Chapter 59 - Shadows Strike (Battle Engaged)

Nightshade's True Form

The innocent girl's facade melted away. Shadows coiled around her as Nightshade's aura flared, a cold, lethal energy radiating from every movement.

Blitz, Grave, and Vex sprang into action, perfectly synchronized, using Nightshade's commands and illusions to control the battlefield.

Nightshade smirked from above:"Did you really think I'd play nice? Let's see how long you last."

Chaos Unleashed

Blitz vaulted between rooftops, striking with impossible speed. Mikey had to anticipate every jump to protect civilians, forcing him to push Phantom Tempest to its limits.

Grave tore through barricades, crushing everything in his path. Mikey landed heavy punches but realized brute strength alone couldn't stop him.

Vex deployed drones and traps, isolating pockets of the city and forcing Jin to juggle combat and strategy.

The illusions created by Nightshade's Shadow Mirage made enemies appear everywhere, forcing Mikey and Jin to split attention, testing both their reflexes and teamwork.

Mikey's Strategy

Mikey realized that attacking blindly wouldn't work. He began using Phantom Tempest to track residual energy from the illusions, identifying which attacks were real.

Focusing on precise strikes, he shielded civilians first, then targeted Blitz and Grave when openings appeared.

Mikey gritted his teeth:"No more letting her manipulate us!"

Jin's Counter

Jin used Mirror Flow + Copy skill to replicate Blitz's acrobatics and anticipate Vex's traps.

He coordinated with Mikey, feinting attacks to force Nightshade and her clones into predictable patterns.

Together, they managed to push back the initial wave, but Nightshade was watching every move, learning from them, and adapting instantly.

Cliffhanger

Nightshade's clones surrounded Mikey and Jin, obscuring the real Nightshade.

A shadowed voice echoed:

"You're strong… but this is only the beginning. Phase Two of my plan starts now."

Mikey and Jin exchanged a glance, battered but resolute. They knew: the real battle had just begun, and Nightshade's true capabilities were still hidden.
