Chapter 2 - The Kid.

Soon, a white haired man dressed in a white lab coat and scrubs opened the door.

"How are you doing this morning sir? Are you feeling alright?" The Doctor asked as he examined König with his glasses. A green magic circle appeared over his lenses, giving him an accurate report of what's going on with König.

König noticed this and thought, 'I should have took note when I fought those bandits, but it seems like the natives of this world can cast spells using what I presume is the native energy of this world. I will have to do further research on that if I want to fit in.'

He then opened his mouth to speak, "Yes sir, I'm feeling fine. A young man like me can take quite the beating!" He laughed. The doctor gave him a slight chuckle before pulling out a clipboard, "May I ask your name and what happened to you?"

"Of course. My name is König Wundermann. I'm a traveling physician and as I was on my way to Magnolia, I was attacked by some bandits. They...they killed my horse leaving me with no way to run, so I stayed and fought. I've been blind my entire life, so sight isn't a sense I've grown to rely on but fighting while blind is a skill only a few people in the world can achieve, I am not one of them. So, as you can imagine, I was brutally beaten by the bandits and they took all of my belongings. The man who I presumed was the leader tore a hole in my torso and left me to die." König explained, his voice wrought with emotion. The doctor lowered his glasses and apologized.

"I'm sorry you had to go through that sir. I can assure you, your safety is guaranteed here in Magnolia, because the fiercest guild in Fiore protects this town." The doctor said resolutely. König furrowed his brow for a moment, 'Do I ask him who they are? I'm presuming they are very well known in this part of the world, so not knowing them would be...unusual.'

Then suddenly, without any use of The Almighty, a name came into mind, 'Fairy Tail. That's the guild he's speaking of, but how do I know that?'

König decided to answer that question after speaking with the doctor, "Oh you must be talking about Fairy Tail! I've heard they're a rambunctious group but have hearts of pure gold." König said with a laugh. The doctor laughed with him, "Indeed they are! One time, a fire suddenly broke out in my kitchen and I was so scared my house was going to come with it! But here comes Natsu, eating the fire like it was an afternoon snack!" He laughed while holding his belly.

They continued to small talk for a few more minutes until the doctor began walking out, "I'll have Connie bring you breakfast in a few minutes Mr. Wundermann. Do you have any entertainment requests?"

"No sir, I appreciate the offer." König smiled and the doctor nodded before closing the door. Once he felt the doctor was gone, König exhaled deeply. He got out of bed and looked at his self-inflicted wound. When he unwrapped the bandages he was expecting a hole in his body but that was left was a long gash stitched together.

"I didn't expect for my wound to heal so quickly. The healing capabilities of this world are decent, but I believe I can do better. I will do research on the energy of this world so that my abilities seem more...natural." König said as he paced around the room. He then thought back on how he knew the name of the Fairy Tail guild without using The Almighty.

'Did The Almighty activate subconsciously? No, that can't be...I wasn't thinking of the future of our conversation. So then where did that information come from?' König furrowed his brow in frustration. But then, a lightbulb shined above his head.

'The teenaged boy! The other half of the memories I hold.' König then closed his eyes and began to focus on those memories. At first it was nothing but darkness but then he felt a warm heat on his skin.

When he opened his eyes, he was standing in the middle of a vast library.

"Yo! You finally made it man!" König heard the voice of a teenaged boy behind him. When he turned around, there was an African-American boy around 17 years old, waving at him from a distance. He had blonde tipped dreads, earrings, a septum piercing, and was dressed in casual clothing.

König felt no animosity coming from him, so he waved back. When the boy reached König he spoke, "So you must be the person me and Y$#%#$, became whenever our souls fused."

The name the kid mentioned sounded like static to König, "I'm sorry you and who?"

"Me and Y$#%#$?" The boy repeated while tilting his head. The name sounded exactly the same to König, confusing him even more. The boy saw the confusion evident on his face and suddenly bursted out into laughter.

"Ahahaha! I know whatchu goin' through man. It's a very common trope for people of your origin. I bet if I said my name, it'll be static as well. I won't go into too much detail, but usually when you can't hear the name of certain people closely tied to your origin, it means you aren't ready or strong enough to handle the weight that comes with knowing those names." The boy said with a faint grin.

König was mind blown, 'Did he just accurately describe what I was going through and discerned that from one look of my face? And what does he mean "people of your origin"?'

"A-Are you some sort of God?" König asked incredulously. The kid huffed some air out of his nose in amusement, "Tch, I wish but unfortunately not, I'm just a dead kid who got fused with one of his favorite villains. Everything I know is because I've been a geek damn near my whole life. Whatever memories you have in your head from Y$#%#$ or B#!$%&, were all fictional stories in my world, including the world you're in now."

"So then...none of this is real?" König asked but the kid shook his head, "No everything you remember and experienced was real, at least for him. Every person, item, animal, you experience in Fairy Tail is real. That's the name of the world you're in by the way."

"I see. That is a difficult subject to digest so I apologize for any later shock or awe." König said apologetically.

"Don't worry about it man," The kid said as he waved his hand in his dismissal, "And since you're here I might as well give you something cool and a little OP right?" The kid vanished for a moment before reappearing with a thick black book with a white skull that had red eyes.

"I call this the Ultra Grand Grimoire of Death and Misery. It has every offensive spell from the Fairy Tail world inside of it along with an accurate description on how to use said magic. The beginning of the book has lower tiered spells and they will increase as you flip each page." The kid presented the book to König with a bright smile.

König nervously chuckled, "Thank you, although I'm not sure when I'll use this." The kid shrugged, "I'd rather have it and be safe than not have it and be in danger."

König nodded at his logic, "I see. Well then thank you. I will be sure to study this whenever I have free time. But before I go, I have a request."

The kid titled his head in question. König spoke, "Is it possible for you to give me a book with knowledge containing, countries, flora, fauna, magic, science, geopolitics, and an overall history of the world?"

"Man that's easy! I thought you were gonna ask for ultimate power or somethin'." The kid chuckled before vanishing and reappearing with a thick brown book, "This book contains everything you asked for plus a little more."

"Thank you." König gave him a slight bow. As he was about to leave, the kid yelled, "Wait! I forgot to mention, these books aren't physical. When you return to the physical world, all of the knowledge contained within those books will literally download into your head, so I would prepare for that."

König's eye twitched in annoyance, "I wish you would've told me that earlier." He said under his breath before returning to the physical world. As soon as he opened his eyes, millions of words began to flood his brain.

"KAGH!" König's nose, eyes, and mouth began to leak blood profusely. Before he lost consciousness, he turned to his side to not choke on his own blood. As this was occurring, nurse Connie had just opened the door to serve him his breakfast.

*CLANG*

"Oh my goodness! Mr. Wundermann!" Connie dropped his food and ran to his aid. A green magic circle appeared in front of her palms as a soft green light began to envelope König. He stopped convulsing and the bleeding began to slow.
