Chapter 14 - Chapter 14: The Other Eraser

Opening

The wound in the sky screamed as the whispering void tempted Ael.

Serapheon still struggled against his own chains.

Suddenly—all threads of fate froze still, as if another hand seized the loom.

---

The Appearance

From the blank void stepped a ragged figure in black, wielding a silver quill.

He emerged as though walking out from between pages.

He introduced himself:

> "I am Kael, the Erasure that was abandoned."

---

Three-Way Confrontation

Serapheon: "Another one?! You too are a calamity!"

Kael smirked: "Unlike the boy, I don't erase to save anyone… I erase because this world has no worth."

Ael froze—Kael looked like his darker reflection.

Lyra sensed it instantly: Kael was not fighting for anything, but to reduce all into nothing.

---

Kael's Power

Unlike Ael, who erases things directly—Kael erases meaning itself.

Example: he points at a stone pillar—not erasing the stone, but erasing "the meaning of being a pillar." The structure crumbles into rubble.

He points at the chains binding Serapheon → erases "the meaning of imprisonment" → chains shatter, Serapheon breaks free.

---

The Debate

Kael: "You're too weak, Ael. Erasing halfway only leaves the world in half-suffering."

Ael: "And erasing everything you see—how is that different from killing all?"

Kael: "It's different. I don't kill. I simply make it so they never existed at all."

---

Ending Hook

Kael extends his hand to Ael:

> "Join me, and we'll erase the Council's law… even the darkness itself will vanish."

Behind him, the shadow beyond fate laughed, as though amused.

Ael trembles, torn between Lyra, Serapheon, and Kael.

The chapter ends with his thought:

> "Will my power save the world… or erase everything until nothing remains?"
