Two figures were rushing through the dense forest towards the direction of their lost teammates .
Kaito tried to connect many times but every time the signal isn't connecting . It means that either they are at a place where the signal doesn't reach from the sattelites which is , of course , impossible and the next possibility is that their watches were either destroyed or lost connection from the host .
They both ran hard as Kaito was in front of Seina . Even though both are SS-Rank Awakeners but Kaito is a swordsman whereas Seina is a mage . Their bodies are trained differently and have different capabilities . The bodies of swordsman contain less mana , more aura and strong physique . The bodies of mages contain more mana , no aura and their stamina and mana regeneration is greater .
Although Kaito is a swordsman but his body has both mana and aura because he is a magic swordsman . His body has strong physique and also great stamina and mana regeneration . His body was in short , perfect for both magic and sword .
The both of them were running for almost 20 minutes but didn't reach the last location as given by the tracker . They once thought to take their car but it would be too late and they decided to run . Their current location was 2 km away from their last location .
They reached their after 5 more minutes as they found something they didn't expect . Kaito saw that their watches were lying on the ground as they were broken . Those broken watches were lying but their was no trace of any fight or damage . There wasn't even blood on the ground .
"Kaito , what do you think caused this ?"
"Don't know"
"I might have an idea"
"Hmm.…?"
"Do you know about the Corrupted Humans ?"
"Corrupted Humans , huh ? Yes , I know"
"My grandfather is currently investigating the matter about the recent sightings of them"
"Where were they last sighted ?"
"Near Lunar City inside the Starlit Forest"
"Inside the Demon Territory ?"
"Not exactly . Here , take a look"
Seina took out a device from her back pocket as she handed it to Kaito . He tapped in the center as a holographic screen popped up . It displayed an area map of the region covering both the Lunar City and The Demon Territory . The place where Seina pointed her hands was near neither to the Lunar City nor the Demon Territory . It was more like a mid point between the two places .
Kaito zoomed the place as he noticed that there weren't less dots but more than 50 red spots .
"These dots represent the number of Corrupted Humans"
"These humans are divided into different buildings"
"Correct , each of these buildings is a branch of the Corrupted Human Organization"
"Did your grandfather investigate these places ?"
"He did send many people but these bases were mostly empty by the time they reached"
"This data here in the graph is atleast a week old , am I correct ?"
"You are . These people change their locations from time to time to avoid being discovered"

Kaito returned the device to Seina as he took out a new device which he was carrying . He turned it on as their current location was being displayed . The map here was bigger than the one in the watches as it covers a greater area . Kaito inserted some new informations inside the map as he integrated the map given by Seina and modified it in the same manner .
His actions were complicated but precise . Seina who is considered a genius when it comes to computers was now staring in daze at the work Kaito was doing . After the awakening of mana in the world , the technological advancements in the world has gone up by rocket speed . Many concepts and theories which were just imaginary came into reality after experimenting with mana .
Another field which had development in today's world is Artificial Intelligence . The most advanced artificial intelligence were used in today's world to develop the database of different base cities . Each base city has its own artificial intelligence which stores the information of that particular base city in its database . These all database are then directly connected to the main artificial intelligence in the Stellar City .
Kaito completed his works as new information popped up on his map . Many dots appeared at a distance of 5 kms from them . There were atleast 50 red dots surrounding 3 blue dots in the center . Seina looked towards the map and couldn't help but ask .
"What are these Kaito ?"
"I made them according to the design in your map . The blue dots are our friends while the red dots are the corrupted humans"
"Amazing . You really are a genius"
"Says who ?"
"Shut up !"
Kaito and Seina started running towards the location .

They reached the place as they took cover on the trees . The place ahead was the location they got . This was an open space which consisted of some huts and mud houses . The place was clear as if it was cleared off by cutting the trees . Kaito and Seina both opened their blindfolds as their vision expanded .
They spotted both the corrupted humans and their friends . The three of them weren't scared but they do have a face of anxiety and worry . Kaito decided to wait before taking action . The corrupted humans had large big type bodies . They were all pretty ugly and their beastial instincts were stronger . Each one was equal to a peak A-Rank Awakener .
These corrupted humans do not use mana like normal Awakeners . They use Demonic Miasma for their strengthening and attacks . The corrupted humans also have types like the Awakeners . Some use swords , some use spears , some use bows and some are even mages .
They were dancing around the three humans . These corrupted humans were not only non humans but they were more like a beast . That is the reason why they target women weaker than them who they can devour easily . These corrupted humans brought Akane and Kaori for this purpose as well but they also had to bring Kendo along because he can bring reinforcements if left unattended .
Kaito stood up on the branch as Seina was looking towards the corrupted humans . He raised his hand as ice started to conjure above his palm . Within 5 seconds , a huge spear of ice formed over his hand .
4-Star(Ice Magic) - Ice Spear
The spear launched from his hand and divided into multiple small spears which came down like rain on the dancing corrupted humans .
They were struck by the ice rain as their faces turned red with rage and more ugly . Kaito looked at Seina as he said
"It's time for some fun"
As he jumped down from the trees towards them .
