At the hospital, Adrian sat on the chair beside his father, who lay unconscious with an oxygen tube resting under his nose. Adrian watched him anxiously, and then, suddenly, he noticed his father's little finger move.
Adrian's eyes widened. He leaned forward. "Father?" he called softly.
His father's eyelids fluttered before slowly opening, his gaze unfocused as he scanned the room in confusion.
Adrian quickly removed the oxygen tube and said with visible relief, "Father, you're awake."
"What...happened?" his father murmured.
"Your blood pressure spiked. You collapsed, and I brought you to the hospital," Adrian explained.
His father took a slow breath, exhaled heavily, then whispered, "You did this."
Adrian stared at him, stunned. Before he could respond, his phone rang. It was Bravin.
He answered, and after listening for only a few seconds, his entire expression froze. He grabbed his coat from the chair.
