Adrik (snarling): Guess you want me all to yourself, huh?
The boss Skyclaw stepped forward, unblinking. Adrik roared, charging in, his sword gleaming—
CLANG!
The monster caught the blade mid-swing with its claw. Adrik's eyes widened.
Adrik (thinking, panicked): He's… faster than me.
The beast twisted its claw, shattering the stone beneath their feet with the force of its block. Then—with terrifying speed—it slammed its fist into Adrik's chest.
The impact threw him across the cavern. His back hit the wall with a sickening crack, blood spraying from his mouth. He gasped, clutching his ribs, forcing himself to stand.
But when he looked up—his eyes locked onto the little girl. She was still there, cowering, tears streaking her bloodstained cheeks. Her voice, trembling and broken, carried across the cavern.
Adrik (thinking): shit... the little girl is also with me. I thought she was other side of the wall.
Girl (pleading, sobbing): Mister… don't die…
Adrik's vision blurred, but his resolve sharpened. His grip on the sword tightened, his knuckles white.
Adrik (thinking): No… not here. Not in front of her. I'll tear this monster apart. i will save this little girl. If i die. This thing will kill her.
His eyes burned with determination as he lunged again, his blade sparking against the claws of the Skyclaw boss.
Chrono Guardianz
Episode 12: back to future part 3
On the other side of the wall, Draxil, Rex, Colt, Axel, and the remaining students stood trapped in darkness. The wall of Skyclaws blocked them off, their wings beating like drums as their claws dug into the stone.
Draxil hammered the wall with his blade, sparks flying, but it didn't budge. Sweat ran down his forehead as frustration burned in his chest.
Draxil (thinking): Damn it! Adrik's trapped in there with that monster. I need to break through before—
The ground rumbled violently, cutting him off. Dust rained from the ceiling. The students huddled together, clinging to one another, their terrified sobs echoing through the cavern. Their faces were pale, their bodies shaking uncontrollably.
And then—they came.
From the deeper tunnels, dozens… no, hundreds of Skyclaws poured out. Their shrieks pierced the air, a wave of teeth and claws surging toward the group.
Draxil (eyes widening): Shit!
He rushed forward, slicing through the first monster, ichor spraying across his face. He spun, cleaving through another, but for every one he killed, two more leapt out of the shadows.
A Skyclaw slammed into him, claws raking his shoulder. Draxil roared, twisting his blade and severing its arm before driving his sword through its chest. He ripped it free just in time to parry another lunging at his throat.
The students screamed as the creatures closed in. Some tried to fight with sticks or broken weapons, but their strikes barely scratched the beasts.
And then—Rex moved.
He stepped forward, silent, calm, his fist curling. A Skyclaw dove at him, jaws wide—CRACK! Rex's punch shattered its skull like glass, blood splattering across the floor.
Another lunged. Rex caught it mid-air, twisting its neck until it snapped.
Colt joined in, his blade flashing, clean and precise. Every swing separated heads from shoulders, every movement efficient and cold. He carved a path through the monsters as though he were culling livestock.
Axel grinned as he leapt into the swarm. His sword spun in wide arcs, slicing Skyclaws into chunks. Wings, arms, heads—pieces rained down, painting the ground with gore. He laughed as he fought, as though the chaos excited him.
But even with Rex's brute strength, Colt's ruthless efficiency, and Axel's wild ferocity—there were too many.
The cavern filled with screeches, the sound of claws scraping stone, the cries of dying students. The air reeked of blood and burning flesh as torches were knocked over in the frenzy.
Draxil (panting, gritting his teeth): Damn it… damn it all! We can't hold them forever!
He swung again, carving another Skyclaw down, but his arms were growing heavy, his breath ragged. He glanced back at the terrified students, pressed together like trapped animals. If the line broke even once… they'd all be slaughtered.
And still, the monsters kept coming.
Back ot other side. Adrik stand up himself. And turn around and didnt saw colt and his brothers.
Adrik: ughh... where are they?
Draxil: ughh.... maybe they went deeper to kill the remaining skyclaws. Should we go there?
Adrik: yes but first we need to sent these people up. You go up and call help....go up someone not alone. We have to save atleast few people. You go while i'll call draxil and others.
Draxil: got it. But can you walk?
Adrik: yeah... its just a small stap man. Dont worry about me.
Adrik winks and walks deeper in the cave while draxil smiles then grab a guy and put him on draxil's back.
Draxil: hold tight.
Draxil checks his shoes and signs
Draxil: Glad i charged my shoes.
Then draxil walks to the hole then jumps... too high with the power of the shoes. With one jump he reached the top and land on the arena. He saw many people getting ready to get down then few doctor and nurse rushed to draxil with hospital bed. Draxil lies the guy from his bacm to the hospital bed then as draxil turn he felt someone holding his hand. He turn back and saw the guy holding his hand. The guy's face was full of blood.
Guy: Thank you...thank you for saving me and.....others.
The guys eyes welled up then the nurse pushed the hospital bed/trolly into a tent and the doctors all starts checking him and healing him. Draxil looks down at his hand where the guy holded. There was some blood om his hand from that guy's.
Draxil (thinking): what was that strange feeling in my heart? Anyway the rescue team is on the way so i'll go to help adrik.
Adrik pushed himself up, one shaky step at a time. His hand pressed against his bleeding side, but he forced himself to stand tall. He turned, scanning the cavern, his voice hoarse.
Adrik: Ughh… where are they?
Draxil glanced around, breathing heavily, his sword still dripping black blood.
Draxil: Maybe Rex, Colt, and Axel went deeper… to finish the rest of the Skyclaws. Should we follow?
Adrik wiped the blood from his mouth with the back of his hand. His eyes hardened.
Adrik: Yeah. But first—we need to get these people out. If we don't, they're dead for sure. You go up and call for help. Don't go alone, take someone with you. I'll stay and gather the others.
Draxil (hesitant): …Got it. But can you even walk?
Adrik forced a grin and winked despite the blood soaking his shirt.
Adrik: Relax, man. It's just a small stab. Don't worry about me.
Without waiting, he turned and limped deeper into the cave, disappearing into the shadows. Draxil watched him for a second, a smile tugging at his lips despite the worry in his eyes.
Draxil (quietly): Damn stubborn fool…
He crouched beside an injured student, lifting the boy onto his back carefully. The student groaned weakly.
Draxil: Hold tight, I've got you.
He adjusted his stance, then looked down at his boots. The faint blue light pulsed along the soles.
Draxil (grinning): Good thing I charged these up.
He crouched low, then whoosh! With one massive leap, Draxil shot up through the hole. In seconds, he landed back on the arena floor, dust scattering beneath his boots.
Gasps rose from the crowd. People were already preparing ropes and stretchers to descend. Doctors and nurses rushed toward him with a rolling hospital bed.
Draxil gently lowered the bloodied student onto it. But as he turned to leave—he felt a weak tug on his hand.
He looked back. The boy's face was pale, covered in blood, his lips trembling as he stared up at Draxil.
Injured boy (whispering, teary-eyed): Th-thank you… thank you for saving me… and the others…
His eyes welled with tears before the nurses hurriedly wheeled him away into a medical tent.
Draxil stood frozen for a second, staring down at his hand. The boy's blood smeared across his palm, still warm.
Draxil (thinking, heart heavy): …What was that feeling in my chest? Gratitude? Relief? I don't know…
He clenched his fist, shaking the thought away, then looked back at the hole.
Draxil (firmly): The rescue team's coming. Good. Now—it's time to get back to Adrik.
With that, he sprinted toward the edge, ready to dive back into the darkness.
Adrik staggered deeper into the cave, his hand pressed against his bleeding side. Each step echoed, and then—he froze.
A faint glow shimmered ahead. He narrowed his eyes, quickening his pace until he stumbled into a massive chamber.
The ground was littered with blood and the torn bodies of Skyclaws, but the walls… the walls were alive with light. Hundreds of glowing stones pulsed faintly, bathing the cavern in hues of blue and purple.
Luminites.
Adrik's eyes widened. He had heard of them—rare stones hidden deep within the earth. Blue was common, purple was rare… and red, the rarest of them all, was said to be worth kingdoms. Sometimes, the blues even changed color under unknown conditions.
Here, the cavern was filled with dazzling purple and shimmering blue, sparkling like stars trapped in stone.
And there they were. Colt, Rex, and Axel—standing right in the middle of it all.
Axel (grinning wildly): Man… if we collect all this, we'll be millionaires! So, what do you say? Shall we hit the jackpot?
Colt only smirked in reply, cool and silent, while Rex stood off to the side, expression blank as his eyes scanned every shadow, every corner.
Without hesitation, Axel blurred into motion, using his speed to crack Luminites from the walls, piling them in the center like a greedy dragon hoarding treasure. Colt followed more calmly, prying gems with calculated movements. Rex kept watch, scanning… always scanning.
Adrik's voice rang out, hoarse but sharp.
Adrik: Colt! We need to get out. Now. This place isn't safe!
He pointed at the ceiling—thin cracks snaked across the rock like veins ready to burst. One wrong move and the cavern would come down on them all.
Adrik: It's better to live empty-handed than die rich under a mountain of rubble.
Axel froze mid-swing, then turned slowly, his smile twisting into annoyance.
Axel: Or… we don't take orders from you. If you're so scared, why don't you grab a stone or two for yourself… and get lost.
Adrik's jaw clenched.
Adrik: I'm not here to collect Luminites! I'm here to drag your stubborn asses out alive!
Axel (snapping, shoving Adrik down): Shut the hell up, you bitch! You think you can boss me around? Leave before I slice you into pieces!
Adrik hit the ground hard, groaning as his wound throbbed like fire. Axel scoffed and turned away, already swinging at another glowing stone. Colt remained calm, still collecting. Rex didn't even look back.
Adrik pushed against the ground, trying to rise—but the pain lanced through his hip. He pressed his hand to the wound and froze. The blood wasn't just his. The Skyclaw boss's black, viscous blood had seeped into him… and now it was spreading. His eyes widened.
Adrik (thinking, horrified): No… that bastard's blood… it's inside me?!
Before he could process, Rex's voice cut through the cavern.
He had wandered deeper and spotted a dusty old bag propped against a rock.
Rex (thinking): …A bag? Strange. Must've been left by someone. Hmph. At least it'll hold the Luminites.
He tossed it back toward Colt, then froze again. Three Skyclaws scuttled out from the shadows, trembling, their eyes wide in fear.
Rex moved instantly. His hands snapped out, catching two of them by the neck. The third screeched in panic and darted upward, its wings beating frantically as it slammed against the cavern ceiling.
Crack.
A chunk of rock gave way. Then another. Dust rained down. The cavern trembled.
Adrik (staggering to his feet, shouting): RUN! The cave—it's collapsing!
Colt's eyes flicked upward, and even he faltered. He and Rex dropped what they had and rushed for the exit.
But Axel… Axel remained, greed blazing in his eyes as he clawed another purple Luminite free.
Adrik (furious, coughing blood): AXEL! LEAVE IT! YOU'LL DIE HERE!
Axel ignored him, frantically stuffing stones into his bag.
The ceiling groaned, massive slabs starting to fall.
Adrik stumbled toward the entrance. Through the dust, he could see the others climbing into the emergency lift—students, survivors, Rex and Colt hauling themselves upward. And there—Draxil, sweat dripping down his face, carrying two terrified children on his back.
The cavern behind them roared.
Adrik: Draxil!
Draxil (turning, shouting over the collapsing cave): Adrik?! Come on! Let's go, the cave's coming down!
Adrik nodded, staggering toward the lift—but froze. His bloodied face turned back. Colt and Rex still stood there, unmoving, their silhouettes framed against the trembling cavern walls.
Adrik (desperate): What the hell are you doing? Come on, let's go!
Colt's eyes narrowed. His voice was low, steady.
Colt: Axel… that idiot's still inside. I'm not leaving him.
Rex (calm, firm): I'll go too.
Adrik: Don't you see? The cave is collapsing! You'll die in there—
A boulder slammed down beside him, scattering stone shards across his cheek. Colt didn't even flinch. He met Adrik's eyes.
Colt: He's my brother. I'd rather be buried alive than abandon him.
Before Adrik could stop them, Colt and Rex vanished in a blur of power, running back into the collapsing darkness.
Adrik's heart twisted, but another scream pulled him around. The lift was already rising with survivors, dust and rubble raining around them. Draxil struggled beneath two kids clinging to his back, sweat streaming down his face.
Adrik rushed to him, ripping the smaller child—a little girl with wide, pleading eyes—from Draxil's back. She was the same girl who had begged him earlier not to kill her. Her arms were freshly bandaged, blood soaking through again.
Adrik (softly, to her): Don't worry… I've got you.
Together, he and Draxil ran for the lift—but it was already rising, out of reach.
Draxil (panting, panicked): Do we go after Colt and the others—or do we jump?!
Adrik hesitated, his mind a storm. Colt and Rex… trapped. Axel… greedy. But the children… innocent.
He clenched his teeth.
Adrik: Jump. These kids deserve to live more than we deserve to fight. Colt and Rex… they're strong. They'll find a way out.
Draxil gave a sharp nod and leapt. His shoes thrummed with power, propelling him up like a rocket. He landed above, safe.
Adrik took a step back to follow, but his vision blurred. His wound burned, the Skyclaw's poison eating at his veins. He gathered what strength he had, the little girl clinging tightly to him—
Then a massive boulder cracked free above.
Girl (screaming): Aaaah!
Adrik snapped awake from his daze, diving aside just in time as the rock obliterated the ground where he had stood. His chest heaved. He staggered, tried to jump—but his body didn't respond. He looked down.
The light on his shoes was dead.
Adrik (thinking, panicking): No… no no no no! They're out of charge?! I can't jump! I… I'm trapped!
His arms tightened around the girl as tears streaked her dusty cheeks.
Adrik (thinking, spiraling): Shit! SHIT! What do I do?! If I die, fine—but her? No! Damn it, I should've let Draxil carry her, at least she would've—DAMN IT! What should I do?!
His breath came ragged, his vision tunneling. He closed his eyes. His body trembled as he whispered:
Adrik (thinking, broken): Forgive me…
The girl's tiny arms wrapped around his neck tighter, and for a moment—it stilled him. Her heartbeat, fragile but real.
And then—
A spark.
A surge ripped through him like fire and lightning intertwined. His veins lit up, his heart hammered, and his eyes—
They burst open, glowing a brilliant, unnatural blue.
Stone cracked beneath his feet as a pressure exploded outward.
Adrik roared, clutching the girl to his chest, and leapt—without the shoes. His body tore through the air like a cannon shot, higher, farther, faster than Draxil had ever jumped.
He landed hard on the arena floor, knees buckling. Dust burst around him as he collapsed, coughing blood into his palm. His glowing eyes dimmed faintly.
Nurses rushed forward, one of them immediately pulling the girl from his arms and laying her gently on a stretcher. Her face was pale, motionless.
The nurse pressed fingers to her neck, searching for a pulse.
Meanwhile, Draxil rushed to Adrik's side, gripping his arm.
Draxil (urgent, shaking him): Adrik! Stay with me! Your eyes—they were… glowing! What the hell was that?!
Adrik barely lifted his head, his lips smeared with blood, his chest heaving. He looked past Draxil, at the girl on the stretcher.
Adrik (hoarse, weak): …Just… tell me she's alive…
Draxil (angrily, but voice shaking): First answer me, damn it! Why didn't you jump when I did? You almost gave me a heart attack, man! Don't you ever do that again!
He grabbed Adrik's shoulders—but froze.
Draxil (concerned): …Wait. Why are you so pale?
Adrik said nothing. His glowing eyes had faded, back to normal, but there was fear in them—fear and exhaustion. He swayed where he stood, then—
CRAAAAACK!
The ground trembled as a deafening roar echoed. Both of them turned just in time to see the cave entrance—the hole—collapse completely. Dust and rubble poured out like an avalanche, sealing it shut.
Adrik's heart stopped.
Adrik (thinking, frozen): No… Colt… Rex… Axel… they're still down there.
His body refused to move. His legs gave way, and he fell to his knees, clutching at the wound in his side. Draxil caught him, holding him upright.
Draxil (urgent): Bro, hey—stay with me, you okay?!
Adrik tried to nod, but his gaze snapped past Draxil, toward the stretcher. The nurse who had been working on the little girl froze. Her gloved hands trembled. She shook her head and whispered to another nurse.
Nurse (quietly, broken): …She's gone. Too much blood loss. We… we can't bring her back.
Adrik's eyes widened. His breath hitched.
On the trolley, the little girl's body lay still, her tiny frame wrapped in bloody bandages. Her glassy eyes—still half-open—were fixed toward him. Toward Adrik.
The nurse gently reached down and closed them, whispering a prayer, before wheeling the trolley away.
Adrik's chest caved in. His lips trembled.
Adrik (thinking, broken): I'm sorry… I'm sorry. I couldn't save you. I promised myself I would… and I failed.
He started hiccuping, his hands shaking violently. His tears splattered onto the ground.
Draxil (softly, worried): Hey… Adrik. Why are you crying?
Adrik's voice cracked as he clutched Draxil's shirt, hugging him like a drowning man clinging to driftwood.
Adrik (sobbing): It's my fault, Draxil… she died because of me. If I'd been stronger, if I'd jumped sooner—she'd still be here.
His cries were weak, muffled against his brother's chest. Draxil held him tightly, rubbing his back, fighting his own tears as he tried to keep his voice steady.
Draxil (soft but firm): No, bro… no. Don't you dare blame yourself. You tried. You gave her a chance nobody else could've. That's not your fault. That's not on you.
Adrik's grip weakened. His body went limp in Draxil's arms.
Draxil (panicking): Adrik?! Hey—Adrik! Stay with me, damn it!
He shook him, but Adrik didn't respond.
Draxil (shouting): DOCTOR! I need a doctor here!
Within seconds, nurses and doctors swarmed them, lowering Adrik onto a stretcher as Draxil knelt beside him, his hands still trembling, his heart pounding in his throat.
The scene faded to black with the echo of Draxil's desperate voice calling his brother's name.
Present time. Adrik, Draxil, Lyra, Lior, and Liza walk together through the smoldering remains of a burning village. Ash drifts lazily through the air. Cracked wood and scorched earth crunch underfoot.
Lior is in Lyra's arms, his cut-off leg wrapped crudely with a small towel to stop the bleeding. His face is pale but determined. Liza walks beside them, gripping Lior's staff tightly as they move cautiously through the chaos.
Adrik (quietly): And when I woke up… the doctors said something I didn't expect. They told me I got a power… and that power is my glowing blue eyes. I got it when the boss's blood mixed with mine. It completely changed my life. But… whenever I use that power… I always remember that little girl.
Draxil places a firm hand on Adrik's shoulder, a silent gesture of support.
Lior (grimly, looking ahead): Then how did Colt come here? Didn't he die in that cave too? And if not… how did he time travel? And… why would he want to destroy this world?
Draxil (shaking his head): We don't know. The last time we saw him… was in that cave. Everything after that is unknown.
Adrik (with a low sigh): I have a guess… maybe the blue and purple luminite minds collided. When they collide… they break. Usually when they break, they blast apart. But sometimes… they create something else. A portal. It's just a theory… not a fact. But I think it might have happened.
Lior glances at Liza, who gently raises his staff, showing it to Adrik.
Lior: So… in my staff… it is a luminite, right?
Adrik (nodding): Yeah… it's a luminite. That's why your staff feels different.
The air grows heavy. Ash falls more thickly now, and the crackle of distant flames fills the silence. Then—without warning—a deafening crash shakes the ground.
A bus falls from the sky, slamming into the ground with a thunderous impact. Dust, splinters, and a cloud of smoke erupt outward. Everyone freezes mid-step, their eyes widening in shock.
Through the dust and debris, shapes emerge. Inside the shattered bus are familiar faces — Granny, Grandpa, the mother with her two sons, Carla, Jeff, their little daughter Clara, and others. None of them are dead. They stagger out of the wreckage, battered and coughing, but alive.
Lior (shocked, whispering): That… shouldn't be possible…
The group stares at the scene, catching their breath. Then Lior's eyes widen in horror when he sees Colt standing not far off, his sword gleaming under the faint light. Beside him stands Rex — twisted, monstrous, and dripping with menace.
Rex (low, rumbling growl): Let's finish them off.
A tense silence falls. The crackle of flames grows louder. The group instinctively tightens their formation, weapons ready, hearts pounding as the air around them thickens with the scent of war.
