Bravin pulled the car to a stop outside the police station.
Adrian exhaled, checking his watch. "Let's make this quick. The party's still waiting."
Lucien's eyes lit up with excitement. Ash glanced at him uneasily, then turned to Adrian. "I think you should go in alone."
Adrian frowned. "Why?"
Ash lowered his voice. "Look at him. He's too excited. I'm afraid he might overdo it."
Lucien crossed his arms, pouting. "I'm not that bad. Don't ruin my mood."
Adrian gave a small sigh. "Fine. I'll handle him myself. You both just watch."
Ash nodded, relaxing slightly. Lucien bit his lower lip, muttering, "Hmph."
They stepped out of the car, greeted by the police captain, who quickly led them inside. Lucien trailed behind, grinning and greeting every officer they passed as if it were a social visit.
The captain stopped at a cell door, unlocked it, and stepped aside for Adrian and Ash to enter.
