Chapter 179 - SSG [179]

"Ha... I really want a supercomputer..."

Exhausted, Zeroy finally paused the operation of the simulated worlds, wearily voicing her most urgent wish at that moment, her tone carrying a hint of lazy coquettishness.

"Patchi~"

She called softly, then leaned gently against Patchouli, who was in the middle of copying a grimoire, snuggling into her side. Since they had already confessed their feelings and even shared intimacy, there was no longer any need to care about so-called distance. So Zeroy naturally pushed Patchouli down onto the floor, climbing onto her like a spoiled kitten, and finally nestled into the crook of Patchouli's neck, nuzzling affectionately and lazily.

"Patchi build me a supercomputer"

She whispered sweetly, full of expectation and playful pleading.

With the simulations ongoing, faced with the problems of an entire society, Zeroy was beginning to feel overwhelmed. Continuing to calculate manually like this was just far too slow. And as problems and variables kept increasing, the longer it went, the larger the datasets grew, making progress ever slower.

She truly needed a supercomputer. Even if not delegating the entire simulation, just having one to assist her would multiply her efficiency.

"..."

Patchouli helplessly set aside the half-finished copy in her hand. She reached out to gently stroke Zeroy's long hair while pondering the supercomputer Zeroy spoke of. Of course, she knew the use of a supercomputer—and with magic... actually, it really could be done. She didn't know how to build a supercomputer, but she did know how to achieve the same effect with magic.

However, to assist Zeroy with her current undertaking, such a magic would be an enormous project. Patchouli quickly constructed a rough magical model in her mind, and then—

"Impossible. Don't think about it."

The witch's voice was cold and merciless. The project was simply too massive. She couldn't possibly create it in a short time. Even devoting all her effort, the time needed would still be measured in years. Given Zeroy's current growth rate, and the perception of time in the Main God Space—

In just a few years, who knew how much stronger Zeroy would have become?

"Uu~ Almighty Patchi has crashed..."

Zeroy let out a wail of disappointment. Yet in truth, she was only speaking casually. Since she didn't understand magic as well as Patchouli, in her view, magic couldn't accomplish this sort of thing—a supercomputer was a product of the technological side. She really just wanted to cuddle with Patchouli a bit before resting.

"Hopefully the next world will be a high-tech one... Good night, Patchi."

With that final murmur, Zeroy closed her eyes and rested. In a high-tech world, it wasn't necessary for one to already have a supercomputer capable of handling her simulations. As long as there was some fairly advanced supercomputer, Zeroy could consume Breath of Miracles to directly enhance it into the supercomputer she needed.

......

When Zeroy awoke, she wanted to continue with the simulated worlds.

Abruptly, right then, Rias arrived.

"My brother has already found a powerful warrior willing to fight you two, but the specifics will need to be settled face-to-face."

The strong one Sirzechs had contacted was named Serafall Leviathan. She was actually Sirzechs's colleague, one of the Four Great Satans, the current Demon Lord who inherited the name [Leviathan]. Weaker than Sirzechs the Transcendent, yet stronger than a standard Demon Lord—a Super Demon Lord–level powerhouse.

After introducing Serafall to Zeroy and Patchouli, Rias did not immediately take them to meet her. Instead, she made a request—she hoped to gain Zeroy and Patchouli's help in defeating her fiancé.

Because of the Three Factions War, the devils had been greatly weakened, forcing them to develop the Rating Games and Devil Pieces, turning other races into devils to replenish their numbers. However, those reincarnated devils were not pure-blooded, and thus couldn't restore the numbers of true pure-blood devils.

So, to preserve pure-blood lines, all pure-blood devils had a responsibility to intermarry with other pure-bloods. This was the rule set by the new generation of devils. Even the sister of a Demon Lord like Sirzechs could not defy it.

Though Zeroy felt that if Rias stubbornly refused and pestered her brother and mother enough, they'd probably bend the rules for her. In any case, Rias hadn't done so and thus had to shoulder this responsibility.

Her fiancé was Riser Phenex, the third son of the Phenex family. Rias had once tried to resist, challenging him in a Rating Game.

However, Riser Phenex was ranked among the top ten, and unsurprisingly, Rias lost, resulting in the engagement being set.

Now, with the engagement party approaching—her last chance to resist—if it went smoothly, her status as fiancée would be cemented. Yet she knew that with her current strength, she still couldn't possibly defeat Riser, so she hoped for Zeroy's help.

"Do you need me to kill him for you?" Zeroy asked, blinking.

If his karmic evil truly warranted the death penalty, she would gladly help. However, if not, then it would be troublesome. She was reasonable and could only help Rias through other means.

"No, I just want to defeat him in a Rating Game."

"A Rating Game, huh..."

Simply put, it was when two devils brought their respective followers to fight in a set arena. Yet in reality, it wasn't so simple—there were plenty of rules and restrictions.

"Patchi and I probably can't directly participate, right?"

Zeroy didn't know the specific rules of the Rating Game, but such a guess wasn't strange. Only the followers of both sides could participate. Zeroy herself didn't mind temporarily becoming Rias's follower to help with this, since she could just cut the bond afterward.

Albeit could Rias really reincarnate her as a follower, given the gap in power?

Besides, Riser was only a high-class devil like Rias. Above high-class devils were ultimate-class, then special-class, then Demon Lord level—and only above that was where Zeroy and Patchouli stood now: Super Demon Lord level.

Letting them participate would be like adults bullying infants. And anyone could see they were external reinforcements, not Rias's real followers. In that situation, could Zeroy and Patchouli really participate directly? And if they did, wouldn't it cause backlash against Rias?

In Rating Games, simply winning wasn't enough—the manner of victory was also judged.
