Chapter 170 - Dimensional Materials, Laetari's Actions

After everyone's work was divided, they all got busy for the next few days. Even Luke, after Captain America Steve visited Hebron, donated the improved stabilizer, which actually cost around 100 million, as a form of aid. After helping Steve get the initial fire started, Luke retired, leaving everything to Ina and immersing himself in his own laboratory again.

Thanks to the mages' tireless efforts, the main structure of the Dark City had finally been constructed, with the core power room just one step away from completion. According to the Ancient One, while Asgard wasn't pressing them, Odin occasionally inquired about progress. Knowing they were short-staffed, he even generously seconded two dwarven master craftsmen skilled in construction and material handling to come and assist Luke alongside the mages. It was precisely because of the addition of these two dwarven master craftsmen that the project, which was bound to exceed the deadline, showed signs of being successfully completed within it.

Luke is now obsessed with studying a thumb-sized green [ore] produced by the data dimension, which looks like a string of characters.

"White Queen, proceed to the next experiment and input the data of Wakanda's vibranium." Luke ordered, looking at the green [ore] in the glass wall of the experiment.

"The data is ready.

Enter Execute. "

The tip of a robotic arm hung from the ceiling, like a syringe-like instrument, slowly lowered under Bai Hou's control. The sharp, needle-like front end of the robotic arm gently pierced into the green [ore].

The seemingly hard green [ore] was like jelly, easily pierced through the surface. Then, about three seconds later, the robotic arm lifted itself up again. The next second, the green [ore] changed.

Under Bai Hou's full monitoring and recording, and Luke's intent witness, the green [ore] was changing into another form. Soon, this change reached its peak and then stabilized.

"Congratulations, you have obtained an initial piece of vibranium." Bai Hou's congratulations rang out again.

"Let's do the vibranium test," Luke said.

Several steel plates rose before his eyes, providing ample protection while also obscuring his vision. The White Queen meticulously followed Luke's instructions, placing the newly formed vibranium on the testing table.

The entire testing process lasted three minutes and eleven seconds. When the steel plate slid away, revealing the lab bench inside, White Queen had already collected all the data Luke wanted.

"What are the comparison results?" Luke asked.

"The comparison data is consistent." Bai Hou gave the answer and projected the test data onto a virtual screen in front of Luke.

"Transfer all the data into the data dimension through the Cosmic Cube interface." Luke instructed as he scrolled through the test report on the screen. As he left, he pointed at the [ore] that had turned into vibranium and said, "Also, extract the data and put it into a zero reset state."

"Mode switched

Extract execution."

The mechanical arm on the ceiling dropped down again, with its front end pressing against the surface of the vibranium. Then, three seconds later, the previously indestructible vibranium state returned to its original green [ore] state at a speed visible to the naked eye.

Luke sighed as he watched the robotic arm, once again suspended in the air and then retracted into the ceiling under Bai Hou's control. While it might seem like just a robotic arm, its cost had already reached over $700 million. If you factor in the entire technical system Luke had customized for it, its value was inestimable.

And that doesn't even include the 0.5mm-diameter metal bead at its tip. It was debris from the Cosmic Cube. After Luke expanded the Cosmic Cube into a data dimension, he compiled a data conversion program based on these specially removed debris. These debris, combined with Luke's conversion program, significantly reduced Luke's experimental costs in the early stages of the experiment.

This green [ore], obtained from the data dimension, was first condensed and formed under the operation of this system. It also demonstrates the unique convenience and replicability of data. To date, Luke has experimented with it on all the materials that Heberon possesses. Simply input the corresponding material and ore data into this green [ore], and it will be able to convert it into the corresponding material with 100% certainty. This applies not only to technological materials, but also to other dimensional materials that Luke possesses, which can be converted and replicated after testing.

This new-dimensional material, named "Data/Chip Metal" by Luke, is the dream material of all researchers. Unfortunately, its real-world production rate is too low. Bringing it from the data dimension to the real world requires extremely high energy consumption.

So, for the time being, this material isn't one that can be used on a large scale without restrictions. But there are alternatives. Turning around, Luke looked at the strange metal prosthetics placed on the shelves of the cabinets behind him.

These are all mechametals from the mutants. While they may be called mechametals, they possess properties completely different from the metals we understand. They are living. When their host dies, they too slowly "die," rusting, fatigued, aging, and ultimately decaying. This time span may not be short, but their performance is undoubtedly declining moment by moment.

But that doesn't mean it can't be stabilized again.

And Luke has found a way.

After testing and comparison, it was found that the mechanical metal limbs of these mutants possessed certain characteristics of data metal. Or, to put it simply, they were a castrated version of data metal with reduced performance.

The most primitive data metal can be used multiple times, and at least the limit of the number of resets to zero has not been determined yet. It is also impossible, like the original data metal, to switch back and forth in the metal transformation form, or even fuse, according to the user's wishes based on the regulation and division of the internal system when there is sufficient data.

The data metal on these mutants was more like a one-time molding, and it would not easily transform into another metal of secondary data metal. However, in many other places, they still possessed the characteristics of data metal.

For example, the most unique durability and healing properties, as well as self-evolution characteristics!

Once ordinary technological artifacts malfunction or break, they must be repaired to restore their full functionality. However, as long as the durability of data metal does not drop to a dangerous level, items made from it will function perfectly as they did originally. Furthermore, over time, as long as the host remains alive and has a sufficient energy supply, damaged mechanical parts will self-repair, just like wounds in the human body.

Whether it was raw datametal or secondary datametal, Luke could describe it as living metal. It even resembled a different kind of mechanical symbiote, coexisting with its host, providing it with strength and, with its help, developing certain evolutionary enhancements.

It is definitely impossible to lay out the original data metal on a large scale for the time being, but if we grit our teeth, work hard, and spend some time, it is still possible to lay out the secondary data metal for the time being!

What's more, secondary data metals are not without their own advantages. That is, when they are formed for the first time, they will form some special metals with a small probability and irregularly. After analysis and research, these metals can also be added to Haibolun's material technology reserves as new types of metals in the future.

For example, after research and analysis, the mechanical limb materials removed from the psychic mutants were found to contain some metal materials that have excellent effects on mental sensing and amplification. Their magical properties are like they have been enchanted by magic.

There is no doubt that data metals, even of a lower quality, have fascinating and intriguing properties, and it is obvious that they will bring about a technological explosion.

Energy, materials, and currency: Luke and his company, Hebron, have already occupied three key areas of the future.

Luke believed that with Stark and Banner's talents, they would be unable to resist exploring and studying the dimensional world. He expected them to discover and research whatever they could. In the process of research, they would undoubtedly discover the data dimension's specialty metals, but they would also discover that obtaining more of these metals would require supplying more technology and knowledge to the dimensional world.

In the future, more people will join their ranks, and the dimensional world will undoubtedly become the energy source needed by mages.

When scientists are solely responsible for their own technology, freed from the burdens of instruments, laboratories, supercomputers, and funding, the frenzy of pursuit for knowledge and technology will undoubtedly unleash a surge. They will discover that the dimensional world can provide everything they need to verify their technology, requiring only a certain amount of knowledge and technical data. At worst, Luke will allow them to "borrow" future technology.

The silent starry sky.

Outside a primitive planet, there is a rough-looking mothership docked.

"Which planet is this?"

On a high peak on the planet, Letari looked at the natives of the planet carrying huge stones to build a temple on the peak, and asked a female divine mechanic beside him.

The current Divine Mechanic has long since shed its original Chitauri appearance. They have undergone a complete transformation and upgraded their bodies. They now have facial features and delicate expressions.

"The one hundred and twenty-eighth." The female divine mechanizer replied.

"It's not enough. The Lord needs more energy." Letari looked at the temple gradually taking shape in the distance and about to be completed, and said in a cold tone: "We need it too!"

"But Thanos's minions are hot on our trail. The Other, in particular, is like a relentless hyena," the female Divine Mechanic said quietly. Their time hasn't been one of hiding, but it hasn't been easy either. Furthermore, they've had to build emotional temples for Luke on remote, underdeveloped planets with some degree of intelligent life.

Finding such a planet is not difficult. As one of the two major legions under Thanos, the Chitauri themselves already have similar information stored. However, it takes some time to select a planet in a suitable area.

"Ignore that mad dog, the Other, and there's no need to rush to eliminate him. Eliminating him might attract Thanos and his Black Order, which would be detrimental to our plan," Letari replied calmly. "As long as we can complete this project, we'll be safe in this galaxy."

"Can you master that kind of power now?" The female divine mechanizer looked at Letari with her gem-red eyes and asked tentatively.

"Of course, the surging power of the soul and emotions! As vast and majestic as the starry sky." A pale flame blazed from Letari's body. Seeing this flame, the female Divine Mechanic instinctively took two steps back in shock. She had seen how terrifying this pale flame could be!

Once when they were acting separately, the team she and Letari were in was ambushed by the Other with an entire army of Chitauri. If Letari had not unleashed this unexpected power, perhaps only a few of them would have been able to escape from the long-prepared ambush.

The sudden burst of pale flames consumed the Chitauri army. While their bodies remained intact, their minds seemed severely damaged. From that day on, the female Divine Mechanic gained a newfound understanding and desire for the terrifying power of the Letari and the master behind them.

Since Letari can master this powerful force, then as a follower of the Lord, she may also be blessed with the use of this power in the future!

"There is no need to be afraid. As a follower of the Lord, my power will not harm you as long as you are devout enough." Letari has now brainwashed himself into a qualified fanatical charlatan.

The female divine mechanic looked away.

"It's the translator."

A communication line connected to Letari's terminal, and a metallic figure with sharp, angular features appeared before them. The translator was the leader of the Chitauri mothership who had aided Loki in the invasion of Midgard. After his mind was infected and corrected by the data, he joined the God's Guard, founded by Letari.

"A piece of news about Thanos and the Kree." The translator spoke directly.

"Tell me about it." Letari became interested when she heard about Thanos and the Kree.

"They are said to have been secretly searching for something these past few years, and this thing is said to possess incredible power! Doesn't the Lord need to accumulate strength?" The translator told all the information he had.

"Very good. You keep a close eye on one of the parties. If the news is true, Riley and I will bring people to help you as soon as possible. And if it is indeed the energy source that the Lord needs, then I believe the Lord will not be stingy with the reward." Letari ordered.
