Chapter 6 - Chapter 6- "Exams"

Days turned into weeks, and weeks into months. Time passed so quickly that no one realized when exam day finally arrived the day everyone had been waiting for.

In the Exam Hall

Every student was focused on their papers. The teacher's sharp eyes scanned the class, making sure no one tried to cheat. Silence filled the room, broken only by the scratching of pens on paper.

After the Exam

Outside the class, Tanya and Shivam walked out with full confidence. Ravi, however, looked a little nervous.

Shivam (laughing):

"Do you know, those 25 questions were so easy? I swear I felt like the god of science after writing today's paper!"

Tanya (teasing him):

"Ohhh, here he goes flexing again! Of course it was easy for you it was all Biology. For others, those 25 questions are tough, but for you? Child's play."

They both laugh, but then notice Ravi is silent.

Shivam (placing a hand on Ravi's shoulder):

"Why are you quiet like a statue? Come on, share your exam experience with us."

Ravi (nervously):

"I… I don't know. I just feel nervous. I'm not sure what result I'll get."

Tanya (raising an eyebrow):

"What do you mean? Are you saying you're not confident about your result?"

Ravi:

"It's not about confidence… it's just… the nerves. I can't help it."

Shivam (firmly):

"Hey, listen. We studied well. None of us is going to fail. So stop worrying, okay?"

Encouraged, Ravi nods slightly. The three of them continue preparing for the rest of their exams. They give their best, and before they know it, all the papers are over just like time slipped away again.

Result Day

The classroom buzzed with mixed emotions. Some students were thrilled with their scores, some disappointed, while others were simply satisfied with average marks.

Shivam (jumping with happiness):

"I knew it! I knew it! My marks are great! Science, Maths, Hindi… everything's solid!"

Tanya too smiled, equally pleased with her performance.

Then the teacher entered the class with an announcement.

Teacher (announcing):"Dear students, as every year, the principal will reward those who performed the best in their subjects. Tomorrow, during assembly, the principal will personally hand out the prizes."

The entire class erupted with excitement, eager to see who would be recognized.

Next Day – Morning Assembly

All the students gathered in the ground. After the prayer ended, the teacher stepped up to announce the names.

Teacher:

"Anubhav, please come to the stage."

The principal handed him a gift pack.

Principal:

"Congratulations! You've scored excellently overall, and you're the only one in your class to get full marks in Hindi and in Sports. Well done."

The audience clapped loudly. One by one, other names were called, and students received their awards.

Finally

Teacher:

"Tanya Gupta, please come to the stage."

The principal smiled and gave her a gift pack.

Principal:

"Very good, Tanya. You've performed well in every subject, but your Math result is outstanding a perfect score! Let's have a big round of applause."

The students cheered as Tanya stepped down, her face glowing with pride.

Next, the teacher called for Shivam.

Principal (handing him the gift):

"Excellent work, Shivam. Your score in Science is unbelievable, especially in Biology. Keep it up."

Shivam (smiling):

"Thank you, sir. Actually, I want to become a doctor in the future."

Principal (nodding):"Great ambition. Keep working hard."

With that, the ceremony came to an end. The students were rewarded with a holiday, and those with the highest achievements were promised a special picnic from the orphanage.
