Chapter 4 - Chapter 4: The Raid of Luminous Girls

B-Komachi had been making a name for themselves with their performances on stage. That day, as their concert was in full swing, the atmosphere was electric—until Luminous Girls suddenly stormed the stage. Their members stepped up confidently, and the leader of Luminous Girls took the microphone, addressing the audience:

"We've heard a lot about you. We came to see who these B-Komachi girls really are."

Startled, the members of B-Komachi quickly retreated backstage. The tension was so thick it was almost tangible. Everyone wanted to say something, yet no one dared speak first.

Takamine broke the silence with a sharp, firm tone:

"We can't accept this challenge! This is our concert! It's completely disrespectful!"

Fuyuko took a deep breath and countered:

"But if we refuse, it'll look like we're scared."

Ai listened quietly to them all. Once the arguments died down, she took a deep breath and smiled lightly before speaking with calm determination:

"We accept the challenge."

The entire group froze.

Meimei whispered anxiously:

"Ai, are you sure? What if we lose?"

With a steady voice that sent shivers down their spines, Ai replied:

"If we're afraid, we've already lost. The stage is our battlefield. If we want to win, we have to prove ourselves right here and now."

Returning to the stage, Ai stood firm in front of the Luminous Girls' leader.

"We accept your challenge," she declared.

The concert was immediately canceled, and as the audience slowly dispersed, the first spark of rivalry was ignited.

This challenge went far beyond a simple onstage confrontation. For an entire week, phones rang incessantly and emails flooded in. Rules, conditions, schedules—everything had to be formalized. Managers, lawyers, and members from both groups gathered around a large table. The tension in the room was almost suffocating.

At the end of the meeting, Ai turned to her group and said:

"When we step onto that stage, we won't just be performing as a group—we'll be showing the world who we are. We'll win through our songs and our performance. Never forget that."

The leader of Luminous Girls smirked and replied:

"We'll see. But that night won't just be for you—it'll be something the whole music world will have to witness."

B-Komachi threw themselves into a rigorous training regime to prepare for the showdown. The rehearsal room became their second home for days on end. Ai's powerful voice and commanding stage presence were as sharp as ever. Takamine and Fuyuko's synchronized dance moves added rhythm and structure, while Watanabe's energy combined with the youthful harmony of Meimei and Ari to create a force that could rival any opponent.

Curiosity got the better of them. One day, B-Komachi members decided to sneak into Luminous Girls' rehearsal. They sat quietly in a corner, watching. What they saw left them speechless. Luminous Girls weren't just good—they were extraordinary. Their perfect coordination, strong vocals, and elegant dance moves demonstrated that they were a real powerhouse idol group.

Ai's expression grew tense.

Ari whispered softly:

"Yes, they're very good... but we can still show them who B-Komachi really is, right?"

The group responded in unison:

"Of course!"

When the day of the performance finally arrived, preparations continued at a frantic pace. Stage lights gleamed, last-minute costume adjustments were made, and the technical team ran their final checks. The members exchanged glances, silently reminding each other: this was the turning point of their careers.

B-Komachi also had a secret plan ready. Ai would execute it with a small but critical move during their performance.

That night, Luminous Girls took the stage first. Their performance was mesmerizing—perfect choreography, flawless vocals. The audience roared with applause and cheers. Watching from backstage, the B-Komachi members couldn't help but be impressed by their rivals' stage mastery.

Finally, it was B-Komachi's turn. Ai was ready to make her move. Leaning into the microphone, she whispered a prearranged signal. The technical crew sprang into action, and B-Komachi's new song, Sign Is B, filled the venue.

The energetic opening notes sparked immediate excitement from the crowd. As the group launched into their performance, every step, every note, every glance was perfectly aligned. Their energy was infectious, pulling the audience into their rhythm.

From a corner of the audience, Ichigo, the group's president, watched in surprise.

"You can't do this!" he muttered under his breath. But then, a smile spread across his face.

"How did they manage this? If they're this prepared, then today belongs to them."

He sighed, full of pride:

"Let's see them put on their show..."

When the performance ended, the hall erupted with applause and cheers, already signaling who had won the night. Shortly after, the audience poll results were announced: B-Komachi was the undisputed victor.

The rivalry made headlines across the media the next day. Although Luminous Girls' performance was praised, this night marked the end for them—they were never heard from again.

Meanwhile, B-Komachi was now the talk of the town. All eyes were on them.

And so, B-Komachi proved once again:

The ones who truly shine on stage aren't just those standing under the spotlight, but those who dare to walk boldly even through the darkness.
