It has been six months since Kushina arrived in Konoha and became Kyuubi's Jinchuriki. And it has also been six months since she and Kyuubi sealed within her had any conversation.
Kushina has almost forgotten that she is Kyuubi's Jinchuriki.
Till now, she has been treated as an outsider in the village. And there is a weak looking boy with yellow hair who has been following her around while she beats up anyone and everyone who makes fun of her red hair.
Kurama on the other hand, has been seeing and hearing everything through Kushina's eyes and ears. Mainly her learning about seals and basic jutsus.
The OG Kurama had disdain for jutsus that went against his father's ninshu creed, so he didn't bother learning anything.
'Even that Tanuki has learnt some Wind Style Ninjutsu.'
Kurama sighed in disappointment.
Even though he is learning, he can't really practice anything due to his chakra being suppressed.
He can try to force his way, but that will only tighten the chains and more surveillance. The number of ANBU has decreased from 10 to 5 right now because of no outbursts.
Anyway, today, Third Hokage visited Kushina. His face grim.
"Kushina...I am sorry."
"Huh? What are you apologising? What happened!?"
"The Uzumaki clan has been destroyed by Kumo, Iwa and Kiri."
"WHAT!?"
Kushina suddenly remembered her first talk with Kyuubi.
He has told her that her clan will be destroyed.
"What was Konoha doing!? Aren't we supposed to be allies!?"
"We tried everything we could. But by the time we arrived, the three villages have already destroyed the Uzumaki clan.
They were acting like a ninja war might disrupt between the three villages for a long time, so we had to decrease our ninjas in that area.
But they suddenly united, and jointly launched an attack on the Uzumaki clan.
Our ninjas stationed close to Uzumaki clan were also killed, leading to delay in information reaching us."
"Then we must take revenge!"
Hiruzen put his hands on Kushina's shoulders.
"Kushina, at times like these, we must remain calm. First, we should gather any survivors. My students are leading the search and rescue operation."
Tears started coming out of Kushina's eyes, and she started crying loudly.
Hiruzen tried to calm her down, and put her in bed, and then left the Senju estate, where Kushina was living.
After being sufficiently away, Hiruzen sighed in relief. Despite Kushina's emotional state, Kyuubi's chakra didn't leak out. Perhaps she is an even better jinchuriki than Mito-sama.
He increased the ANBU surveillance on Kushina for a while, and went back to the Hokage Office.

As Kushina fell asleep after crying for a long time, she was pulled into the mindscape for the first time in six months.
"Stupid brat."
Kurama muttered loudly and then ignored her.
Kushina came closer to his cage, and after hesitating for a bit, loosened her chains binding him. The stakes through his gut and tails still remained, because Kushina didn't know how to remove the seal.
"I am sorry for not listening to you..."
"If you are really sorry, remove this thing from my gut and tails."
"Umm, I don't know how..."
"Then stop being lazy and start learning fuinjutsu instead of beating up fodders. Go to that Hokage and ask for some solid type of clone jutsu."
"...Okay... so... how did you know that my clan will be annihilated? Did Konoha really betray Uzumaki clan?"
"You know, there is a saying that you can convince a smart person through logic, but you can't come to any agreement with a stupidly stupid person."
"Hey! I am not stupid!"
"Every stupid person believes that."
"Ugh! Just tell me what you know!"
"Why should I?"
"I will release the seal as long as you promise to not create chaos or try to escape from my body. That will kill me."
Kurama was surprised. She really wasn't lying.
"I don't think you are smart enough to learn fuinjutsu to be able to release the seal."
He said with disdain. Afterall, he has been suffering for six months by now! If he wasn't hating Kushina for not even loosing the chains which she could have done all along, he would be scared thinking that constant torture has made him stupid.
"Ugh! I said I am not stupid! I can already make paper bombs! I will learn how to unlock this seal in a flash!"
"...Well, what do you think Konoha will do to you next?"
"Umm, I will be graduating from Academy this year... though I don't think they will allow me to leave the village much."
Kushina is aware of the Uzumaki shaped massive seal, outside which containing Kyuubi will become much more difficult. And she can easily sense all her ANBU guards as well.
Even when she becomes a ninja, she likely won't get many missions outside the village.
She thought hard about Kyuubi's question, but couldn't come up with any other answer.
So Kurama answered for her.
"When I was inside that Mito bitch, she said some nonsense about filling your heart with love. I bet they will try something like that so you forget about your clan and integrate into the village."
Afterall, there is no way Kumo ninjas will be able to enter Konoha and kidnap one of the most important person in the village, only to walk without a care instead of running, and not even knocking the target out, and letting her walk.
And no matter how much of a genius Minato is, he won't be able to defeat three-four Jonins as a Genin or Chunin so easily.
Minato most likely didn't know anything, but it was an obvious set-up by Third Hokage. Just like Naruto stealing the Forbidden Scroll.
Saying his thing, Kurama kicked out Kushina from the mental space, and sighed.
'Atleast the chains are loose now.'
Though he still had a stump going through his gut and tails, not having the chains binding him brought a sense of relief.
This seal is really nasty.
He closed his eyes and went back to sleep. Well, he has gotten used to the pain by now. And though he doesn't need to sleep, there isn't really anything to do.
