Chapter 208 - Negotiation, Alliance, Loki [Part 1]

"It seems that you are under a lot of pressure." Looking at the order handed over by Thor, Luke put it down after just one glance and looked at Thor in surprise.

Nick, standing nearby, was somewhat puzzled. After taking Odin's order with Luke's permission and examining it, his breathing became heavier. Again, the knowledge and insights he'd gained from Luke and the Mage King had already extended his horizons beyond the Atrium. He knew most of the materials in the Nine Realms and some of the resources in the Hell Dimension in great detail. He was certainly familiar with some of the famous, rare, and most suitable materials.

After reviewing the order, he understood why Luke had simply glanced at it and didn't need to read any further. He could feel his heart pounding in his chest, blood coursing rapidly through his veins, causing his body temperature to rise. His skin tone was darker, so the changes in his complexion due to excitement were less noticeable.

Nick felt that the balance in his heart had completely begun to tilt under the weight of this order.

Ulu God Gold!

The mineral deposits of the Nine Realms.

Asgard's knowledge and technology.

A secret manufacturing process passed down by the dwarves.

And so on and so forth.

Even with Nick's discerning eye, he couldn't find a single flaw in the order. The sincerity of the God King, Odin, was fully demonstrated in this order. He was simply troubled by the excessive sincerity of the order, which made him jealous.

"What kind of help does God King Odin need from me?" Luke asked directly. Since the other party had shown sincerity, he naturally had to express his sincerity as well.

"We need a new [Higher Dimensional Space Core Device] to restore the Rainbow Bridge." Thor and his father knew that the Space Stone had become a living being, and that borrowing it would be difficult. So, instead of mentioning the Space Stone, Odin indirectly ordered a [Higher Dimensional Space Core Device]. With this device, Asgard's Rainbow Bridge would be restored to its original state.

"No problem," Luke nodded decisively, agreeing immediately. He'd already mentally prepared for this, just waiting for Thor to ask. "I have a backup [High-Dimensional Space Core Device]. While it's not quite compatible with Asgard's Rainbow Bridge, the technology is similar. After some modifications, I can sell it to you. You can use it first."

"That's great!" Thor was pleasantly surprised, both by Luke's straightforwardness and by the fact that he had a spare. He wasn't surprised by the need for modifications. Even with his mind full of battle brawn and fresh experience, he knew the Bifrost would require constant maintenance and adjustments.

"But before the Rainbow Bridge is restored, we would like to borrow your Rainbow Bridge. Of course, we have to pay for it." Thor said this with mixed feelings. He never thought that as a prince of Asgard, he would have to pay others to use the Rainbow Bridge one day!

"I'll grant Asgard temporary access," Luke said cheerfully. "When Asgard's Rainbow Bridge is restored, the temporary access will be revoked."

He didn't say it was free to use or anything like that. After all, using the Rainbow Bridge once consumed a considerable amount of energy, although it was a drop in the bucket for him right now.

Thor was touched by Luke's straightforwardness, and it also relaxed his anxious heart a lot. He continued, "We need your technical support. I know you have the Mind Ring and the technology to build powerful machines, but we are currently lacking manpower and combat power."

Luke glanced at Nick, who was standing beside him. Nick didn't react immediately to Luke's gaze, but the next second, he understood and took the initiative to speak: "S.H.I.E.L.D. can provide a large number of elite agents, um, those wearing mind rings. At the same time, S.H.I.E.L.D. will also mobilize resources from around the world to supply Hyperion with enough war machines."

"I think your bald head is a little more pleasing to the eye now, Nick." Thor said something very touching, which made Nick Fury blush. Fortunately, his face was dark enough that no one could see it.

"You need to pay." Nick said seriously.

"I recently came up with a new technology, and I think it can solve some of your current predicaments." Luke suddenly said.

"What technology?" X2.

Luke's words drew sharp glances from Thor and Nick. Luke didn't hold back, projecting the subspecies information of the Brud Zerg along with the data dimension.

"Midgard was recently invaded again by an alien from a remote planet named Hive. I obtained some special genes from his body." Luke began to speak excitedly.

"Is this a biological weapon?" Nick frowned as he looked at the Blud subspecies, which looked like it was not easy to mess with.

"You can think so. After all, they are born hunters." Luke answered and released some more information.

"Is this possible?" Thor blinked. "It's not that I don't trust your technology, but this mode of warfare has been eliminated by us for thousands of years. Aside from the humans in Midgard, the beings in the other nine realms are not very interested in biological weapons and viruses."

"You can try it, like using one or two captives. The stronger the host they parasitize, the stronger their mature form will be." Luke said casually, "I'd also like to know the maximum life span these insect eggs can parasitize."

Thor also carefully reviewed the information about the so-called subspecies. He admitted that this biological weapon had some deterrent power, but he doubted its effectiveness. At least for now, Thor believed that the only way to achieve this was through sheer force. But since Luke had said so, he didn't mind bringing it back to show his father.

"Can weapons of mass destruction be used?" Nick asked.

"Unless absolutely necessary, avoid using anti-planetary weapons or highly polluting weapons. This will disrupt the energy balance of the Nine Realms and negatively impact the World Tree." Thor shook his head. Then, he looked at Luke. "Finally, we need a batch of powerful equipment. We know you're crafting equipment for Mephisto's demons, and we need it too. Malekith has captured the dwarven kingdom and enslaved a large number of them, making it impossible for Asgard to replace and maintain a large amount of equipment.

I know you're very skilled in similar equipment manufacturing techniques. If there are any manufacturing difficulties, you could provide the technology and manpower to help repair the equipment. We can send someone over to provide guidance."
