. Any building or life within this web was suffering endless damage, ruin, and death.

On the balcony of a tall building, Loki, dressed in armor and holding the scepter tightly in his hand, watched all this with a smile on his face. With the collapse of the surrounding buildings and the rampage of the Chitauri soldiers, the smile on his face became brighter.

A magnificent beam of energy stood behind him. The activated Rubik's Cube had already begun self-sustaining mode, its energy output increasing with the setting. The vibrations caused slight ripples to appear in the surrounding space. This energy output resulted in the continuous expansion of the sky wormhole.

The materials in that base were obviously sufficient, enough for Dr. Shavig to make this Rubik's Cube Activator according to the highest standards.

Suddenly, fighter planes roared and flew over from a distance, accompanied by a rain of bullets, and bursts of fire exploded among the invaders emerging from the edge of the wormhole.

The rain of bullets is like a curtain, and the beam of light is like a net.

This is a collision of firepower and firepower.

The flames faded, revealing vast swathes of invaders falling from the sky like water, sparks emanating from the sky. The sky was completely empty. But at the same time, even more invading soldiers emerged from the wormhole, filling the empty space in the sky. Their numbers were so great that, while maintaining their density, they could even begin to expand outwards in large numbers.

Military weapons unleashed a deadly barrage of fire from all directions, weaving a net in the hope of annihilating the invaders. However, this proved to be a luxury, as the invaders cared little for casualties. They weren't completely defenseless, however. They would lower their altitude, weaving through the city's buildings like fish, dodging the incoming fire while also making their opponents wary of their own actions.

Then came the counterattack. Those massive metal objects, like swimming fish, some were transport ships carrying soldiers, but others were self-armed destroyers! Dazzling beams of light flashed against the gloomy sky, and then, in the distance, planes exploded into sparks. Under the onslaught of energy beams, the fighters had no chance to dodge.

The military's weapons underground were similarly met with a devastating barrage. The battle between the two sides reached a fever pitch from the outset, but the military's weapons were ineffective against the alien invaders' agile equipment and destructive weaponry. They couldn't even break through the invaders' blockade.

Dazzling lightning, accompanied by three figures, descended from the sky. The invaders surrounding the lightning were covered in sparks of electricity, falling densely from the air like a pile of metal garbage being dumped. In a large crater dug somewhere in the lawn, Thor looked up and locked eyes with Loki, who was on a high-rise balcony. He stood up and roared.

The dazzling electric light spread throughout Thor's body. He bent his knees slightly and flew forward to smash down with a hammer.

"Loki!" Thor roared.

"I'm listening, brother." Loki looked at the Thor's hammer that was so close to him and his brother's angry face without changing his expression, and replied calmly.

Between the two of them was an invisible energy barrier. Thor picked up Mjolnir, which was flashing with violent lightning, and smashed it, but it only created a swaying energy ripple in the center.

boom.

Before Thor could react, a violent energy recoil occurred between the hammer and the energy barrier. Thor flew backwards at a speed faster than when he came, rolled twice on the ground like a stone skipping on the water, and finally crashed into a wall.

Light beams rained down like rain, frantically converging towards the spot where Thor landed. The dense attack completed a high-density sweep in an instant.

"Thor!"

The captain threw his shield out with force. The shield drew a long semicircular arc in the air, clearing a wave of invaders surrounding him. Finally, he grabbed the shield that bounced back and shouted worriedly to Thor who was surrounded by smoke and dust.

"I'm fine." Dazzling lightning fell from the sky again, winding like a giant thunder tree. The split branches pierced all the invaders whose sky was shrouded in lightning, and it looked like it was full of fruits.

The smoke and dust cleared, and Thor, who was holding up Thor's hammer to attract the thunder, took a breath and responded to the captain not far away.

Two ferocious, blood-red hounds suddenly appeared from thin air, tearing at the intruders. Every collision was a terrifying explosion of energy. When the two bloodhounds vanished into thin air, the space around the captain and Thor was empty. Then, from the bodies of the intruders, balls of blood-red energy emerged from the air, gathering like a swallow into the arms of a suddenly appearing blood-red figure.

Frank, who was wrapped in a blood-colored energy suit, felt that his strength and vitality seemed to have increased a little with the influx of the blood-colored light energy.

"This has a bit of a vampire vibe to it." Frank felt it and shook his head. The other party was half biological, half mechanical, and could only offer him limited feedback. However, this enhancement was only temporary. Furthermore, with this energy utilization method, each feedback carried not only strength and vitality, but also a sliver of the other party's consciousness. Without mastering the filtering method, the more feedback received, the more confused the consciousness would become. So, after experiencing this application technique for a while, Frank decided that unless necessary, this mode was best not used, or at least not used.

The three who had infiltrated the area seemed like a lone force surrounded and annihilated, their bodies swarming with invaders. They dovetailed and dove through the rain of light, desperately killing any enemy they could see and reach. They slaughtered a large number of invaders, but it was clear they were no mindless warriors; the intense energy attacks also caused them considerable trouble.

The three of them fought for an unknown amount of time. Though they felt no signs of fatigue, fueled by their own divine powers and energies, no matter how hard they fought, the intruders remained densely packed, even increasing in number. They still felt powerless and outnumbered. Even if they were able to ultimately wipe out the invaders, what good would it do? The enemy could always bring in more, and the damage and casualties they would inflict were already a foregone conclusion. As long as they were kept here, their effectiveness would be infinitely diminished.

"We have to destroy that device! Otherwise, this battle will go on endlessly." Captain Steve took advantage of the gap when the invaders filled the encirclement, looked at the energy beam that shot up into the sky and now had a diameter of nearly 100 meters, and said to Thor and Frank who had gathered together.

"I understand the problem, but how are we going to get through? We're already separated by a huge distance. If we want to get through, we have to break through a thick wall of people." Frank looked at the dense crowd of invaders blocking them from the Rubik's Cube, and the huge mechanical beasts swimming in the air like fish, feeling somewhat helpless. If they rushed towards the Rubik's Cube, they would immediately be met with a dense attack and a wall of people. Those invaders were literally risking their lives to stop their progress.

Suddenly, on the ground below, a golden spark of energy splashed out from the air one meter high, and then rotated to form a portal with a diameter of more than two meters.

Tony Stark, dressed in a black and red Mark battle suit, took the lead and flew out of the portal. Then came a big green man with his head lowered and his waist bent out of the portal. Then came Natasha, Hawkeye Clint and others, each leading an elite agent team of about 20 people. Finally, there was a strange face in a red cloak and Luke Field with two huge metal boxes floating behind him.

"I'm just a doctor." Stephen Strange said timidly as he looked at the invader who seemed to be covering the sky.

"You used to be a mage, but now you're a doctor as a sideline." Luke patted his shoulder. "You need to adapt to this situation and become familiar with combat."

"Is this why you summoned me from the King? I have no desire to be a superhero." Stephen stared at the still-open portal behind him, feeling the urge to step back. The battlefield was simply too horrific. He suspected he'd be killed in the next second by a beam of light emanating from nowhere.

Luke and his group naturally attracted a lot of attention. The invaders immediately separated a group of people and launched a dense beam attack in their direction.

The energy explosion blew away several layers of the ground. When the light rain and smoke and dust dissipated, a huge figure was seen blocking Luke and Master Strange. He stretched out his arms and protected the two men under his body like little chickens. He used his broad green back to withstand all the attacks.

As for Natasha and the others, a colorless energy barrier appeared on their bodies, helping them to block this wave of attacks.

As for Tony Stark, leading the charge, he crossed his arms and stretched them out to the sides. Two red laser beams emanated from his arms. As he spun upward in mid-air, like a gyroscope, the red laser beams sliced waves of invading Chitauri soldiers in half, sometimes even several times. The area around him, up to and including fifty meters, was instantly cleared.

In this wave, he killed at least hundreds of Chitauri soldiers around him.

"Well done, Stark."

The captain and his two companions also rushed over and joined Luke, Natasha and the others. Steve Rogers was pleasantly surprised by the arrival of reinforcements and also by Stark's outburst.

"You don't need to tell me that." Stark fired several palm energy cannons in succession to finish off the fish that had escaped the net just now, and replied with some arrogance under his helmet.

"The commander is coordinating and mobilizing manpower." Natasha briefly explained the situation to the captain.

Loki also saw the people coming from a distance, and ordered the Chitauri soldiers around him to increase the intensity and offensive of the attack to completely disintegrate the opponent's resistance.

"How do you manage to keep Dr. Banner from going crazy and maintaining his composure in this state?" The captain obviously knew the information about Dr. Bruce Banner's Hulk form, and was amazed at his behavior of not distinguishing between friend and foe, and even helping Luke and others act as a shield to block all attacks.

"Let's put aside anything that's not related to the war. They don't seem to want to give us time to talk," Frank said. He had seen that the space cleared by Stark was being filled with more Chitauri soldiers.

courage.

trust.

High fighting spirit.

As his emotions surged, the golden ring on the captain's finger shone even brighter before everyone, a radiance like looking directly into the sun. Threads of golden light emanated from the ring, connecting to Natasha and the others.

Under Natasha and the others' astonished gaze, the mass-produced rings in their hands unexpectedly took on a golden sheen. Simultaneously, their energy suits also stained a pale yellow, changing from colorless. A warmer, more powerful force, unimpeded, seamlessly merged with the energy within their rings, transforming it. Natasha felt her own strength at least tripled with this surge of power.

The crisscrossing beams of light shot down again like rain.

Natasha and the others easily erected golden energy shields, combining them to form a wall of light, blocking the attack. Captain Steve's ring still connected Natasha and the others with golden threads, transmitting energy to them.

"Think of a solution quickly! What are hidden in these two large metal boxes that you must bring? If it is a trump card, it's time to reveal it and show it." Stephen looked around. The sky and the ground were densely packed with enemies that were constantly approaching. He swiped his palms, and two Lagogador Rings appeared in his two hands. He was leaning against Luke at the moment and shouted at him.

"Unlock the security protocols," Luke said softly.

As his voice fell, the two metal boxes suspended behind him began to vibrate, transforming into tiny, invisible metal fragments before the eyes of the crowd. Then, a second later, these invisibly shards automatically formed into finely detailed components in the air. Under everyone's gaze, in just two or three seconds, the two metal boxes had transformed.

Instead, there were two huge gun barrels emitting halos, constantly absorbing all the surrounding light into the barrels, and metal brackets that were firmly attached to the ground.

"Weapon Template: Ancient Particle Cannon assembled successfully.

Ancient Particle Cannon is charging.

Ancient Particle Cannon fully charged."

"Come and say hello first." Luke turned the gun barrel and aimed it at the two directions of the sky wormhole and the Rubik's Cube, and said softly.

Two violent, huge beams of light surrounded by golden electric light, carrying unparalleled destructive power, swept away all obstacles in their way.

Whether it was the Chitauri soldiers building the human wall of the city or the huge mechanical beasts swimming around, they all seemed fragile and powerless in front of the two violent beams of light and were vulnerable to a single blow.
