Chapter 93 - Cap.87- Blue Star Monarch

On Black Spider's side, the clones had already completed enough missions to earn 120 credibility points, which was the standard value for most jobs.

(A/N: This wasn't clear in the original, but since Han Xiao needed this for the Sunil mission, and since shortly before Han left he encountered a man asking for mercenaries with at least that amount to accept his mission, I believe 120 is a reasonable base value.)

Ringo had already chosen the mission for Black Spider, after selecting the planet in the 8th Star zone of the Garton Star System, he chose a job precisely in that area.

The job was quite detailed, but a bit complicated. At a biotechnology company's research base, a life form they were researching escaped and killed everyone at the base. Due to its ability to conceal itself, and now on a huge planet, the life form was completely lost.

The job is to find and contain the fugitive life form, the reward is 120,000 enas, a very large sum, but this mission had been open for several months and no one had completed it, which led to a sharp increase in the value over time.

Besides the fact that several of the mercenary groups that were sent died, the estimate is that the strength of the life form is already similar to Grade B!

At least one Grade B Super had already died, so the mission was not accepted for a long time.

There are still Grade A mercenary groups, but it's not just a matter of strength, you have to find the creature first.

Ringo was excited about this hunt, firstly because he had many ways to find this creature and secondly because even if Black Spider dies, it doesn't matter, he can revive himself at will.

Overall, this type of high-risk search mission is perfect for him.

The cost is low, but completing this type of mission will bring a lot of renown to his mercenary group, which will make his future life easier.

But first, he went back to Ellenor and sold the 100,000 vials of genetic medicine.

Permanent serums could cost thousands of Enas per serum tube, while those with temporary overlapping effects ranged from tens to hundreds of Enas per serum tube.

In the end, the total came to a little over 10 million Enas, now he had enough money to buy the dwarf planet, but he wouldn't do that yet. He would first make some more money while enjoying the time it took for the queens to grow to adulthood.

Ringo only came to drop off the package and left, he didn't have time to train with the ongoing Xenomorph project.

It was funny to see Ellenor's confused face when he came to deliver the order, having never left the Juberly Hub.

Black Spider had noticed people watching him for a long time, including some Grade C mages and psychics, but from beginning to end, they never saw Black Spider leaving or meeting with anyone else.

Not even the mages felt any spatial or energetic fluctuation when Ringo arrived, after all, his second evolution was focused on concealment.

For Ellenor, this only meant that whoever came to deliver the request was much stronger than his wizards.

This made him take a step back, he wanted to steal Black Spider, but unfortunately that didn't seem like an easy thing to do, so he gave up for now, unless headquarters sent a super Grade B to try his luck.

In any case, Black Spider could find other groups to work with, but working with one of them was already dangerous enough, he had no interest in increasing the number of people who wanted to profit from his death.

Besides the fact that this group was already enough to consume their entire production, the order for the following month was for 400,000 bottles!

That was over 40 million Enas! Ringo was genuinely envious of the financial groups, for an ordinary galactic citizen, a thousand Enas was already a huge amount of money, but for them, it was just pocket change!

Thus, while the factories were being expanded and Ringo was working on the Xenomorph project in Hell, Black Spider had already boarded his new ship, nicknamed Trihexa by him, then left Juberly Hub heading towards the 8th star zone.

The mission contact was waiting for him on an artificial satellite orbiting the target planet.

At the Hell base, a clone had been left behind. It was still impossible for Black Spider's consciousness to traverse distances between stellar zones, but Ringo had left a Nightmare mark on this clone. Through the Nightmare dimension, he could bring Black Spider's consciousness back to the clone, it was like combining Black Spider's Esper ability with Ringo's Nightmare ability.

Ringo brought some communicators, as well as buying advanced technology for Lena, so even if Black Spider dies there, he can still start over and the money in his account won't disappear.

It was a necessary precaution because his ability to see the future couldn't extend that far, there were too many variables before reaching the planet. Only after he got there would it be easier to see the possibilities.

And so the journey began, the ship's speed wasn't the best, so it would still take him about half a month to arrive.

The clones operated the ship while Black Spider returned to training, but it wasn't just training, he was close to evolution.

To achieve this, Ringo spared no expense and managed to acquire some extremely expensive reagents for himself.

In the captain's quarters, seated on his bed, Black Spider opened a metallic briefcase with a soft, decompression hum, a cold mist emanated from the case, revealing ten vials.

The liquid was silvery white with blue lights shining periodically like stars in a milky galaxy.

Black Spider picked up a vial and narrowed his eyes, remembering the information, he was searching for different races for his friends and family, and among them, he found this one that would suit Lena very well, but would also be very useful for Black Spider.

[Blue Star Monarch (High Concentration) - A race with accelerated thinking and the ability to separate thought processes, the number is based on MYS and INT, in addition to greatly improving intelligence and receiving learning bonuses.]

A very rare race, but not particularly strong, most of them become mages, mechanics and psychics, but they are not a warrior race, preferring study to actual fighting.

For Ringo, this didn't matter, with this race, the number of clones that could be perfectly controlled would increase greatly, making it perfect for Black Spider. Even Lena would benefit greatly from this race, for a profession that depends on knowledge like mechanics, this race was perfect.

Sure, the downside is that it would probably turn the person into a pacifist nerd, but Ringo could easily fix that by making some genetic alterations.

Sighing, he began injecting fluid after fluid, the function of this reagent was to enhance Intelligence and a little of Mystery.

Technically, with just one fluid it would have been possible for Ringo to work with his evolutionary energy and transform the Black Spider, but it would have taken a long time, so he used several at once, corrupting the Black Spider's gene completely.

The seller said it was safe to apply up to 3, Black Spider applied 10.

When the final reagent fused with him, Black Spider's eyes turned a vibrant blue, resembling Lena's eyes, almost supernatural, but Ringo could sense the internal genetic degradation, his intelligence increased, but his physical stats decreased.

If it weren't for the fact that Black Spider was a Super Grade C, he would already be on his deathbed at this point, mutations would lead to a series of different types of cancer, but for now he was only under a Debuff that would last a good while.

Ringo didn't care and began to work, white energy began to flow through Black Spider again. He felt his cells tremble as the Monarch gene from the blue star slowly replaced his own gene, triggering the evolution of the race directly.

Normally it would take several months or years to complete this, but with Ringo's evolutionary energy covering him, the evolution would only take a few hours and by the time that passed, Black Spider would reach Lv.61.

Smiling, Black Spider lay down, letting the white energy work its magic. His physique continued to improve and his skin grew increasingly rigid as the evolution went on.

When the evolution finally ended, he took a deep breath as he opened his eyes, his blue eyes had become like brilliant sapphires, and, depending on the angle of view, his skin seemed to refract a faint blue light.

In terms of physical defense, it didn't increase much, but he gained a certain degree of energy defense with this new layer of skin.

Letting out a soft sigh, he didn't look much different from a human.

Black Spider felt the increased strength and smiled slightly, the biggest change was in his mind. Time seemed to pass more slowly as he thought. Not only that, but he continued to split his thoughts, managing to divide them into up to three, thinking about completely different things at the same time.

The potential of this was tremendous, being able to divide the functions of one's own body, concentrating one mind on defense, another on attack and last on movement... although complicated, it's still useful enough.

Ringo began to take an interest in this race, imagine using one mind for future vision, another for physical fight and another for mental attack...

But that can wait, for now, a clone emerged from Black Spider's body, completely naked, but he didn't care about it and continued splitting.

Soon there were 20 more naked clones in the room, but Black Spider felt that his control over them was perfect, each one was no different from himself and he could even control a few more.

The clones went to a compartment next door, already prepared with hundreds of standard uniforms, Black Spider had prepared several knowing he would need them for the clones.

Ringo's clone left Black Spider and began altering the clone's appearance, so each one was different, not arousing suspicion, yet they still wore helmets, now adapted to the galaxy's standard technology.

The group of clones dressed in black left the room and went to work on the ship. Now he had 28 usable clones, all with Grade C physiques. Even if it was just the weakest physique and without special powers, 28 Grade C Supers were no joke, they could decimate all six nations on Aquamarine, one by one.

Satisfied, Black Spider went to the command center, watching the accelerated movement of the hyper drive, which would soon have to be turned off. A ship like this couldn't maintain the hyper drive for very long, so it could only make a few short jumps and then wait for the system to cool down.

Shaking his head, Black Spider watched as the tunnel vision diminished and the view of the galaxy returned to normal.

He looked for a moment and was about to leave when his eyes widened.

He saw something slowly approaching in the distance, at first he thought it was an asteroid, but when it got close enough, he could see a human outline. The individual was about to hit the ship's shields, but Ringo deactivated the energy shields, curious about what it was.

The creature finally struck the glass panel directly and Black Spider could see it perfectly, his lips trembled as he looked at the creature in front of him.

Looking at the creature's underside, Black Spider couldn't help but say. -Look, a space worm.
