Chapter 202 - Dimensional Rainbow Bridge

Rainbow Bridge!

And it must be Luke's Rainbow Bridge!

Asgard is now fighting in full swing with the alliance army of the Dark Elves. The Rainbow Bridge was partially damaged by a surprise attack by the Dark Elves some time ago, and its teleportation function and lethality cannot be exerted in a short period of time.

This caused Asgard, which had previously had an advantage in deploying combat power, to temporarily lose its advantage and become more defensive. Furthermore, their previous strategy of winning victory after victory, gradually shrinking the enemy's space in order to completely annihilate them, was immediately shattered.

Asgard's forces began to decline, while the Dark Elves gained a long-awaited respite and launched a counterattack. Chaos ensued across the Nine Realms. Only Midgard, currently despised and considered the weakest, remained untouched by the flames of war.

If anyone besides Asgard could own the Rainbow Bridge at this moment, it would be Luke. The Sorcerer Supreme said that God-King Odin was planning to negotiate the price of leasing the Rainbow Bridge with Luke and had placed an order for a core component, the High-Dimensional Space Core, needed to build it.

The [High-Dimensional Core] requires the power of the Space Stone. Thousands of years ago, Asgard, which owned the Space Stone, naturally had nothing to worry about. But isn't the Space Stone in Luke's hands now?

In the past, the people of Asgard could not believe that someone could damage the Rainbow Bridge on Asgard's territory! This situation almost meant that Asgard was under a comprehensive and repressive invasion.

The brilliant beam of light slammed heavily onto the ground, but the huge body of the Hive didn't pose any obstacle at all. The Hive seemed to sense some huge threat, and its tentacles retracted one after another. Various elemental forces began to condense on the tentacles, especially its huge body, which began to transform between reality and illusion.

The exploding thunder, earth fire, and strong winds from the swinging tentacles fell onto the energy pillar of the Rainbow Bridge, causing a large number of ripples on the pillar.

However, the pillar still stably covered its huge body.

What made Hive feel even more threatened was that his spatial ability was also greatly affected and restrained. The transition between reality and illusion lasted only two seconds, and his spatial ability seemed to have lost its effect and was completely sealed by the beam of light.

A massive, irresistible suction emanated from within the beam of light, seemingly trying to pull and transport him somewhere. The Hive, whose spatial abilities were sealed, or rather, suppressed and blocked, felt like a fish caught in a hook. Although he struggled mightily to free himself from the hook, he was ultimately locked in too deeply, his opponent's skill superior.

Under everyone's shocked gaze, the hive's huge, swollen body began to leak air, and was slowly absorbed into the interior of the column by the light beam. Finally, a pile of cut tentacles of varying lengths remained on the ground, and its huge body disappeared into the night along with the light beam.

The Mage King breathed a sigh of relief upon seeing this. It seemed Luke was very judicious in his use of the Rainbow Bridge. This time, he was clearly being restrained, keeping the energy output within a safe threshold, and using it solely for teleportation and traction.

The safety threshold is the dividing line that determines whether the Rainbow Bridge is a strategic equipment or a star-destroying weapon used purely for attack.

The biggest trouble was taken away by Luke, and as for the rest, the Mage King took a look at Nick and the others who were shining like fireflies in the dark night, and decisively turned around and drew a portal, so that they could go back the same way they came.

It would be better to leave this kind of cleanup and tidying up to a professional organization like SHIELD.

"What is that?" Pierce looked at the night sky in shock. The afterglow of the brilliant beam of light that was so close to him still lingered in his mind for a long time.

He was eager to know what kind of weapon this was! If Hydra could master weapons of this level, things like the Insight Project's aerospace carrier and super soldier research would be child's play.

"I don't know, it might be a laser weapon." Nick's heart was also filled with shock. The feeling of being immersive and close at hand would shock anyone.

It was natural for such a powerful behemoth to feel shocked when it was taken away by the opponent in one wave without much resistance under the beam of light.

Of course, Nick did not tell Pierce the truth. He thought that the beam of light was most likely a rainbow bridge rather than a lethal laser weapon.

In fact, based on the power Hive had displayed when struggling under the beam of light, Nick suspected that even a real laser weapon wouldn't be able to inflict any fatal damage on that giant body. They weren't on the same life-force level as them!

Pierce was silent for a moment. He instinctively felt that Nick was lying, but looking at the tentacles with neatly charred cuts and the monster's body that seemed to have been vaporized, he could not say anything to question or refute.

"Let's clean up the battlefield first." Nick looked at the still-moving tentacles on the ground and the agents previously parasitized by them, and exhaled deeply. He felt it necessary to take the wounded and go to Luke for another checkup.

Pierce looked at the devastated alien camp and the battlefield littered with wounded soldiers, and nodded.

Laser spears were hurled from the surviving elite agents who still had some fighting power, pinning each giant insect with its transformed tentacles to the ground before vaporizing them with high temperatures. The battlefield was methodically cleared.

Nick wasn't sure if these tentacles were still dangerous, but after seeing the giant monster, he was happy to nip any danger in the bud.

Looking at the disheveled Black Bolt and his companions approaching, Nick lamented inwardly, "Another bunch of trouble that isn't really a problem! Should he take the initiative and put the blame on them before they can even start a fight?"

The hive's massive form appeared on an empty platform. The rainbow bridge device hanging from the dome was retracted.

He looked rather miserable now. His huge body looked as if it had been tortured by slow slicing, with almost no intact skin left. The dense seaweed-like tentacles were broken off at the roots, with potholes and holes like the wounds revealed by a cut tumor.

But under the bright green light, his wounds were healing visibly, and the broken tentacles began to grow.

"I thought you would pretend to be dying and look around."

Luke's voice came from all directions and was transmitted into the hive's sound receiving organs.

"Are you the owner of this place?"

Beehive looked at the three-dimensional projection of a young man printed by laser not far ahead. While observing the area he was in, he activated his ability to sense the surrounding life forms.

"Your life form is quite interesting." Luke looked at Hive's enormous form, which could inspire extreme fear at a glance. He tilted his head slightly, and instead of answering Hive's question, he spoke to himself with a smile. Although the two of them were roughly the size of a bug and an elephant, it looked like the stronger party was keeping a vigilant eye on the weaker party.

"What do you mean?" The Hive, who was abducted here, was stunned when he heard Luke's words.

"I mean, can I study you?" Luke said, unabashedly expressing his thoughts. He hadn't felt it before, but the closer he observed and felt the life forms within the hive, the more he felt a sense of surprise. If nothing unexpected happened, this was a treasure trove!

The other party may not only be the crystallization of the Kree's past technology, but also have some unknown and deeply hidden secrets.

"Insect!"

Luke's words seemed to have struck a sensitive nerve within the hive, sending a surging shockwave reverberating in all directions. Luke's projection, buffeted by the tangible spiritual energy, flickered a few times, as if contact was poor, but quickly adjusted and regained stability.

"What a shame. But I didn't expect you to be so obedient. Like many of the materials lying on my lab bench, let's go through the process first."

Luke's projection said, clapping his hands.

As a projection, he certainly wouldn't make any sound, but not far from the platform made of unknown material, a mechanical lift started up under Luke's control.

Buzz!

A pleasant metallic humming sound was heard, and a huge metal dragon, as big as a beehive, flapped its two huge metal wings and flew out from the lift under the platform.

It has a fuselage made of unknown metal, and its two huge wings have a wingspan of about thirty meters. Its two huge and strong metal hind legs are heavily stepped on the ground, and the two claws hidden under the metal wings are flashing with a terrifying sharp light.

This is a giant metal dragon that looks like a giant lizard in Western mythology, but its head is not a dragon head of a living creature, but a metal mouth like a nozzle.

Nemegate, Iron Will – Luke Field Edition.

The original version was a mechanical dragon based on the powerful apostle Bakar from the game world. Luke didn't have a Bakar apostle to study, but fortunately, this universe was not without similar substitutes.

Luke now creates these mechanical creatures, even giving them the same names and the same abilities, mostly out of some kind of memory and psychological remembrance.

"Have fun." Luke's projection took two steps back.

Buzz!

The surging energy core in Nemegt's chest began to operate at full power. The nozzle where the dragon head was located was like a black hole, swallowing up all the light around it. Finally, the swallowed light was transformed by the instrument and turned into a crystal beam of light, which directly hit the hive.

The hive's massive body was instantly pierced, leaving a hideous bloody hole. Strangely, no blood or internal organs appeared. A swarm of tiny insects frantically filled the gap from other parts of the hive. In just a moment, the wound, over four meters in diameter, was completely healed. The hive also launched its own attack.

Two red rays shot out from his eyes and fell directly on the steel dragon. However, facing the light attack of the hive, Nemegate seemed to be unaware of it. He stood in place and took the attack of the hive.

The machine roars!

Once again, a crimson beam of light gushed from the nozzle. But this time, Hive was prepared, erecting a wall of energy before him, blocking the crimson beam. He had intended to use his spatial ability to dodge, but it was still blocked. Some force was frantically strengthening the surrounding space, restraining its power.

"Simple energy attacks are useless. Nemegate has a mechanism that absorbs energy attacks and rebounds them twice as fast. Your energy attacks can only fill it with more energy, and it will use the force to return it to you." Luke kindly reminded from the side.

Unconvinced, Beehive unleashed other powers, including Thunder, Heat, Wind Blade, and Freeze. However, just as Luke had warned, the Iron Dragon absorbed and deflected his attacks one by one. The battle between the two continued like a turn-based system, back and forth.

Luke was very satisfied with this somewhat rigid battle. For him, victory or failure in the battle was not the most important thing. Instead, he wanted the Hive to demonstrate more capabilities and strength as much as possible so that his data collection could be more accurate and complete.

Hive used a variety of superpowers, but none of them could defeat Nemegate. Just as Hive was trying to decide what to use next, Nemegate suddenly flapped his wings and defied gravity to fly. For Nemegate, wings or no wings didn't matter, but the wings were packed with a lot of equipment.

The end of its huge and slender metal tail began to undergo metal transformation in mid-air with a crackling sound, and a high-speed rotating drill made a buzzing metallic noise.

Faced with Nemegt's active attack, Hive wanted to dodge, but the opponent's speed was too fast. The huge and heavy metal body seemed to be non-existent. It crossed a distance of dozens of meters in an instant and appeared next to Hive. The rotating drill tail hit Hive's body, and almost at the moment of contact it shattered the energy shield, and drilled deeply into the opponent's body, directly drilling a deep hole in the ground.

Beehive's inner alarm bells were ringing. He didn't care about the physical damage, but he was sensitively aware that there seemed to be a dangerous source under him that was so violent that it was about to explode. He now felt like he was sitting on the crater of a volcano that was about to erupt.

The next moment, a deep lava pool appeared under him, and a column of white flames erupted from the lava pool, enveloping him completely.

Hellfire Hot Springs!
