Chapter 21 - Epilogue

After the war, things got hectic. First and foremost, I had to hide the Leader to protect him from public unrest. Destiny is a funny thing. First, I wanted to take revenge on the Leader, then I wanted to protect him? I guess that just showed how unpredictable my life had gotten. Next was my promise to help his son. I quickly ate 10 oatmeal cookies. I was aware that 10 was twice beyond the threshold I could handle, but it was also the only amount of cookies that I could properly handle the repercussions from.

Since all of my cookie abilities stacked, my ability when I ate that many was so powerful that it could essentially heal any disease or ailment that existed on our planet. The downside was that every time I repaired my arm, it took more of my arm each time. Previously, I had lost all my arm down to my wrist, but now the damage was getting close to my biceps. He had woken up all confused. He tried to kill me, but his father stopped him and relayed to him the events of these past few weeks. He still hasn't adjusted, but he'll hopefully get used to it soon.

On the Leader's side, he stopped going by the Leader and changed his face to start going by Ivas. His story was that he was a captured general from faction Blaise. Most of the Sun faction's history had been lost by this point, though, so people didn't really question it, especially when he freed all royalty; they remembered him as the fallen general who helped the rising prince.

Among the freed royalty were my parents. The ones who'd brought me to this world, whom I hadn't seen for 17 years. When we met, I met as the prince rather than my other persona. It was hard to believe that someone who was once king was now a skinny middle-aged man with a beard that reached all the way down to the floor. My mom was somehow in good shape, just slightly older, as if she had never been imprisoned.

"Son?" he rasped, in a voice barely above a whisper.

"Hey, uh, Dad, it's me."

He looked ashamed of himself, and my mom approached me instead.

"I'm very proud of what you've accomplished. I'm thankful that you grew up the way you did instead of turning out to be like your dad and me. I'm sorry I couldn't be there for you. To be a proper mother. I don't want your forgiveness because I can never forgive myself. Please... just let us take care of you. Not as a way of making up, but just for our peace of mind."

I stared at her, "I'm just thankful that you didn't let me grow up in prison. I doubt I could've achieved much if I had. Though if I'm being honest, I'd like to let dad rule for a while. While I may be good at leading people, just having good charisma isn't enough. And anyway, I have a project to work on. Ruling a kingdom is a huge job, and it'll help you guys get back into the swing of things."

"I can't believe my son is so grown up already!" my mom cried as she hugged me.

My dad gave me a sad smile.

"If that's what you want, then I'll just hold it until you're ready. I promise, I'll become a ruler that's worthy of you calling me your father!"

The Emperor Meteor watched this from his spaceship, rapping his heavy black rings on his throne. He clicked his tongue and called for his assassin. He didn't have a real name. Only the ones that his victims gave him. He would scare the first time, and the second, kill. That was how it went back on their planet. Their species needed raisins, and their hunger had brought them here. The Witherlands... It was a good thing that Bitesize 7 was so big.

The assassin soon arrived and then knelt in front of the king.

"I am here, Sire!"

"How was your trip to Bitesize?"

"It was good, my lord."

"Anything?"

"Well, you are indeed correct. As soon as I got to the surface of Bitesize, I picked up raisins on my radar. I ran into some trouble, but I got some new powers. Speaking of which, now that I'm superior Raimus, there is no reason for your existence."

"You dare speak against your king?"

"A weakling like you? Don't make me laugh."

Immediately, he summoned his shadow blade and sliced off the head of the creature that he once called king. He put on the king's gauntlet and royal rings and looked around. No guards dared to contest him. Why kill the Cookie Bandit? There was still so much fun to be had. He looked at himself in the mirror and examined his reflection. He then put on the royal crown and looked and grinned in triumph.

This would be the beginning of a new saga. A new beginning. He would traverse the universe and do whatever he wanted!
