Chapter 22 - Jin Intervenes

Mikey lay in a hospital bed, his broken arm in a cast, bruises still marking his face and torso. The sterile smell of disinfectant filled the room, but it couldn't mask the heavy weight in his chest.

He had tried. He had fought Kang with everything he had learned, and he had still failed.

I couldn't stop him…

The faint sound of footsteps echoed down the hallway. Then, the door swung open. Mikey's eyes widened as Jin stepped inside, his presence immediately filling the room with a chilling, almost terrifying aura.

"Kang has been causing trouble again," Jin said calmly, his gaze cold and piercing. "He needs to be stopped."

Mikey's fists clenched despite the cast. "Jin… please… you have to… stop him…"

Jin nodded once, then left without another word. Mikey's heart pounded. He didn't have to see the fight to know that when Jin confronted Kang, it would be merciless, precise, and final.

[The Confrontation]

Outside the hospital, in an abandoned gym near the school, Kang was waiting, smug and confident. He had heard Jin was coming, and he thought he could intimidate him the way he did everyone else.

"Finally decided to show up, huh?" Kang sneered, bouncing lightly on his feet. "Let's see if you're as good as they say."

Jin didn't respond. He stepped forward, eyes locked on Kang, and the air seemed to tighten around them.

The first strike came from Kang—fast, brutal Muay Thai knees and elbows aimed to end the fight quickly. But Jin moved with terrifying precision, slipping, blocking, and countering.

A spinning elbow aimed at Jin's head was dodged with inhuman speed, followed by a devastating uppercut that sent Kang staggering.

Kang tried a knee to Jin's midsection, but Jin twisted his body and delivered a sharp, precise hook to Kang's ribs, forcing him back.

Each of Jin's strikes landed with brutal efficiency, designed to incapacitate rather than maim unnecessarily, yet they left Kang winded, shaken, and off balance.

[Jin's Domination]

Kang, the once terrifying bully, began to falter. His confidence cracked under Jin's relentless, calculated assault.

Jin's speed was unmatched—Kang couldn't land a single clean strike.

Every counter attack from Jin was perfectly timed, exploiting Kang's overextensions and leaving him vulnerable.

Within moments, Kang was battered, bruised, and gasping for breath.

Jin stepped back, chest rising and falling, and looked down at Kang.

"Learn this lesson well," Jin said coldly. "Strength isn't just raw power. It's control, precision, and awareness. Step out of line again, and you won't get lucky next time."

Kang collapsed to the floor, humiliated and defeated. His smirk was gone, replaced by shock and fear.

[Mikey's Perspective]

From his hospital bed, Mikey watched through the window as Jin dominated Kang. His chest heaved, not just from relief but from inspiration.

So this… this is the level I have to reach, Mikey thought, eyes burning with renewed determination. I won't fail like this again. I'll train harder. I'll get stronger. And one day… I'll surpass him. I'll surpass Jin.

The fight was over. Kang had been beaten. But for Mikey, a new journey had begun—one that would take him beyond fear, beyond limits, and into a world of real strength.
