Chapter 18 - 18

Be careful. The fact that he's still alive proves his strength isn't bad. Don't underestimate him."

Diana didn't think there was anything wrong with Russell wanting to kill the Punisher.

While killing isn't necessarily a good thing, it depends on who you're killing.

Diana never had a so-called 'saintly' heart.

Although the education on Paradise Island was a bit outdated, one thing it taught well was that a good enemy is a dead enemy.

Showing mercy to an enemy is not only risking your own life but also the lives of your family and friends.

Although Diana had only been in this world for four years, she had lived in human society in the adjacent DC world for decades.

She had seen plenty of the ridiculous things that arose from so-called human rights.

If Russell were going to kill an ordinary person who posed no threat to society, Diana would stop him.

Clearly, the Punisher didn't fall into that category.

On the surface, the Punisher only targeted the guilty.

But don't forget, any act of violence inevitably leads to uncontrollable collateral damage.

And those who suffer this collateral damage are often ordinary people.

Take the fire at Russell's office, for example; it's a very clear case.

If the police and firefighters hadn't arrived in time, it wouldn't have just been Russell's office that burned down.

After sharing what happened today with Diana, Russell patted her flat stomach, which had not a single ounce of fat.

"You've been working all day, you must be tired. Go take a shower and get some rest!"

Russell's expression and tone were very serious.

As soon as he finished speaking, Diana rolled her eyes at him.

They had been living together for two years, like an old married couple. Diana knew exactly what he was thinking just by using her toes.

Diana got up from the sofa and went to the master bedroom.

Before long, the sound of running water could be heard from the master bedroom bathroom.

Hearing the water running from the bathroom, Russell got up and went to the bathroom door.

The bathroom door wasn't completely closed, leaving a gap that wasn't large but was clearly suggestive.

Excellent!

This was the unspoken understanding between an old married couple.

Without any hesitation, Russell pushed the door open and walked in.

In the misty bathroom, there was a perfect body like that of the goddess Venus.

The mist slightly obscured this artwork-like delicate figure.

However, the veiled, half-hidden view made it even more tempting to get a full look.

Tonight's night... was very moist!

...

The next morning.

Russell, who had slept late after being busy until midnight, slowly opened his eyes and gently withdrew his left arm, which Diana had been using as a pillow.

After flexing his slightly numb left hand, he couldn't help but recall the wild scenes from last night.

Compared to Diana, who had a demigod's physique, his extraordinary physique was clearly a bit weaker.

In the past, the victory at the end of a fight often went to Diana.

But last night, relying on his steel-like tenacity and his newly acquired ability to control adrenaline, he finally sounded the horn of victory on the main battlefield and secured the final win.

Although he achieved his first victory on the main battlefield in two years of cohabitation last night, there were still some minor unexpected incidents during the battle.

He had thought he could perfectly control the Venom symbiote.

But it turned out his control was still just a little bit short of perfect.

During moments of extreme pleasure, the Venom symbiote would still show signs of being somewhat uncontrollable.

When the battle was at its most intense, some symbiote material unconsciously emerged from his body.

Although the symbiote only emerged from his chest and was only a few centimeters out, the consequence was that Diana almost kicked him off the bed.

If he hadn't reacted immediately and completely retracted the symbiote back into his body, he probably would have been left with some indelible psychological trauma last night.

Despite some unexpected minor hiccups, it must be said that last night was a beautiful night, a memorable night.

Even thinking about it now, Russell still felt a little excited.

Both psychologically and physiologically excited.

Thinking of this, he unconsciously turned his head to look at Diana, who was still asleep.

Beautiful people look beautiful even when they are sleeping.

Her long, black, smooth hair was casually spread out, which didn't give a messy feeling but instead made the mature Diana look lazy and charming.

Her shoulders, sculpted like jade, had graceful lines and delicate, fair skin.

Following down from her shoulders was a beautiful curve.

Unfortunately, this curve was currently hidden by the thin, soft blanket, preventing one from feasting their eyes.

Continuing down, most of what was visible was still the white blanket.

The only thing exposed was her slightly restless left foot.

A section of her long, straight, perfectly shaped, and wonderfully feeling left foot was sticking out from under the blanket.

Although it was only a part, it was enough to make one's imagination run wild, wondering what kind of enticing figure lay beneath the blanket.

Russell didn't wake Diana. He got up to wash and simultaneously thought about how to find the Punisher, wherever he might be.

Since he had decided to kill the Punisher, he should do it as soon as possible to prevent him from causing any major incidents.

He had already caused enough trouble in the past few days; if he continued to be so high-profile, it was hard to say whether he would attract some unnecessary attention.

While he was washing up, Diana, still groggy with sleep, came into the bathroom.

Even though she had her own pajamas, Diana always liked to wear his white shirt, and only the shirt, shamelessly exposing her tempting beautiful legs.

Breakfast was still being made by Diana.

While Diana was making breakfast, Russell turned on the TV to watch the morning news.

Sure enough, the textile factory that had been wiped out was the top story today.

A seemingly ordinary textile factory that paid its taxes on time had suddenly met with disaster.

Although the NYPD wanted to handle this matter discreetly and investigate the killer secretly,

The sharp-nosed media wouldn't easily let go of this explosive news.

A vicious case with dozens of deaths!

In the eyes of the media, this was simply a gold mine of traffic.

In just one night, these media outlets dug up a lot of useful inside information.

For example, the seemingly ordinary textile factory was actually a notorious assassin organization.

The Brotherhood had a considerable reputation in the assassin world; as long as you were willing to pay, digging up information about the Brotherhood wasn't difficult.

An assassin organization hidden in the shadows!

An unknown, brutal shootout!

Dozens of deaths!

All these factors combined completely ignited the public's curiosity.

Although shootings were not uncommon in New York, cases with dozens of deaths were still rare.

This sudden major case not only aroused strong public curiosity but also attracted the attention of the S.H.I.E.L.D. New York branch.
