Chapter 2 - a blind date with Sarutobi clan

After asking the system a few more questions, I didn't get any useful answers, but I completely realized the simple logic.

As I guessed, if I don't complete the template missions, the system will punish me in a way that it thinks will help me.

Probably what the system means by this is something like removing my little brother if a woman template comes in and I don't do the template mission.

So it's dangerous!

Other than that, the other thing I learned is that the easiest way to avoid getting a mission is to raise the template similarity before the mission comes.

My ultimate challenge now is to force myself to think like trader rekt.

How can I make more money?

How can I stab people in the heart with my words?

After thinking about it for a short while, putting myself in his shoes as I remember, I had to make the decision to downsize my store. The products that sell the most and make the most profit are the ones I import from outside the fire country, but I expanded my store so that I could sell products for the daily needs of Konoha ninja and make my store look better.

Trader rekt probably didn't care how his store looked. Money must be the most important thing to him.

"From Trader Rekt's point of view, this must be a pretty big waste of money, right?"

"Hmm, that's a big yes, I guess."

After taking a look at the shop, I've decided to restore it to its former small size. In the meantime, I'll donate the products I won't sell anymore to the orphanage.

"What? What else am I gonna do with these?"

Is there a problem if I donate them to the orphanage? I can sell it to the orphanage for at least half the price.

There's no way I can sell it at full price. How am I going to face people if it comes out? Besides, I was there for a short period of time.

Sighing deeply, I stood up and walked to the door of the store to put my plans into action. The first thing I saw when I walked out the door was the third hokage waiting for me and little Naruto holding his hand.

Since most people were still in bed at this time of the morning, the sarutobi must have brought them to my store to shop with peace of mind. It's not good that this event, which happens almost twice a year, happened on this day.

Of course, as much as I was unhappy with the situation, there was nothing I could do about it. Gritting my teeth and smiling, I opened the door of the store again and invited the fake grandson-grandfather duo into my store.

And it wasn't long before the problem I was waiting for arrived. The speed of intelligence in this village is truly frightening.

"I heard from Anbu that you fired all your employees, Eren? Is there a problem?"

Sarutobi Hiruzen asked me as he habitually made his way to the dairy aisle, grabbing something for Naruto to eat and putting it in his basket.

"As you know, I turned 22 this year, and I've been in business almost since I was a kid"

"Hokage-jiji, let's get some ramen. Eren's instant ramen is the best!"

"Hahaha. Of course we will, but remember that I will only pay for half of what you buy. If you try to buy everything, you won't be able to afford it. If you want to be a good ninja you have to know how to spend your money Naruto"

Hiruzen was about to continue talking when he realized that Naruto had already disappeared and was not listening to what he was saying as usual.

Pretending not to be annoyed, he took a pipe out of his pocket, lit it and ignored the no smoking sign on the wall of the shop, then turned to me and told me to keep talking.

Unfortunately, in the excitement of having just acquired the system, I had made a big mistake and had already fired all my employees without any explanation to give him. All I can do now is rely on my improvisational skills.

"As I said, I've already turned 22 this year and I've had such a full life that I haven't had any time for fun in the past years. That's why I decided to follow a piece of advice I recently received from one of the village elders. I am going to focus on earning more money over the next period of time and once I have saved some money I will fulfill my dream of traveling the world. I am also a person who believes in true love and I hope to meet the love of my life during this trip."

As soon as the words in the last sentence left my mouth, I realized that I didn't need to say them, but it was too late. Before I could correct my words, Sarutobi Hiruzen, who had his eyes on my business acumen and money, appeared in front of me with shining eyes.

"You made a very good decision. As luck would have it, I have a niece who is exactly the same age as you. When you finish your work this evening, come to my place and I will introduce you two."

Without giving me a chance to speak again, the old fox turned around and disappeared into the aisles.

On the bright side, he forgot to question me further about firing the workers and downsizing my store. But now I have a blind date.

I quietly resigned myself to my fate and waited at the checkout for the two to finish their shopping.

One of the butterfly effects I have left on this world is probably the hokage and Naruto shopping right now. This double shopping event would never have happened if the Hokage hadn't seen Naruto waiting at the door of my store to shop when he came to chat with me early one morning.

I don't know why Sarutobi Hiruzen stopped by so early in the morning, but Naruto always came early. Because I told him to come early.

Even though the village government had told me that Kushina's child had also died in the Kyubi rebellion, I knew the truth, but I pretended I didn't know anything so as not to draw attention to myself.

As if that wasn't enough, I earned Sarutobi Hiruzen's admiration by not showing any hatred towards Naruto, as if I was a good person and could forgive even the demon who was responsible for the death of Kushina, my only relative. I was also able to help Naruto buy quality food at cheap prices without caring what the villagers thought of me, as long as Naruto came to the door early.

Of course, despite this, I never had any extra dialog with Naruto, as to change his personality would have been like putting my fate on the gambling table. So all I've ever done is help him grow up healthier.

Even if I don't mention it, something had to change since the system came into being.

-------------------------------------

[Template mission 2: The golden rule of trading: 1000% is the ideal profit level. When selling at least once, increase your profit level to 1000%. Tip from Trader Rekt: Big profit, needs big balls!]

[Task duration: 24 hours]

What!

Damn Rekt! In case you haven't noticed, this is the center of the biggest and darkest ninja village. If someone discovers I have such a high profit margin, won't they rip my head off? First of all, I'd have to spend a few nights in the Uchiha clan outpost.

I wish it was 100%. Damn it!

I was about to curse the system even more when I had a brilliant idea.

I had brought in some tobacco that I had never offered for sale before because I was hesitant to sell it because I didn't like the quality.

These tobaccos came from the most remote region ever. After talking to a traveler from the volcano country, I learned that the most famous product there was tobacco, made from the sulfur plant that grows in the volcano ashes. The traveler bragged so much about their tobacco that my mission to get the tobacco alone cost me 500,000 ryo.

Since the land of volcanoes was almost on the other side of the world, the ninjas who went would not be able to serve for long. So even though the mission was not dangerous, it was very costly and almost no one wanted to do it.

So I talked to the Hokage and gave it to Might Guy. He was only 16 years old this year, and even though he had passed the chunin exam, there were not many ninja working with him because he only used taijutsu.

What I got for all this effort was a black and bitter tobacco.

I made some attempts to utilize the tobacco, such as giving it a chocolate flavor, but they were all unsuccessful. So the rest of this tobacco sat dormant in the back warehouse.

I grinned involuntarily as I looked at Hokage-sama, Konoha's biggest tobacco addict.

*Spitting*

------------------------------------------------------------------------

After ten minutes of shopping, Sarutobi and Naruto came to the checkout , smiling and holding their purchases in their hands.

Although under normal circumstances I wouldn't take the initiative to ask the Hokage for money, this time it was different.

Since the person I was impersonating was a paranoid money-grubber, I opened my mouth after coughing twice.

"You didn't forget to bring your ching ching, did ya? You know guys, this is a business, no ching ching no stuff."

Sarutobi Hiruzen looked at me puzzled and then put the things in his hand on the cash register.

"You seem to be in quite a hurry to save money."

Pretending to be embarrassed, I scratched the back of my red hair, messed it up and spoke with a smile.

"Yes, sir, I mean what I say. The village has been at war for a long time and even though the war is over, my business has never stopped. That's why I'm determined to save some money and take a real vacation. I want at least something to change. I'm even going to hire some people at the first opportunity to bring our store up to the same size as the other stores."

Naruto was the first to react as Sarutobi Hiruzen squinted at me.

"WHAT? Oh wait, this isn't going to change anything is it? There's nowhere to shop in the village except here. For some reason the ramen I buy at other stores doesn't taste good."

It's probably because they sell you expired products Naruto.

"Unfortunately, I'm going to remove all my products that can be found in other stores, like ramen, from the shelves."

Sarutobi Hiruzen must have decided what he was going to say because he put out the pipe in his mouth as Naruto made a face like a scream painting.

"Naruto, I have something to talk with Eren. Can you go first?"

"But Hokage-jiji Ramens!"

"This is my order as Hokage to the little ninja, Naruto. You go first and I will visit again later."

Naruto was immediately fooled when he heard himself being addressed as the little ninja and left the store with a smile.

"Sate, have you decided to leave the village?"

The mood immediately changed when Hiruzen began to speak seriously. He had maxed out all of his basic management skills, even though he looked like a useless piece of shit.

"No."

"There is no other reason why you decided to downsize the store, is there? If there is someone threatening you or something you are afraid of, feel free to tell me."

"No, Hokage-sama. I've already told you the real reason. I'm going to downsize the store and focus on selling only rare and rare items that I have."
