"Bzzzz—!!"
The buzzing of insects grew louder as a figure hovered mid-air, its thin, translucent wings vibrating at high speed. From behind a large tree emerged a wasp-like Pokémon, wielding twin silver lances—its crimson eyes locked onto Ai Xia and his Caterpie.
Beedrill.
Aside from Spearow, this thing was every rookie trainer's nightmare in the wild...
An aggressive, hive-minded Pokémon.
In some ways, Beedrill was even more dangerous than Spearow.
After all, when it came to sheer numbers, Spearow and Fearow couldn't hold a candle to Bug-types like Beedrill.
Swarming numbers, rapid growth, early evolution—the hallmarks of Bug Pokémon were dialed up to the extreme in this species. Every year, countless Weedle were born in the forests, quickly evolving into Kakuna before transforming into the deadly Beedrill.
When this species moved as one, their swarm could literally blot out the sky... For rookie trainers, they were the kind of threat you did not mess with.
"Mii!"
Caterpie's reaction to the Beedrill was immediate.
The rivalry between Caterpie and Weedle was like that of Pidgey and Spearow—just the sight of this Beedrill triggered Caterpie's disgust, and hostility flared up on instinct.
"Tackle!"
Ai Xia's command was swift.
A faint glow flickered around Caterpie's body as it launched itself like a sharpened arrow, crossing ten meters in an instant before slamming mercilessly into the Beedrill's slender waist.
"Bam!"
The live audience only saw a green blur flash past—the Beedrill, which had been glaring menacingly at Ai Xia and Caterpie just moments ago, was now sent crashing into a distant tree, knocked out cold.
"Bzzzz—!!"
From the dense foliage nearby, several more Beedrill emerged, charging at Ai Xia in a fury.
"String Shot, then Electroweb."
Ai Xia's orders were calm and concise.
Caterpie twisted its body and spat out sticky silk, instantly entangling the charging Beedrill. Its surprisingly strong frame held them in place, preventing the lance-wielding pests from advancing any closer.
"Zzzzt—!!"
A second later, golden electricity surged through the silk threads, coursing through the trapped Beedrill in an instant. Just like with the Spearow from before, the shock dealt serious damage—within seconds, the aggressive bugs were left smoking on the ground.
"Same as Spearow, I strongly recommend keeping your distance if you ever run into Beedrill without the strength to handle them. Otherwise, you might end up with an entire swarm on your tail."
Once he confirmed all the enemies were down, Ai Xia turned to the drone and offered his advice.
"Generally, against enemies like these, you want to strike first and take them out fast. Against group fighters like Beedrill, wide-range AoE moves are your best bet... Since Caterpie's movepool is limited, I rely on String Shot and Electroweb combos to simulate that effect."
Then, his smile turned a little odd. "But the grinding efficiency right now is still too low..."
Right in front of his viewers, Ai Xia whispered something to Caterpie before quietly slipping away in the direction the Beedrill had come from, vanishing from the camera's view.
Caterpie didn't follow.
Instead, under the drone's watchful lens, it began spraying silk threads across the surrounding trees and leaves, weaving a massive web like some oversized spider.
The live audience was baffled.
Ai Xia had pulled a disappearing act—without his Pokémon, no less. In the wild, that was basically suicide.
What the hell was he planning?
Confusion grew as time passed, until the screen was flooded with comments.
[Where'd Ai Xia go?]
[Did he just go pick a fight with a Beedrill nest?]
[Bruh, that's next-level suicide.]
[He's only got one Pokémon—how's he pulling this off?]
Even veteran trainers like Red, Green, and Misty, who were tuning in, couldn't help but frown.
Misty: "What's happening?"
Red: "..."
Single-Stan Hu Tao: "This guy's got a death wish. He said he wanted a 'big scene'—did he actually go provoke a Beedrill hive?"
Champion Green: "This is..."
The group chat of well-known trainers was abuzz with speculation.
Five minutes later, Caterpie's web was complete.
Silk threads draped over the trees in a fifty-meter radius, forming an inescapable net. Caterpie sat at the center, several thicker strands coiled around its body.
"Bzzzz—!!"
At the same time, the drone picked up the distant hum of wings.
"Bzzzz—!!"
The noise grew louder, closer—until finally, Ai Xia's sprinting figure reappeared on-screen... and the viewers stiffened.
Because behind him?
A hundred pissed-off Beedrill in hot pursuit.
"Mii!"
Seeing Ai Xia and the swarm, Caterpie tensed up.
Ai Xia suddenly sped up, leaving the Beedrill in the dust as he dashed straight into Caterpie's trap.
"Now—Electroweb, full power!"
"Mii!"
In an instant—golden light erupted.
"Zzzzt—zzzt—zzzt—!!"
The fastest Beedrill slammed into the electrified threads, unable to stop in time.
The ones behind tried to retreat—but the web of lightning detached from the silk, surging forward like a living net, ensnaring the entire swarm.
Not a single Beedrill escaped.
"Hm?"
Ai Xia, still catching his breath, suddenly noticed movement in the nearby grass.
"Hsss—!"
A purple streak shot out, lunging at him.
Reacting instantly, Ai Xia halted mid-step and—before the shadow could reach him—slammed a fist into the back of its neck.
"Hssk!"
In that moment, the spirit of Super Hisuian Brawler lived within him...
The purple figure stiffened mid-air before dropping limply to the ground—an Ekans, writhing in pain.
"Mii!"
Caterpie, realizing its mistake, quickly followed up with a Tackle straight to the Ekans' weak spot, finishing it off.
At the same time, the last of the Beedrill collapsed under Caterpie's Electroweb.
Not a single one remained.
"Whew~"
Ai Xia exhaled, stepping back to stand beside Caterpie.
"Mii..."
Caterpie drooped, clearly guilty for missing the hidden Ekans and nearly getting Ai Xia hurt.
If only I knew more than Tackle... Imagine just blasting the whole nest with a Hurricane like Rayquaza's moveset.
"Hey."
Ai Xia patted it reassuringly, promising to do better next time, before turning back to the drone.
"If you wanna grind efficiently, wide-range AoE is the way to go!"
"That's why I use String Shot + Electroweb. Since I don't have a second Pokémon, I had to lure them in. But don't try this at home—always use a high-speed Pokémon for bait unless you wanna get wrecked before reaching your attacker's range."
The viewers were stunned.
A flood of gifts exploded across the stream—even Red tossed a Master Ball.
Caterpie's Electroweb was impressive, but Ai Xia—charging through the wild, leading a swarm of Beedrill, then decking an Ekans bare-handed?
That was the real spectacle.
Now, the audience was looking at him differently...
You're the trainer, not the Pokémon.
[That Electroweb was terrifying.]
[Nah, the trainer is the scary part.]
[Actual chills.]
[Of course the guy raising a monster has monster strength too…]
[Is this Dayan martial arts?]
[Is Ai Xia even human? Or just a Fighting-type in disguise?]
[Oh no, if this clip spreads, other regions are gonna think all Dayan trainers know kung fu.]
[This is unreal…]
