The audience in the live broadcast room grew tense, their chatter trembling on the edge of fear.
"Are the dark elves really coming?"
"I'm afraid so…"
"Damn it, I don't want to return to the primitive earth age!"
"It hurts, why is it always us getting dragged into disasters?"
[Nearby, technicians scrambled to set up equipment, unaware of the danger creeping closer. Pedestrians drifted around casually, without the faintest sense of the catastrophe about to erupt. Darcy and the intern hurried over their instruments, just in time for the lake to explode outward.]
[Waves surged violently as a colossal, cross-shaped aircraft carrier rose from beneath the waters, its shadow stretching like a blade across the land. It surged forward, tearing the ground apart as people scattered in panic.]
[The massive vessel's descent shook the earth. Malekith emerged with his dark elves, their armor glinting under the storm-gray sky. The convergence of the Nine Realms neared its final alignment overhead. Thor plummeted from the sky like a meteor.]
[Malekith sneered. "Why travel so far, Asgardian? Death has followed you faithfully."]
["That wasn't your doing," Thor snapped back.]
[Malekith's eyes narrowed. "Your universe should never have existed. Your world, your family, everything, will be erased."]
[Ether particles surged from his body. A single gesture launched a spear-like strike that hurled Thor across the ground.]
[On a distant high-rise, Jane worked furiously beside Dr. Eric. "There's no time!" Eric shouted.]
["I'm almost done, hold on!" Jane muttered, twisting dials.]
["Can this really work?" Eric asked. "These tools detect anomalies, not make them."]
[She didn't answer, she ran.]
The audience panicked.
"No way Thor survives this!"
"The ether particles are way too strong!"
"Where's Tony? Where's the party protocol?!"
[A thunderous explosion rocked the park. A javelin-like burst of ether energy struck Thor mid-charge, flipping him through the air.]
[Wiping blood from his lip, Thor growled, "You're strong… too strong."]
[Malekith lifted both hands, ether flaring wildly around him. Thor hurled Mjölnir. It slammed into Malekith, launching him upward, then thunder rained down relentlessly as the hammer ascended and crashed back again. Meanwhile, Darcy and the intern finished setting up under Jane's guidance.]
[Suddenly, the sky tore open with several circular ruptures, windows into other worlds. The portals widened until whole landscapes of foreign realms glimmered inside.]
[Dr. Eric stammered, "The convergence reaches peak alignment in seven minutes!"]
["Then we hold Malekith for eight," Jane said.]
["Uh, grab something." She activated the device. A shockwave spread outward, swallowing several dark elves instantly.]
[Darcy gasped. "That's insane! What did you do?!"]
["Gravitational fields. Weak points between realms. When they interact, "]
["Jane!" Darcy screamed. "Hit the one with the sword!"]
[Another twist of the dial, and Darcy and the intern vanished into a different world entirely.]
Viewers were stunned.
"Did we just open a door to another world?!"
"This is nuts!"
"In the old Terra era… did people actually travel to alien planets like this?"
[Thor and Malekith crashed through realms, smashing into one world only to reappear in another, their battle shredding landscapes and shattering glass. Ether blasts propelled Thor across dimensions until he vanished, and reappeared, disoriented but unyielding. Mjölnir veered wildly through portals, lost between dimensions.
"Hammer POV must be dizzy as hell!"
[Soon, fighter jets swooped in, but gravity distortions swallowed their missiles into roaring vortexes. Eric and Jane sprinted as dark elves chased them. Buildings shook; monsters burst from alleys, devouring soldiers. Jane teleported enemies away indiscriminately, flinging Darcy and the intern back at her feet.]
[Meanwhile, Thor stumbled into a subway station. The doors slid open.]
["How do I get to Greenwich?" he asked a bewildered commuter.]
["Uh… three stops on this line."]
[A woman beside him was thrown by the train's inertia, straight into Thor's chest. She blushed. So did half the internet.]
"OMG, she touched him ON PURPOSE!"
"Thor riding the subway, this man is committed!"
Above the city, the Nine Kingdoms overlapped perfectly.
Ether power surged toward apocalyptic levels. Terra trembled under the weight of destiny. Councilors of the High Council watched in dread.
"Did dark elves destroy the Terra Earth Age after all?" one whispered.
[Malekith unleashed the ether storm. Red mist consumed the aircraft carrier as the convergence spread across nations. Eric and Jane arrived breathless.]
["Thor!" Eric called. "We're too late, the convergence is at peak!"]
["Can these stop it?" Thor asked.]
["Not from here," Eric answered miserably.]
["We can't get close!" Jane said.]
["I can," Thor declared. He seized the device and charged straight into the ether storm, "Malekith!"]
["The darkness has returned," Malekith said. "Come to witness the universe's annihilation?"]
["I came," Thor answered, "to accept your surrender."]
[He hurled the device. Malekith caught it, just before Jane triggered the switch. His arm evaporated. Another device struck, his second arm vanished into an alien realm.]
["Aether particles are indestructible!" Malekith roared.]
["But you aren't," Thor said. Mjölnir streaked through a vortex, returning with roaring thunder. Thor slammed the instrumentation into Malekith's chest.]
[Jane activated the device again. The gravitational field detonated and Malekith vanished.]
[Silence washed over the world. The aircraft shattered overhead, collapsing into fragments. Far away, in another dimension, Malekith reappeared, just long enough for his own spaceship to crash down and crush him.]
The broadcast erupted.
"We won!!"
"The dark elves lost!"
"The Terra Earth Age survived!"
Inside the Administration, everyone exhaled in relief.
"The ether's power is terrifying," the director murmured. "Good thing it wasn't used to end everything."
Hawking nodded. "At least… that universe continues."
Johan pointed at the screen. "Look!"
[Asgardian Dominion, in the palace. Odin looked at Thor and said, "You once claimed there would never be a wiser monarch than me. You were wrong. The Nine Realms gathered together, and every one of them saw that you saved them with your life. How will Asgard repay its new king?"]
[Thor knelt on one knee, gripping the hammer tightly, "My life."]
[Thor slowly rose, meeting Odin's gaze. "Father, I cannot be king."]
["I will dedicate my entire life to protecting the Nine Realms," he declared. "But sitting on the throne… that I cannot do." Thor continued, "Loki was wrong, but he understands things I never will. The cruelty and sacrifice that come with the throne can reshape a person. I would rather remain a good man than become a ruler."]
[Odin studied Thor and asked quietly, "Is this truly my son's will, or the influence of the woman he loves?"]
[Thor answered, "I've never believed Mother influenced your decisions."]
[Odin sighed.]
[Thor added, "I'm not here for Jane, Father. She doesn't know what I'm about to say. Whether you forbid me from seeing her or allow her to co-govern the realm, it wouldn't change anything."]
[Odin sat upon the throne, speaking softly. "One son yearns too much for the throne. The other walks away from it. Is this truly what I leave for future generations?"]
[Thor said, "Loki died honorably, and I will give everything I can. Isn't that enough?"]
[Thor offered Odin the hammer.]
[Odin said, "Only you are worthy of it. It belongs to you."]
[Thor replied firmly, "I'll do my best."]
[Odin shook his head. "I cannot bless you, nor can I wish you luck."]
[Thor answered, "I know."]
[As Thor turned to leave, Odin added softly, "Yet I am proud of the man my son has become. I cannot say it aloud, but I will praise you in my heart. Go, my son."]
[Thor smiled. "Thank you, Father."]
[As Thor departed, a soft green shimmer pulsed over Odin's throne. Odin vanished, replaced by Loki. The Odin from moments ago… had been Loki's illusion all along.]
[Loki smirked. "No, brother. It's I who should thank you."]
The audience watching the stream froze in collective shock. Everyone was speechless for several seconds.
"I'm sorry!"
"The 'father' he just poured his heart out to… is actually his brother?!"
"Loki is made of pure chaos."
"Loki: secretly enjoying being called 'son.'"
"No wonder Loki didn't want that hammer, he can't even lift it!"
"Not only illusions, Loki's acting is Oscar-level!"
Laughter erupted everywhere.
[The scene cut, a chamber resembling a grand collection hall appeared. Two of Thor's teammates followed a red-skinned attendant inside.]
[The attendant said, "Allow me to introduce the Collector, TaneleerTivan."]
[The white-haired man approached them, performing a hurried but respectful bow. "Ah, Asgard… what an honor."]
[Thor's teammate replied, "You know why we're here."]
[He nodded. "Of course. But allow me a question, why not keep it yourselves?"]
[The teammate said, "The Cosmic Cube is already in Asgard. Two Infinity Stones shouldn't be kept together."]
[He opened a container, inside lay the dark red Aether particles.]
[Tivan smiled. "I can assure you… leave it here. It will be safe beyond doubt."]
["Keep it secure," the teammate said before leaving.]
[Tivan held the Aether carefully.]
["One acquired. Five to go." The snippet ended abruptly.]
Viewers sat stunned, a single term echoed in billions of minds. The entire Terra Federation erupted instantly as countless people spoke at once.
"The Infinity Stones? The Cosmic Cube is one of them?!"
"No way! Aether particles are also Infinity Stones?!"
"One down, five more, that's six Infinity Stones total?!"
"Dear Terra… Aether can destroy the universe!"
"What about the other stones?!"
"The universe during the Terra Earth era isn't simple at all!"
"It's terrifying!"
"What exactly are Infinity Stones?!"
Citizens rushed into discussions, but since this was the first time the term appeared, no one truly understood. The Forum exploded with questions and everyone wanted answers.
Inside the Administration, the Director stiffened the moment he heard "Infinity Stones." His mind flashed like lightning. He had suspected earlier, an invisible thread connecting the ancient Earth era to now. What had once been vague suddenly became clear. That thread, the foundation of all these events, was likely the Infinity Stones.
"The Cosmic Cube appeared on Earth. The Aether particles were taken by humans of that era. And the other four Infinity Stones?" Countless thoughts raced through his mind. He knew almost nothing for certain, but one truth was obvious: The Infinity Stones were unimaginably important to the universe.
Hawking felt his scalp tingle, pupils shrinking, "Infinity Stones? They possess the ability to alter forms and release power that shapes the cosmos. This is… unbelievable."
Johan murmured, "Does the current Terra Federation… possess any Infinity Stones?"
Silence fell. Each Infinity Stone, based on the memories awakenings, would be something countless powerful beings would kill for. If any stone existed within the Terra Federation, it would mean unimaginable danger. Though the public didn't know what the Webb Telescope recently observed in deep space, they sensed something horrifying through these clues.
Inside the High Council, the elders' fear was palpable.
Gladwin said, "These things were never recorded in Terra's history. But now… suspicion is unavoidable. That purple being who once sent an army to Earth wanted the Cosmic Cube!"
Everyone nodded. The possibility was extremely high. Otherwise, why would the Chitauri attack Earth directly? Still, they lacked confirmation.
Sith said, "Too many uncertainties. We must accelerate our plans. Time is running out."
Inside the Norland base, chief engineer Guerino had a sudden thought. If the Infinity Stones powered the Ark Reactor, would it explode instantly? Highly likely.
While the Terra Federation raced to understand the Infinity Stones, the screen flickered.
[A dim underground research base appeared, and an old man said, "It's over. He exposed everything."]
[Opposite him stood a spectacled doctor, examining the equipment. "He only revealed what he knew."]
["If they learn what we're doing here…" the old man whispered, "If they find out we serve Hydra, "]
[The doctor cut him off. "Hydra, S.H.I.E.L.D., they're the same now. Both are failing."]
[They approached a device on a central pedestal, Loki's scepter.]
["We possess something beyond their imagination," the doctor murmured. He stared at the gem embedded in the scepter. "We've barely begun studying it, and already… There are other Hydra bases worldwide. All to counter Captain Rogers and his chaos-stirring allies."]
["To mislead them… what about the volunteers?" the old man asked.]
["The dead are buried deep," the doctor said coldly. "No one will find them."]
["And the survivors?"]
["The twins?"]
["They will meet the world soon enough."]
["This is no longer an age of spies… or even heroes." The doctor looked back, eyes gleaming. "This is the age of miracles. Nothing is more terrifying than a miracle."]
[Inside a glass room, a young man flashed about at impossible speed. Another young woman's eyes glowed red, telekinetically lifting objects around her.]
Billions watched in horrified silence. Everything in this base was unbelievable.
"They took Loki's scepter?!"
"He said S.H.I.E.L.D. is gone?!"
"That guy moves faster than bullets!"
"Space manipulation?! That girl's power is insane!"
"This is ominous."
"This… this is the birth of true miracles."
Inside Human Potential Command, Ashton and the team stared grimly.
"They're humans," someone whispered, "With miraculous power."
Kayden inhaled sharply. "A hundred times more stable than the Virus. The virus was unstable… but these two? Their abilities feel natural. I wonder if it was only these two… or if there were more."
In the Administration, the Director's pulse spiked.
"Another organization? And they want Loki's scepter." A thought struck him.
Dr. Eric once said that both the scepter and the Cosmic Cube emitted similar energy. Could the gem on Loki's scepter also be an Infinity Stone?
Everyone thought the same.
Tonio trembled. "Infinity Stones are too powerful. Those people do not look like good people. If even one isn't controlled properly, it could cause a historical collapse of the entire Earth era!"
After all, Aether alone could destroy the universe.
[Suddenly, alarms blared in the footage.]
["Alert! Alert! This is not a drill. I repeat, this is not a drill. We're under attack!" Inside the base, soldiers grabbed weapons and rushed out.]
[In the snowy landscape, Black Widow barreled forward in an armored vehicle. Hawkeye perched atop it, firing arrow after arrow. A surge of flames streaked past as Tony soared overhead in his suit.]
[BOOM! Thor's hammer crashed down, obliterating a watchtower.]
[With a roar, the Hulk leapt from the trees, smashing an armored truck to scrap. Captain Rogers raced down a snowy trail on his motorcycle, his shield ricocheting flawlessly back into his grip.]
[Gunfire thundered as they advanced on the fortress.]
The Terra Federation erupted.
"It's the Avengers!"
"They're attacking the base researching Loki's scepter!"
"Holy, !"
"Watch out! Those two superpowered people are still inside!"
